Very peaceful spot. Please note that the staircase leading to and from this little peace of heaven is a little daunting and steep. Be careful when carrying your beach goodies on up and down trips. Take lots of sunscreen or if youre tanning.. this is quite perfect. We use to visit here every December. Great for family outings especially for parents with kids who love swimming. You can keep a close eye on them, because of the shallow water. Bonus, is that the rocks form a sort of enclosed space..so kiddies can stay quite close by.Some coral reef on the sea floor..so be extra careful not to slip.Regular police patrols, keeps it relatively safe, Although, IT IS always more safe, to have a travel companion ANYWHERE in ANY AREA that youre planning on getting out of your car.Lovely spot. Add this to your must visit summer spots.
Extraordinary cold sea, beautiful rocks, warm winter sun, forests of kelp. Good diving.
I loved this place so much, Im scared to review it because I dont want it to become too popular. (lol kidding, not kidding) its a quiet, lesser known beach. The beach can only be accessed by using the stairs which leads from the parking to the sand and lots of boulders. Worth the trip. Be careful if its windy!
A spectacular spot along our Peninsula, truly the most beautiful City in the world 🌊👍
Pretty small beach area when it is high tide but great for a dip or snorkeling. When its low tide, even more so. Definitely worth a venture
Cosy Bay is such an incredible little secluded spot. Its just such a shame that there is always SO much litter and broken glass all over the place. The morning we went there, there were two big groups of teenagers, who arrived with alcohol and narcotics (at 9am on a Sunday!), with blaring music. That ruined it. But the beach itself is gorgeous.
Nice and calm waters. Nice place to picnic. Quiet and peaceful
One of my favourite beaches. Its so unbelievably beautiful. The water is clean, it feels very much out of the city
Brilliant diving spot 👌🏻 visit Justins Caves and Strawberry 🍓 Rocks#3square.digital
Absolutely loved the view. Tiny beach, not crowded at all. Most people just take in the views from the top. Very few people go down to the beach. Cool spot to read a book. There are a few benches but no restrooms as it is basically just a pit stop.
Cosy Beach also known as Sandy Cove is a popular open water dive site. Many local divers probably dived there as part of their training. It is relatively protected even when the South Easter wind blows. During low tide the minute sandy beach is a beautiful picnic spot, but for safety reasons rather visit it as part of a group.
Beautifull views
Hope you brought some snorkeling gear.
I come here every year on my birthday , its amaizing , a place to hide out, no water threats.. And the rocks look as if God placed them down one by one.. If you look closer , the rocks forms shapes of sea creatures .. Look closely . Most amazing beach in cpt apart from clifton4th
This beach has potential, however too many of its users feel it is okay to smash bottles against the rocks thus leaving broken glass in the tidal pool which is a hazard of note
We had a very pleasant experience.
Lovely for the family
Awesome sunsets
Very beautiful place for an outing. There is no natural shelter so bring an umbrella or gazebo. The sand is very coarse so organise some protection for your feet - trust me, you will appreciate this suggestion.
Charming location.
Great place for some epic open water swims , kelp , seals , nice swells
Beautiful secluded beach. Just a pity about the waste (beer bottles, glass, etc.) on the beach.
Secluded beach and very nice
Lovely private beach , want to set out and scuba there. Only two issues no toilets or changing rooms on the beach so people do there bussiness in the bushes and the beach is dirty. People litter is in the bushes ect. When I go again I am taking a black bag to pick up some rubbish . Beach as beautiful as this on should not be neglected.
Great place to make love beneath the moonlight.
Except for the way too much glass on the beach... great spot. Cosy indeed. Water is icy. But amazing for a quick snorkel.
Shh this place is a secret
Small nice beach
Amazing little cove and the water was fresh and cold in true Cape Town style.
Perfect if the wind howls south east, but the water is pretty cold
Beautiful and calm, but beware of the families with kids.
Its all in the name... great for an easy beach-side chill
Somewhat cosy the City of Cape Town needs to put some toilets up.
Natural beauty corrupted by man. Beautiful sandy beach with boulders and kelp forests. Beware of broken glass bottles and litter. Sad that some people dont care
Very nice place
Lovely spot but unfortunately full of trash everywhere. I have to clean up all around me every visit.
Lovely beach protected by wind and sea.
Secluded, but beach full of broken glass. There’s also a lot of people who come to consume alcohol and drugs.
Private little beach. Like so many tucked away in Cape Town
Beautiful sea but lots of broken glass.
Filled with litter, broken glass and dirty sewage water. Disgusting!
Small beach, dirty. Very quiet.
One of Capetowns
Great place to chill on a summer day🌝
The scenery is gorgeous and its open to all💕
Cape Town best kept beach secret!
Its enclosed and not full
Very pretty
Water is freezing but love everything else. So much memories
Great place with excellent sea views
Very cosy indeed! Not!
Nice place but there is too much broken glass (beer bottles) and dirt.
Small but nice and quiet
