Loving it Lebanese. This little gem of a place is a must visit and its halaal. As you enter, the aroma of warm bread captivates all your senses and from that moment you know your day is going to get better.Warm friendly service, lovely decor, a happy place, free wifi access, so chill, chat and enjoy. My darling and I had a 1.Tasting Plate(warm pita with several dips) 2.Fatayer (Spiced meat filled triangle), 3.Falafel Platter (falafel covered in sesame seeds, yummy, some pickles, salad and dips) coupled with Turkish Coffee and Latte. I loved the warm, soft and fresh pitas, yum yum. The dips were many and all with their own flavours. The taste of cardammon flavour of the coffee was an experience. Not bad, but not a favourite for me.They have fresh juices, coffees and teas. Next time I will try the hibiscus tea. Mint is already a favourite for me.This place is an experience not to be missed. They also do takeaways and sell various jams, teas, breads, dips and more, to stock up on your new favorites. Lots foodie gifting ideas available.
Freshly made authentic Lebanese awesomeness!!! Food is divine and great service. A must visit. Place was busy when we visited with family but the lady in charge made a plan and in no time we were indulging in some divine Middle Eastern cuisine! They also have freshly made juices and not to mention one of the best Turkish coffee I tasted in Cape Town!
Absolutely love their food. So fresh and healthy. Tuesdays are the best, they currently have a 2 for 1 on their falafel sandwich. Scrumptious!!Intended to take a pic but it didnt last long enough. My colleague got lucky and got the freebie also enjoyed it. She said it was delicious 😋.
The bread is wood fire baked. Some of the best pita breads Ive ever had
Proper Middle Eastern falafels. The food was fresh and the service was friendly. Cant wait to try the other things on the menu.
Great food, friendly staff and a very unique experience!
Love the food..fresh and tasty. Staff are really friendly and go the extra mile. All bread is baked on the premises..my favourite is the falafel platter and fatayers yum yum..there are fresh prepared dips and I spotted some baklava this morning...
Utterly delicious, fresh, quality food. Dont miss their buy-one-get-one-free falafel sandwiches on Tuesdays. The grocery section is also great and has hard-to-find items, like loose hibiscus tea, olive paste and freshly made pita, at very reasonable prices.
Unbelievable! Just left and I cant wait to go back. Staff was friendly, food was delicious and well priced. There were also a lot of vegan options. Thanks for a lovely experience
A great experience, cozy dining with phenomenal welcoming environment. From the moment one walks in, the reception and attention to detail. Great service. Thank you Steven 😊. Will recommend the 2 for 1 Tuesday special.
Great little.spot with some fantastic food. Theres honestly not enough shops like this they are doing so much right fresh pita and some great dips is all you need and surprisingly, the iced coffee is likely the best Ive ever had.
Love this place. Fresh pitas baked daily and all the middle Eastern dips like hummus, tatziki, etc. They also have an amazing menu
The Pita breads are to die for! The service is always friendly and quick. If you take away or in eat food is divine, tastey and authentic
Wow, wow, wow! A fortuitous stop at the traffic light, ramp up the pavement, enter a world of taste and the gorgeous personality of Cara! Highly recommended!
Love the food. Good atmosphere. Clean environment. Friendly staff
Excellent quality and very friendly staff! Wish theyd actually make effort in getting an accredited Halal certification organization to check the setup. Halal friendly is not the same
Unique on site bakery. Fresh Middle Eastern breads. Handmade hummus, labneh, baba ganush, olives, dukkah and more. Friendly and helpful staff.
Fresh pita breads, the best Ive had for a long time.
This delightful deli is worth a visit for the freshly baked pita alone! Amazing selection of dips, olives and deliciousness. Ive taken a point off for lack of parking, although they are available via Uber eats, but unfortunately not in my area, and whilst the falafel were tasty, they were quiet dense. I adored every one of the 4-5 dips we bought and the marinated olives were sublime, Ill buy two containers next time for sure! Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely worth a visit
A quaint cafe, situated opposite Melomed Claremont. The cafe is ideal for light Middle Eastern meals with friends, family, or by yourself. The hummus is tasty and anything with zataar is always a good choice. The menu has a variety of beverages that range from traditional to contemporary. The cafe is suitable as a work space. The owner is friendly and sweet.Items are moderately priced.Fully halal.
