Got asked to stand out side while being in a que inside for 10 minutes. Only saw one staff member. No one at the door, no one inside. How is this branch still open? At Absa you are greeted at the door politely guided and assisted. Tried to phone customer service, after holding for 8 minutes I hung up. To phone and get my business done did not take that long in total with Absa. This branch and Standard Bank is pathetic.

This ATM probably only accepts cash 1 day a week if you’re lucky... and the inside closes at 3.30pm like it’s still 1975... all round pathetic. So if you have cash, rather spend it because these guys don’t know what to do with it. I have one standard bank account, and it’s 2 too many for me!

I would rate the staff member who assisted me lower than a 1 star bit the app does not allow a zero rating. The consultant was texting on her phone for most of the time while assisting ....barely assisting us. We spent 1,5 hrs in a queue, then another 1.5hr with Keisha, the consultant, all just to change a current youth account to a student one. Inefficient service and we still have to return for the bank card itself. Good GOD! How long will we wait then! Without co19, I doubt the service itself will improve. I agree with the previous comments and ratings....this branch should not exist if the staff keep delivering a below average service.

When you are unsure if you should make a scene because you have been in the branch for 10 minutes without being acknowledged - do it because then they help you immediately!

I would score less but cant. 3rd time here, only one consultant on site. No customer service. All I want is to pick up a card???There is no customer communication but a rolling advert telling you how great they are but its a joke. Avoid this place if you can or come and enjoy the AC for a couple of hours.If Lockdown wast bad enough this is a fresh new hell where you get nothing but the bombardment of advertising like owning DSTV but not in the comfort of your own home with a prohibition style labeless bottle next to you.

I cancellation my credit card on 2nd of January after being robbed and after many calls and miss information that Durbanville branch was closed down finally got to Durbanville today 26th January to find it open. I was the only customer in there waiting for a consultant so that I could collect my new card. There were only two consultants on duty who were busy with their cell phones and laughing while I sat waiting for almost 10 minutes. When I finally got to see one she couldnt find my card as it was miss filed. Something needs to be done about the service at this branch.

Extremely slow service. Yes, its covid regulations but even so they clearly arent capable of planning. Not only this, the woman at the front who allows entry, checks temperature etc, is not suited for a job in customer service. Unpleasant tone. Unpleasant body language. Unpleasant interaction. Just such a condescending, and narcissistic persona. The second time Ive been here and this person alone has ruined my experience.

BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the service is non existing at all. A few times I wanted to draw money on the inside of the bank because it is safer, but they would have allot of stories of why not and I should go outside, even if I agree to the fee to draw inside they would not help me. Now when we wanted to cash a cheque you have to call first, they have people in positions that would rather be on their phones than to help you or it is people that does not know how their system works or cant answer your questions.This is the baddest Standard Bank I have ever been to (and I have been to a few). I would actually rate them with minus 5 , but there is no option..

New to the area and decided to take our business to this branch as it is closer than Tyger manor. Well we now have to swollow our regret as the one consultant provided at the enquiry desk was so unhelpful to say the least. She definitely is not happy in her job and throughout the time spent with her, sucking out information from her, not once did she refer to myself or my husband as Mr and Mrs. It was either he or she. Very unprofessional. She then sent us off to the home loan cubicle to attend to other customers and from then on gave little attention to the point that we both started to argue over her lack of acknowledging that we are the customers asking her for help. She actually told the customer she was assisting to at the time that I have an attitude and they went onto discuss this. She eventually called some other staff from the back to assist us. We could have spent close to 2 hours and accomplished little. She should be fired.

The most shocking service at Standard Bank Durbanville. Always queues at the tellers. No acknowlegement at all. The worst ever branch manager. No assistance what so ever!!!! Next to Telkom this must be the absolute worst run business in Cape Town.!!!!!!! Will definately not have a personal account here!!!!! Staff see you hit totally ignore you and think its funny. The manageress should be trained and maybe the staff wont follow her lead. JUST SHOCKING!!!!!!! Worst ever ......This will be the absolute last place to take out any loans. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH STANDARD BANK!!!!!
