Love this bank. Was there on a Tuesday afternoon - got seen to seamlessly - left there unrattled and calm. They have a nice set up - queuing in big chairs to see a consultant. One on one service was excellent and the booths are private. Was very comfortable - old style in this new digital era is very welcome. Thanks guys!

I went to the Cape Gate branch on a Saturday morning to open an account. Wait time was around 20 minutes (which isnt that long compared to other banks and considering that it was a Saturday) and there are comfortable chairs to sit on. I was helped by Randall, a very knowledgable consultant. Everything was explained to me clearly and thoroughly, and he took his time in making sure I had everything I need. Great customer service.

The service is slow by enquiries because most of the times there is one person attending to a lot of clients & you wait over 30mins for one client to be helped Ive turned back more than 3 times just picking up a card which is a big inconvenience to me🙄

Lots of people walking around at a snails pace and shuffling papers, not so many assisting customers, the place is a disgrace, they seem to think because they have all day so do we, impossible to rate the service, there simply isnt any.

Has a great look inside but thats about it. Seems pretty under staffed. We arrived and went straight to the unattended info desk and ended up having to find someone to assist us to tell us who we had to speak to for our issue. They didnt even know what we were talking about and just handed us their landline phone at the consultants desk to call someone else at standard bank to explain.

I have been sitting in the bank for 22 mins, and i have seen only one employee at enquiries assisting customers and three others staff members talking behind the desk. While there is a lot of customers sitting and waiting. At least they have chairs....

What a refreshing new look for this branch. I hardly go to a branch so dont know when the revamp was, but great job. This setup looks inviting with minimal doors to pass through. Service was just not as fast as I would have liked. Just came to pickup Credit Cards that were renewed and had to sit in a queue, maybe a speedier process for Card collection would be Standards Next.

Two consultants busy with two clients for more than hour and more than 12 people waiting in the bank and countless others queueing outside. We understand the impacts of Covid. But stop using this as an excuse for outdated systems and processes.

Geoffet the business banker promised at 11am Friday past, he will send my requested statements to my bookkeeper and I, it is a very urgent matter, unfortunately it is Sunday evening and nothing is done, really poor service.

I went to the bank to give them my new cell phone number. I asked the lady to see if my app will work. She said that it will only work after an hour. That is strange because at FNB they could help me immediately. The app didnt work and I had to drive all the way back there. She had the correct phone number, but her explanation was that my email address was wrong. I had to wait again because according to her it will take a few hours for the email to pull through. She also said that the new number will go through to my home loan account which I hope is true? Today I tried to go to the app and it told me that the app is not set to my email address! Do I have to drive to the bank again???

Unfortunately my visit to this branch was painful to say the least.. We waited to see a consultant for longer than 30 minutes and this was during a quiet time. Wednesday afternoon mid-month. The person sitting next to me started vocalizing his unhappiness with the long wait and was subsequently helped. I do no know what the problem is.. What I do know is that there must be better way to waste my time. .

Unacceptable in this digital Era!Slow service and systems, long lines, sign your life away, wait for prints. What is the purpose of the finger print system? Why cant it be used for authorisation? Not like someone using my cut-off finger from a box.I have to put in a days leave to get service here!Shouldnt even get a star!Watse star, for who.... For what?

Such a disappointing experience. Recently moved to the area & this is our closest branch. 1 teller who was serving1 client for 25 minutes while I was in the bank so no idea how long it took in total as I didnt stay long enough to monitor. They could not help us with our Ucount pin number as their phones were down. 1 teller at the counter to link 2 of my accounts with a queue of only 4 before me but busy with 1client for ages. 5 other staff visible but none offered to help as Ive seen happen at other branches when things get busy and you could not even call this busy. There were 8 clients in Bank in total. What has happened to old fashioned service!

My grivening father was there trying to sort out my late mothers paper work for over a month Either the staff where highly incompetent, or the paper work got lost or some other patchetic excuse. For someone who is trying to sort out there late loved ones paperwork you have MADE IT 100 TIMES WORSE!! !!!! please train your staff properly. Im lucky I dont use such a useless bank.

I hate this bank😠payed 140 for a new card so the made a mistake now i cant swipe my new card and now i have to pay another 140 for a new card why must i pay for there mistake and plus why do you have to wait so long to be helped thank god i went to capitec im not even 5 mins in capitec and a consultant sees me standerdbank is never the same like it use to be

Got there at opening time. Short wait in a clean environment with social distancing. Very helpful consultant who made sure all my queries were responded to. Excellent service.