Love love love the Lebanese bakery, great value for money, but best of all the food and flavours are delicious. All the dishes I have tasted so far have a depth of flavour and you can tell they have been made with love and passion !
Popped in to this delightfully themed bakery come restaurant to try some other cultures food. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. A descent variety of options to get the Lebanese dining experience.
If youre looking for something fresh and wholesome this is the place. My girlfriend and I eat here almost every weekend and the foods great. I highly recommend you try them out.If you dont know what to order try the falafel sandwich and an iced coffee. 👌🏻
The smell alone makes me want to spend all my money. Friendly staff, good food. A hidden gem in the southern suburbs.
What a little gem hidden away in Claremont. Most divine food, and everything freshly made
A real authentic Lebanese mezza, falafels and maneesh. Always adding to their menu. Great experience.
Great service. Went above and beyond to help me.
What a gem. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, with the pita bread coming out of the oven literally seconds before being served. I will definitely be back
Tasting plate 😋😋😋All things nice🤩
Brilliant food, flat breads fabulous. Friendly, charming reception. Leaves you wanting more!
Clean, wonderfully fresh food. Awesome coffee & a very well priced Falafel. Service needs to be improved as the server was the Jill of all Trades , just too many duties besides serving.
Incredible food especially the warm and yummy pita breads and always so friendly!! Thanks you guys..keep up the good work
I drive all the way from Stellenbosch at least 2x a month to buy the best food ever!!
Horrendously expensive. I ordered 3 sides and 2 orders of bread and I paid R300 expecting a large portion size, but only received about a cup of each side and 2 flat breads. The baba ganoush was good, but the rest was not worth the price. Maybe my mistake was ordering through UberEats, but even so, too pricey.
Great food, friendly and accommodating staff, quaint atmosphere and you can watch the pita breads come right out of the oven. Definitely going to return
Wow wow wow. Absolutely the best freshly made pitas and Lebanese foods
I like the idea that the food I order is cooked individually as requested. Its always fresh. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.
Fantastic service and I have had some o the best coffee brew there with a slice of chocolate cake absolutely heaven and I will be returning soon.❤
Amazingly fresh baked breads, what a treat for the taste buds! Definitely a go-to place!
Warm friendly staff...lovely vibe..delicious food
First time visiting for breakfast and we have really enjoyed it.Lovely options on the menu.
We just loved the whole experience of eating Lebanese bread filled with Halloumi cheese, the other one had Spinach and Feta, the pizza looking one is an Egg and Cheese and all three was divine, the owner is very humble and friendly doesnt mind telling your stories of the pics displayed in the Bakery its all of where your comes from Beirut, I asked him to make me a authentic Lebanese drink and he brought me a drinking youghurt on the menu called Leban its very refreshing, I could taste mint and maybe coriander, will definately visit again and try there lunch menu with another Laban was delicious
Enjoyed the food. Gets a but too busy at times. Will be back
I just wanted to say that I ordered 100 pita breads from the Lebanese Bakery, and I simply have to compliment this business for their extraordinary customer service. Upon placing my order, they called to find out when exactly I needed these pitas, when I told them I only needed them on Saturday, they had freshly baked all 100 of them on the day for me. Where do you get service like this? The quality was exceptional and my guests complimented on the quality and freshness of them, and a lot of word of mouth referrals to your wonderful establishment was given. See you all soon 🌷
This place transports me to the Middle East. If thats ur style youll enjoy the atmosphere the chat with Khalid and the aroma of baking breads. Tasty food. Made with care and needs to be appreciated.
Khalid is an absolutely incredible host. This is hands down the best establishment in Cape Town for an authentic Lebenese experience.Everything is freshly made from scratch, with some imported extras on sale too.Well done team, keep up the excellent work and fantastic service.
