Took my baby rabbit and had a very good experience. Quinton was very professional and sensitive. Their service is excellent, I would recommend them to any animal lover.

I had my second cat sterilized at the PDSA today. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. They were very professional and offer very helpful explanations. I have taken all 3 of my fur-babies here and I am very happy with the service provided. I initially was not in a good space financially, and they were understanding and helped me arrange payment. I fully understand and acknowledge that adopting a pet is not easy. Please remember that when adopting pets, we do need to be able to provide them with food, water, attention, love and care, AND financially (for medical costs etc). Please consider this before adopting pets as going into the process of becoming a pet owner should not begin with the expectation for others to provide for them. Please please consider this as animals really do deserve to have these needs met. I say this with love.

I went to get my dog vaccinated and chipped. Amazing service. Staff was passionate about helping animals and assertive about not encouraging breeding. Very low cost as well.

Had to have one of my rescue dogs put down, the staff were very understanding and sympathetic. Very professional but understanding as well. Sad but humbling experience.

Have seen the same problem as a few experiences Ive read. I went yesterday to get my cat vaccinated and was told that it would be R900 in total. Ive seen some complains of R800.No one in the family is employed full-time at the moment and they payer is a pensioner. Upon arrival we were told to pay for the forced neuter for my cat upfront. Neutering was a plan but being forced I know will upset some people. My family member later called and was told it would cost R500 in total (neuter and vaccination).The payer called later and we were told Why do you have a cat if you cant afford these procedures. You should give your cat to usI left and went right to the SPCA and was helped at a reasonable price.

The vets and staff here work unbelievably hard and still manage to be friendly and helpful. My foster kitty was sick and spent 2 nights in ICU. Everyone is professional and caring, I couldn’t think of a better place to bring my sick babies 🤍

The staff are absolutely amazing. They are patient, kind and very helpful in answering any questions you might have, along with providing the appropriate reassurance you need regarding certain concerns. It was my first time at the clinic, and it was a really pleasant experience. My puppy had her first vaccination, and the veterinarian that did it was really gentle with her and he was patient. They are really concerned with the health and well-being of your pet, and go above and beyond to keep you informed on how to best look after your pet. Along with this, they have a strict structure in place, which makes for a workable, fair system on who gets treated first. They deal with complaints adequately and professionally. 10/10 would recommend 😊

I took my doggies to get their teeth cleaned. The staff was very patient with them and did a great job. They even clipped their nails! Ill definitely recommend!

I had a very good service. I found the assistants very helpful, knew their facts. The vet Nicola Nieuwenhuis was very patient and thorough. This was on 5 july.I returned 28 July. The guy helping public in waiting room with green waistcoat wore his mask beneath his nose. I asked him to cover his nose. The mask kept on slipping and he was interacting mostly with staff and the public when he picked up dogs especially. I had just comebout of isolation and I was nervous being there.

Your staff needs to me more cautious of animals around when when coming in and out of consultation rooms. One of the staff that assisted me banged the door against my poor dogs face so hard. I was fuming coz I know she got hurt but I didnt want to say anything and make a fuss as I was already annoyed at time.

I always have the best experience here. They do far more than look after sick and injured animals, theyre help the owners as well, even through those difficult situations. Ive been going here for years and would never chose to go anywhere else. They have always given my animals the best attention and go out of their way for them. Thank you to everyone here for the exceptional work.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. Their service is quick and professional. House keeping is good, the place is kept neat and tidy. I was turned away on one visit because they were doing stock take and I was unaware of this. Their board outside the building states their trading hours but I wish that they could update their website with those exact hours and special events as they occur. It would save people a lot of time and travel if they knew ahead of time that they are closed for service before making the journey. They are the only PDSA in town and people come from all over Cape Town. If only they rendered a 24hr service but I guess funding isnt available for that.

We adopted two Kittens from PDSA. The service we received from Sr Kel and their handling of the matter was outstanding. We were met at the door and everything was completed in less than 10 minutes. The Kittens are wonderful and give us great pleasure.

