Not good, not bad.6pm and the manager asks us to turn a small Bluetooth speaker down as the neighbours are complaining...think shes complaining coz she lives in a unit next door.Bed as hard as rocks. Towels stank...left in corner or bathroom floor to not be replaced. Room not serviced everyday.Breakfast is fantastic. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Amazing view, and an even better breakfast. I have never tasted such amazing mushrooms with my bacon and eggs. Dont forget about the coffee they have! Best coffee I have had in a very long time. Also very friendly staff who are very welcoming. There is also free wi-fi as well as a kitchen seperate for guests to use that has items to purchase.PS, the stairs might tire you out a bit but the view and stay is definitely well worth it!!!

Our room, Lucerne Blue, was spotless and comfortable. Great king size bed with beautiful linen and lots of pillows. We didn’t have a chance to use our braai set up outside but it looked inviting and thoughtfully set up with everything one might need. Our breakfast, cooked by the manager (Dee) was absolutely delicious and filling. We will be back!

Just about to leave Blue Bottle Guesthouse after a great three days. Taryn and Andrew (and Sasha their 3 yr old son) were welcoming with their home and generous with ideas and information regarding low-key activities and places of interest.5 minutes from the beach local train!Homemade breakfast was perfect as well. The rooms are spacious and clean - many of them have balconies overlooking the ocean. This is a must stay guesthouse! I have travelled all my life and easily place the Blue Bottle at the top of my list for people seeking the perfect place to stay.

What an amazing stay. Comfy beds, great views, awesome people...You cant ask for more. From the moment you walk in the door you will feel right at home. Andrew and Taryn will make you feel part of the family, and you will soon feel like it. Bluebottle Guesthouse is in a perfect spot at Muizies. Walking distance to the beach makes it ideal to catch a wave or two, but first speak to the resident guru himself (Andrew) to know when the best time is to catch that wave. Oh lets not forget that amazing breakfast in the morning to start your day. Awesome place!

After getting lost trying to find this guest house, you then realise why you work so mich to FIND it almost like a hidden gem. Similarly, once found it gives a feeling of being on top which is where you inevitably end up after climbing a lengthy flight of stairs which would give even the fittest of gym enthusiasts a sweat for their money, literally. :-)The view from the top more than makes up for it though. Apart from not having a TV set in your room, limited noise-privacy as the sound easily escapes the confines of your wooden floor room too easily, the Friendly, Efficient and Customer centric service augmented by the fast Wi-Fi topped by the breathtaking view of the ocean, Muizenberg and Other more than compensates for your sacrifices - no matter how forced. You just cant help but adore the Blue Bottle. I would definitely come back here for its neat and cost set up.

I stayed at the Bluebottle Guesthouse for 6 weeks and it was a real pleasure. Andrew and Taryn are wonderful hosts. They made me a lovely breakfast each morning and helped me out with many things that I needed during my stay, for example, renting a car. I even went for a surf with Andrew. I originally told Andrew the wrong dates for my stay and changing them was not a problem. He was very kind about this considering the inconvenience I may have caused him.My room was incredible. Andrew has a passion for butterflies and there are beautiful butterflies above the bed. It was spacious and light and I had all the things I needed. The view from my balcony is particularly fantastic. I have never woken up or gone to bed to such sights. My room was cleaned every day to a high standard. A washing service was provided and my clothes would come back beautifully folded. There were also good drinks and snacks in the fridge.Andrew and Taryn have two children, Sasha and Charlotte, both are very cute and whenever they are around they bring a lovely energy to the room. They also have two dogs and two cats, all are very friendly. The dogs can bark when they first meet you, but this was never a problem for me. I was never woken by any noise from the dogs or children.Other things which reviewers commented on... there is free WiFi, it is very close to False Bay train station, the market on Fridays is fantastic, the surf is great, there are hikes close by.Overall, a perfect stay, and from speaking to other B&B goers in Muizenberg about their experience, I am 100% sure that this is where you should stay if you come to visit.Room Tip: Cape Blue is the biggest, most spacious, most luxurious. You even get your own plate collection and have the best possible view of Muizenberg.
