Standard bank Century City its such a pleasure to always visit there. The service is exclusive and you dont wait to long for help. All staff members is doing a fantastic job, but there is always one staff member that will always stands out his name is Darian. I dont know his surname but such a energetic vibrant person. To me his quite famous all customers always ask after him for help. His outcome of his job everyday is 110% and his one of the staff members tht takes pride in his job everyday Thank you Darian for all your help

Today I was turned away from accessing the #Department of Home Affairs at Standard Bank Canal Walk. An online application for re-issue was done online, I had paid and attended at the Home Affairs only to be told by an assistant that I have to make a booking online to have biometrics completed. I explained there is no way to make a booking online yet she was not assisting.What exactly is going on at this branch?

Great service. Timing is important, dont go on a Saturday, go during a weekday. Check the google times for when theyre busiest so you wont have to wait in queues.

Ive been trying for DAYS on end to get through to the Canal Walk branch via phone, particularly the Home Affairs section, with no success. As many others, applied online for my passport, paid, with no option of making a booking online to do biometrics. So what is the port of call if you cannot make an appointment online for biometrics, you cannot get assistance on the phone, and you cannot walk in to make an appointment for another day? ### FRUSTRATION

I found the foreign exchange helpful but the service poor. I was there last Friday and the person involved only started work at 11. I realise it is shortage of staff but I send him 3emails to which he did not tespond

Terrible service .Only 1 teller at month ends opening and closing times despite the long queues leading to outside the bank .Long waiting times .Pathetic.No management in sight .

Nice looking branch, too bad there is no one to assist customers. Totally understand why the branch is so poorly rated. Revised this to 1 star as subsequent visits to the branch have been equally as poor. The branch manager should be ashamed that they make customers wait in a line for 30 min to ask a question, to be told to wait in another line. Its a joke that they charge us for it too.

Online apps for home affairs dont work for appointments. Telephones just ring. Email adresses are either outdated, or never answered. If you go with out an appointment you arent assisted

It’s so frustrating to deal with the poor and non exciting service of Standard/Stanbic, surely someone monitors the issues and complaints and act on these to improve customers service and retain you’re loyal customer base ??It’s so poor twice in a row if done immediate transfer to beneficiaries that I’ve paid numerous times before, without any luck .I then had to go through the painful process of phoning the helpline, go through security question and all sorts of nonsense, again and again, come on standard bank, can someone start taking you’re online business serious, look at all the negative feedback, do you really need our business??You’re negative publicity around the illegal handling of funds doesn’t look great either ?Very concerned client, not for long !!Francois

I received an sms from standard bank on Friday afternoon to say that my new bank card was ready to be collected. I came into the branch on Saturday morning to fetch my card that had not been delivered. Shocking service that would actually notify me to come collect my bank card that wasnt even there. I work everyday until 4pm so Saturday is the only day I can get to the bank while it is open. Now I have to wait another week to attempt this collection again. Extremely disappointing service standard bank.

Cant get through telephonically to ask if they have change available. The 0860.. number always cuts while call centre is trying to connect you to branch. So you have to go all the way there just to find that there is nothing. same with Milnerton branch.

Why there is no way of calling this bank directly I dont know. All phone numbers are for the national call centre which will have you on hold for ages, eventually answering and failing to transfer you to the branch in question. USELESS!

Came to collect Smart ID card. The queue was absolutely rediculous. Only 1 person behind the counter working on a very slow system. You have to stand in the same queue whether you made an appointment or just coming to collect!

Pathetic service.. captured incorrect cell number and email address!! Because of this I couldnt apply for my internet banking! Opened an account and I was cross questioned about why I want the account when it looks like I cant even keep my current bank account (with another bank)afloat! (Meaning I dont make deposits into my cheque account) who makes deposits, when you get your salary every month and move it to a savings account to earn interest? What business is it of theirs? Canal walk worst branch ever! I then went to a smaller branch in my area and it was such a pleasure to be helped with divinity and integrity.

Very very dissapointed with this bank their ATM swallowed my money on the 27th of Dec last year they promised to deposit it on the 3rd till today i have been waiting and when i go to the branch they cannot assist me as they are unable to call the claims department

On Monday 2 nd I called on you to order foreign currency as I am traveling overseas. It was the most enjoyable experience ever! ! I needed to renew my passport which had already expired and I am going overseas on the 19th August so I only had 17days to get my new passport otherwise I would have been in such trouble. I logged in through the eHome affairs website, made a booking at standard Bank, paid online through my standard bank acc, on the day of the booking I was there for no longer than 10minutes and I had done photos, biometric stuff and all the rest. 5 days later I got an sms to say passport was ready for pick up. Keep in mind that they only accept green ID books so drivers license wont work. Be friendly with them and youll be extremely happy with the service .. 10out of 10

Website shows closes at 2pm. Pls amend as causes great inconvenience . Got to store 5 minutes past 12 & althoug h clients in store no one interested in helping despite me waving my cell phone with webpage indicating 2pm closure and waving a form which needed bankstamp to confirm account number. Staff here not interested in going extra mile for their clients.

I went in yesterday at 10am to sign documents for my banker. They still havent sent the documents through. Its been more than 24hours. You cant possibly be that busy you cant spare 5mins to scan in documents to email it.
