My vehicle has been back twice now. A problem was picked up the morning after the service. It was misfiring and lost engine power. I took it back and it was suggested that it could be the spark plugs. I wanted 2nd opinion. I took the car to DEKRA-- Who also suggested that it might be the spark plugs. I took the vehicle back to Rival Motors who kept it overnight and changed the plugs. I was then shouted at telephonically and told I was slandering their good name. And that they would not be sending a driver to pick me up--even though this was said to me the afternoon before I left the car there. I was threatened by attorney action if I did not remove the slanderous lie on my review. I arranged transport and fetched my vehicle. I also said that if they did not release my vehicle I would lay charges.Unfortunately, a bad experience for me.

Ryan leads a great team at Rival motors with experience and courtesy and he and Claire re such a pleasure to deal with..real professionals where nothing is too much trouble..i had a complicated issue which was fixed at the best price so I can keep my car! They shop around, communicate and most importantly diagnose the issue correctly! 100% recommended any time. Youre really in safe hands.

I just want to thank Ryan and the Rival Motors team, for a awesome job done on my VW Polo. Rival motors ran a diagnostic on my vehicle and obviously found the problem. It was not a easy part to get a hold of as there was a shortage of this part in SA.However Ryan and Claire did not only manage to find the part, but also managed to get me one for almost half the price! There are not many honest professionals out there to try and save their clients money.A big shout out to all of you at Rival motors! I was quoted cheaper to fix my brakes from other garages but I felt a sense of honesty from the team. They did not try to up sell me into replacing the whole car, like some other places and delivered on time with exactly what was asked. Id be surprised if anyone feels differently. Ryan is as good as his word and honest. He reduced original quote because he did not use parts he originally thought necessary. Not many places would do that. Job well done.

Shocking experience. My steering was damaged during a service which they denied doing. They then had the cheek to charge me to fix their mistake. Due to my unpleasant experience I would not recommend supporting this business in the future.

What a nightmare. Took my car to them for a small repair, what they did... Who knows! Ive gone to the motor ombudsman as my car is totally destroyed and undrivable after giving them numerous chances to fix it. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Awful experience, took polo player in for service, after which power steering no longer worked, they refused to fix it and advised it was not caused by them , even though it was perfect before service . Wouldnt recommend to anyone.