Went there today to get my little pup butterball vaccinated. The people that worked there are very nice and helpful and the pricing is very reasonable. Worth taking a drive till there as they are much cheaper than the SPCA.They awesome with our fur baby. We are very happy to have them look after our baby.

Super friendly staff from the minute you enter the property. They are sympathetic snd treat you and your pet like royalty. They have a little second hand shop, I take me bric and brac there so that they can sell it to get extra funds.

The charity shop has good services. Otherwise, it is run more as a commercial business than essential service. They require payslips, proof of address and an ID to assist your sick furry companion.

My dog picked up a very bad bacteria at the PDSA which resulted into septicaemia blood poisoning , he ended up in their hospital ICU for 2 weeks. I was very stressed , however the Doctors that took care of my dog did with the greatest care and compassion especially Dr Nicole and Van Wyk . I would however recommend that they take far better care when it comes to sterilization especially when operations are performed. LUCKILY my dogs health improved he is not fully back to his normal self but getting there.

I was referred to the PDSA in Bridgetown by the Grassy Park SPCA for German Shepherds Dental surgery. It was a bit far me to get there but once I got there it was a complete contrast in what I have received at the SPCA.They really do care for your animal and even the pets owners concerns (something the SPCA lacks) They were professional about booking my dogs dental surgery and advise kidney and liver test because of her old age. They showed me the dental operation booking on the computer so that I dont have a hassle about booking problems which I usually do have at the SPCA.I even got to speak to a vet which isnt normal at the SPCA you usually only see the nurses.On the day of the surgery they called me immediately after the surgery to tell my dog has just woken up and she did great and informed me about what dental work they had done.I picked up my dog the next day, they gave me medication for her and advise to monitor her eating habits.I noticed they even trimmed my dogs nails which I have huge struggle with at home.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

This is a terrible place a lot of my pets went in but never came out. There working area is dirty and nothing is sanitized... Your dog will develop a sickness and theyll put them down.

Everyone was so kind and compassionate, as we had to euthanize our little dog, who was 16½ years old, and had lost quality of life... Highly recommended! Thank you, again, to the staff who assisted us. 🤗🙏

Was not helpful at all Drive all the way for a vaccination on my cat 🙀 and to book him for sterilizing the woman on the phone did not tell me I must pay the sterile fees up front as well as the vaccination fees A lady sitting there could not believe they would not even help me

What an amazing, caring, special place the PDSA is. I had to have our elderly cat put to sleep, not a pleasant experience, but the staff was wonderful. Gave me time alone with her, explained everything to me with great empathy and sensitivity. They are very friendly and treat your animal as if it was their own. Same like at the Leteguer branch, the wait is a bit long, but that is understandable.

I personally am quite impressed with the service provided thus far by the vets tending to our 7 month old puppy, Thor.He was diagnosed with Parvo on Wednesday28 October 2020, and the treatment plan they started him on was quite aggressive, but it definitely seems to help. He still goes on every morning for his drip and injections, but we are more at ease and peace knowing that he is getting good, quality care.The costs involved are surprisingly low and that is very welcome at this stage since we as a family are still busy recovering from the adverse economic effects wrought on us by the Covid-19 pandemic.Another absolute bonus is the immaculately clean facility they have. Thats definitively the cherry on the cake.Well done to the staff and management for providing such an excellent essential service.

I took my dog to get its last vaccination round about the 30th Dec and by the 3rd Jan it had died of parvo that same day every other dog there all had park they picked up the virus there cause all of us were theredays before I really dont understand how they insist that you take the dog home knowing that this is deadly to dogs to return everyday for 5 days I pleaded for them to keep my dog because they are the experts. The vet tell you the dog is not doing well and what do they do send it home it just doesnt make sense they insist on keeping healthy puppy to sterilize them but when an animal is really in need of there care just send it home can anybody help me make sense of that

What kind vets who helped me deal with the trauma of euthanising a beloved pet...

Yesterday my dog got 5 injections after he was told he should come in everyday for the next 4 days for one injection each day. Felt weak and today we were told he wont make it. They knew he wasnt well but did nothing
