Guys, what’s happened to your coffee? :( this used to be one of my all time favourite spots in Cape Town, but the coffee has become undrinkable. I asked for my cup to be remade, and I had to end up throwing away the second one even :(

Very nice coffee shop with a great vibe...Only bummer is they dont have snap scan. I would suggest management brings this to their business like maaaaaany other CPT coffee shops.Allows for swift service/payment, and the best part is no contact with money or electronic pay points. Good drinks, trendy place, great vibes, friendly staff

Good neighbourhood spot with friendly staff and lots of healthy options. For the evening (or whenever) they have a solid selection of wine and craft beer. From an American perspective... I was happy to see hot dogs and pickle backs on the menu. Felt like home.

A good bar to go to, its always vibe-y with decent crowd. The bar has a lot of character which adds to the experience with a lot of small places to sit and group in. The two bouncers are friendly but keep the place in check.

Avo brekkie is a winner!

This place seems to be a local favorite. Its packed after 6 pm! I loved their salad soo much though and i had a great time

The Nutella cheesecake is absolutely fantastic. The coffee is good. The service at the counter can be better. The shop draws a young and hipster - looking crowd. The parking is terrible. However, in all it was a pleasant experience. Closed on Sundays.

The place is pretty good. But, well, I dont know if can really rate the establishment on this criteria, but the clientele are a bunch of pretentious knobs. Not my friends though. They are just knobs.

The Power and the Glory has been a staple in my life for many years, it is a lovely spot with affordable relaxed food, and a great selection of drinks.

The chocolate croissant is so delicious! Breakfast menu choices are simple and tasty choices.

Great coffee during the day and sweet spot to hang out. Awesome vibes and super staff. Friendly and inviting for a Digital Nomad or a meeting during the day. At night conversations become more philosophical over a good selection of craft beer. They dont have Windhoek Draft though. Namibian beer is a must in all Cape Town Bars.

One of the best bars in town. Fine people and good atmosphere. My recommendation: order two drinks, because the bar is every time full!

A Cape Town institution! Part coffee shop/cafe and part bar. The ideal place for after work drinks.Space is limited and fills up quite quickly. The crowd spill onto the sidewalk and there is always a very intimate vibe.Friendly staff, good food and an even better atmosphere.

Service at the bar could be improved. The rest of the facility is excellent. Its small and inviting. The facility sits on a busy corner which allows you to watch the cars and people scurrying by. Great vibe and excellent craft beer

Cute, antique aesthetic, nice background noise. The staff seem a bit shy though.

Its a really great spot to go for a day coffee or lunch with a couple friends. At night its better for a larger group, as it gets quite bustling with really large crowds. I often drive by seeing quite a mass of people outside at night. Coffee is decent, but not consistent. Food is reasonably priced, and good, but not memorable. It has a nice atmosphere, and feels like the home of slightly distant relative.

Simple bar that serves wine, beers or cider. We sat at the roadside window bar for a late evening drink. Self service bar area. Meals are available and menu looked simple but exciting. Good relaxed vibe.

P+G is probably my favorite bar in Cape Town. Im not sure I can say exactly why, but I think it is primarily a function of the people and the experiences Ive had there, as opposed to the place. The drink prices are reasonable, and the service is quick. You can smoke in the back, which for me is a plus. Amazing people congregate here. Ive had so many fantastic nights that started here, often beginning with a chat to strangers, mayhem insuring shortly after. Its great fun and I recommend it to anyone who hasnt been.

Great gathering spot, watering hole, coffee stop, food bar - whatever your need - for locals and travellers of all ages. Warm, friendly little gem of a place. Take your pooch along if its well socialised.

Great place for an after work drink. The hot dogs are very yummy and generous. Coffee is good. Service is always good, but it can get very busy in the evenings. Nice and sunny.

Iconic local hang out ! Institutional

Trendy bar with a small, but delicious menu. Gets quite crowded in Friday/Saturday evenings. During the day it’s filled with freelancers. Definitely recommend the hotdog and pie - they’re delicious!

This is one of my favorite little coffee shops. Great for spending the day working (but bring your own wifi). The food is just a little more interesting and better prepared than many nearby spots, coffee is amazing and the staff rock. But dont go for a Sunday brunch... They will be closed...

Still one of my favourite places in Cape Town. Part coffee shop, part bar, coffee is served until 10pm, but is best during the day. Crowd is very Cape Town with a wild and pretty mixture of eccentric hipsters, laptop workers, students, local Kloof Street types and beach-goers. Relaxed and grungy decor feels a bit like a Karoo diner.

The smoothie is okay but if youre not white, expect your food to be brought out last. My partner and I placed an order for a simple lunch. 45 minutes later, every non-coloured patron who ordered well after we did was served their lunch. It took three reminders to finally get our food which had to be taken away because of time constraints.

Always crowded but good drinks!

If you’re ever here and have „the hunger“ the best kept secret in Cape Town is the Quiche! It is the best I’ve ever eaten and I’m super fussy. Also this place has an amazing vibe, cool people and f-ing amazing beer!

Great place for a coffee and a quick bite during the day. After sundown, it fast becomes on of the cities busiest spots, so come for a drink if you like high energy environments and rubbing shoulders with lots of Cape Towns most interesting people.

Cool little bar but a mission to get a drink when it is busy. The could really do with another staff member on the bar or a non cocktail section.The only thing I really didnt like about it was the smoking part of the bar. I forgot how much smoking kills the atmosphere in a bar.I did like the bar but the above two things could really do with being sorted as that would put me off going again.

Really fun bar with a diverse crowd who go there. Variety of craft beer on offer. When the bar gets busy the service really suffers. Dont be in a rush. The summer nights are too hot for that.

Lekker chilled place to go for a meal or to get some work done. Delicious freshly pressed juices.

Nice atmosphere, but the outdoor seating is poorly designed, creates overcrowding, indoors its very hot. They also did not have fruit juice nor cordials available, which I feel should be normal behind a bar.

Prices competitive with a great vibe, mostly young people. It can become extremely busy, but still worth popping in for a couple of drinks.

Fun and trendy bar, or coffee spot. Vegan hot dogs are great! Busy.

The food varies wildly between good comfort food (hotdogs! Pies!) to pretty damn inedible (something I had for breakfast a month ago that tasted like cardboard) - But its a nice, central place to go for a coffee during the day, or a drink at night.

Check this bar out in town, its a must experience. Always a fun time with local peeps of all kinds.
