We had a farewell for a friend in here. They dont charge to hire out the venue for a function. Cozy vibe, limited selection of things to buy (no food), but it makes up for that in friendly service and character.I later had my farewell here and really saw this place come alive. Organising things with the staff was easy and everyone had an awesome time! We played our own music, and the man in charge have me a drink on the house since I was leaving. The staff really felt like friends...amazing gem this.

Great concept and one of my favourite places. Whether it is a midweek break or a good unwind on a Friday after a long week, you are always guaranteed a good time and good wine. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

A hidden gem in Somerset West , it’s probably one of the coolest places in the town. It’s viby , cozy and absolutely perfect for after work drinks or just a catch up session with friends . They have a fantastic Wine selection, craft Gins and even craft Beers.

Probably the coolest place in Somerset West. Cozy, hipster, and buzzing. Great selection of wines which is always changing and everything by the glass. Happy hour two for one mon-thurs 4-6pm. Look out for weekly events such as masterclasses or quiz nights. If in doubt check the Facebook page to make sure they are open. Great cheese and charcuterie platters. Keep it up guys!

First time visiting the bigger Proof since the year they opened. Did not indulge in cocktails or beers but stuck to my old favourite, wine. As of old, not a huge selection but, oh boy, what a selection! And if you have a question about a particular wine, feel free to ask away! Great to visit a place that not only sells wine but actually knows wine as well.

A cosy and sophisticated wine focussed bar that has become a trendy favourite in the area. They serve a variety of local wines and make great gin based cocktails along with platters and the like. They have regular events such as wine blending competitions and music evenings. They bring much needed life to this corner of Somerset West.

Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The venue is a little small. The music was pretty decent, some Queen and Cindy Lauper, if thats your thing.The drinks were good. I understand Gin is all the craze right now, but for someone who doesnt like Gin, I found the Cocktail options limiting.

When the opened the wine list was filled with interesting and boutique style wines. Gone are those days - just a number of average wines are now stocked.Place was nice and busy, interesting decor. Pity about the wine list...

The place is rather tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle, which doesnt make it any less interesting, but all the more desirable. The interior is both modern and stylish, yet cool and laid-back, and perfect for small groups and those girls nights out! We stayed for hours, enjoying their wine and tapas, which were delicious and really reasonably priced. In short: we had a great time, and others will, too!

Its called restaurant number 7, celebrated my 77st, impressed about the fish dish served. Started with 7 oysters, all around number 7. Visited a week later again with great satisfaction. Recommendable.

Popped down to Proof Wine Bar to celebrate the countdown to my birthday...we were a party of 5 and i must say, this was an awesome place with really unpretentious people. Dj was on point, bar ladies were welcoming and friendly and the vibe was infectious...Best place in Somerset for a drink and some great vibes