Highly recommended! I never thought I would have proper manakish (flat bread served traditionally with thyme, cheese or meat) anywhere outside the middle east! The place is small and cozy and the smell of freshly baked bread and kaak will definitely lure you in. They also serve homus (chick pea dip) and mutabal (smoked aubergine dip) in addition to a selection of teas and coffee. The owners are very friendly and attentative, and all products served are halal.
Everything seems to come with pita bread - so OD on carbs.
The handbag bread was amazing as were the mohammara and hummus
Food was very good. The amount of people coming into the shop is testament to the quality and flavour of the food. I recommend it unreservedly.
Friendly service, reasonable prices, best Falafel in Cape Town. Pita breads from here are really good too.The unassuming little sit-down eatery has a really nice menu and simple charm.
Lovely place, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. A bit pricey but its a unique place and authentic cuisine.
Incredible food. Friendly staff. Hard to beat!
Absolutely delicious food. Have been a few times and they never disappoint
You can get an amazing cup of africano coffee for R11 before 10am
Best mezze in Cape Town! Its crazy good. Pitas are fresh and hot, made right infront of you. Really well priced too
The food is delicious. Mediterranean tastes.
One of our favourite places to have falafel, especially with their Tuesday special. Also reminds us of one of our favourite Lebanese places to eat while living in Saudi Arabia.
The most delicious pita bread in Cape Town
Great little spot for tasty, freshly made Lebanese cafe food served by friendly staff. All the usual Mediterranean delights Sit down or takeaway. Enjoyed a delicious falafel sandwich served with pickles and labneh on the side. The location is a bit disappointing
Good food, good vibe. Prices are reasonable.
Great food. Turkish coffee not for me.
Best Pita pockets in Cape Town hardly any gluten so could enjoy. All their sauces are superb as well
A delicious find!!!!!! Get there early for freshly baked breads and such. Droolicious Mediterranean delicacies. Their falafel pitas are to die for. They also sell dough if you want to do your own baking. Friendly service also!
What excellent food.
Awesome food and a great vibe. The only hassle is parking but worth the effort to park down the road, up a side street, and walk. JOGHURT WITH MINT! Yummy
My best thing to do is get piping hot pitas, falafel, butternut dip, harissa and toumeya and drive to my favourite park, to sit under a tree and relish it all! I also love the chilli dipping breads which make for a great snack. A charming little piece of Lebanon right in Claremont! The flavours are mind blowing and I can’t stop returning for more!
Really good authentic and fresh eastern food. Tried the Muhammara, Baba Ganoush and Hummus with Kaak bread. Its a bit more expensive than youd expect but you can taste a clear difference between this and store bought or even local hummus. Staff were really keen to explain their products, and make recommendations. Definitely going back for their meat and falafel options. Also, their pomegranates are really cheap.
Such a great vibe combined with delicious fresh food and great service.
Absolutely fantastic Bakery, definitely worth the stop, en route home or to friends for a treat
Service was excellent, shop was clean and felt authentic
We bought a number of vegetarian mezzes, all very authentic tasting, so I guess one pays for that. Pita bread was warm out of the oven. Service friendly and patient.
Absolute feast! Quirky, Kind and well CuratedWould go back another 100 times x
Just had your falafel sandwich for lunch. What a treat! thank you. Its the best I have ever had in CT.
I have only purchased food to go, but what a gem! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, will definitely be back soon.
Very tasty food, friendly staff. Will definitely be back to sit down and try one of their meals. But the falafels I bought for takeaway were very tasty.
Lovely friendly service. Patron for Life. Tried the Shakshuka - five starts.
Delicious dips and breads for our picnic at Kirstenbosch.
Visit this place maybe 2 a week. They have Lebanese based food and their coffe is great. The staff is very friendly and the run a special, half price on coffee monday-friday 8am-10am. Makes the vists amazing.
Yummy food and good service.
The most delicious range of foods and by far the best falafel Ive eaten.
