………………….We have used this airlines company on many occasions in the past. Our flight bookings was real-lii with LATAM airlines a company that we are unfamiliar with but we wanted to try them anyway and so we learnt that they are partnered with SAA to handle their South African operations. This flight from Cape Town (C.T. Int.) to Johannesburg (OR Tambo Int.) is the first of three stages the next been from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo (GRU Int.) And the last leg Sao Paulo to Santiago de Chile (SCL Int.) We have on most occasions found that the SAA Online Apps work well and is user friend-lii so we had no problems doing all our bookings online and when you have completed they acknowledge and send you your boarding-pass via email which you can then save on your cell-phone! ‘A’ for away! Been an earl-ii flight we got to the airport at 05:00 and found the SAA booking counters open with bright-eyed and bush-ii tailed staff and very friend-lii, the lady booked our bags in and sent them direct-lii to SCL Int. Chile. The flight to Johannesburg was on time and the cabin-crew on duty was just as friend-lii and on point serving our breakfast which was scrambled-eggs, roasted chicken with veg, yogurt, cup of good coffee and with a smile sending us on our trip relaxed and prepared for the long journey ahead! The meals were fresh and delicious! The plane was an Airbus 320-200 clean and there was enough leg-room for us to be comfortable………On our return journey from Johannesburg to Cape town the plane used to fly us back was an Airbus 330-200 and they served a decent lunch which was a nice hot spice-ii beef curry and a salad, grape-juice and a glass of red-wine, excellent food served!……..SAA have earned the distinction of been a class-ii service provider in the airline business for many years! High-lii recommend them……….
Ordinarily it’s not worth a mention but under the current climate it should be posted. The Business class cabin, crew and hospitality was very good. Although a debate over the efficacy of the brand - in a recent trip within SA, they were very accommodating and more then pleasant. Good space, food menu (even unique orders) and wonderful crew. The experience with them was great and would recommend the travel to those, whom Business class is an important aspect.
Smooth flight, great meal, awesome service.
South Africa is a great country, but its national company should be more integrated. If you telephone you get one information, com,Evelyn different from the main office and the airport version will always be the worst.Wake up guys! All the info should be in the computers but it must be researched and without integration of the several parts, it does look like SAA is a bunch of people each one working in a different place.Even their offices abroad are very peculiar and in São Paulo Guarulhos, Brazil, you will find the worst staff in the whole world.
Was charged twice for my flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit and have been trying for two weeks to reach ANYONE with SAA customer service. I havent been able to a real person once, and have waited as long as an hour on hold. Ive also tried emailing 5 different email addresses found on their website. Also tried addressing the problem at the ticketing office at the Cape Town airport. Avoid South African Airways at all costs.
Very rude person at this office! was spoken down to like an idiot and had the phone slammed in my ear after our call was over.
I own a tour Operator Inbound in Cape Town and the staff f SAA in town help me in amazing ways to sort the problem with my passengersalways grateful
Very rude customer service provider no wonder you had to be bailed out by the government you dont know how to treat customers with respect. p.s; R30 billion bailout was wastage of taxpayers money.
Very helpful and competent consultants (Patricia)
