A Lovely family outing especially for the kids. They had great fun feeding the animals, climbing on the jungle gyms and going through the Scratch Patch. The tour was lovely and we all got to climb on an ostrich. We spent a good part of the day there.

It is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places for children and adults alike, the staff are so helpful and friendly, I love visiting the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch,we had my granddaughters 11th birthday there,lovely experience, educational ostrich tour, Scratch patch, walk to the dam, feed the animals,out in the open fresh air

The food was top notch. I had the ostrich fillet salad. It is great for a day out with kids. There is ample space for running and playing and kids can interact with the ostriches, sheep and goats.

Fun seeing the ostriches and other farm animals. Good for kids.

What an amazing day out for kids a day parents alike. Shepherd was our friendly and knowledgeable guide and we learnt so much and my daughter got to run around and touch animals and play in the park and shaded sandpit. We also got to sit on an ostrich!#bucketlist. She had a ball and worked up an appetite to a most delicious, reasonably priced lunch by friendly waitrons scratch patch fun. All round a 10 out of 10 experience its even more rewarding supporting our locals while lock downs are happening. You should visit for an all day fun, family experience!

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The curio shop is so beautifully laid out. Staff member was excellent and super friendly. Weather was not so kind but wow we had an awesome time and highly recommend any one to go. The best ostrich farm we have seen in South Africa and right here on our door step. Thank you staff fir making it a memorable day.

Quite a find as it defied my expectations. Lovely old manor house tucked away behind the trees. The Ostrich burger was really good and pretty affordable. (Only went for lunch and not the tour)

The Ostrich Ranch is a great place to visit and also for breakfast or lunch. While exploring the area, we’ve learned a lot about Ostrich’s and other animals and the variety of the souvenirs are great too.

It’s day lunch place nice and clean. It’s family gathering and really good food. They have around six tasty ostrich main dish. Clean range and some animals around. Not much to do but as I mention it’s gathering for lunch .check the timing or better to book if you have big number of family members.

Even as a vegetarian and with no vegetarian meals on offer on the shortened Covid menu, the chef surprised us with what he called a veggies special and it was out of this world to say the least. The service was very friendly and super efficient.I would reccomend the experience to anyone.

Its a nice quiet place the coffee was great... However, maybe a bit more anamials are required...the staff are really nice and friendly ...The stars are mainly for the staff...

About 8 smaller camps with ostriches. One crocodile and a bigger camp with goats and chickens. Curio shop, tuck shop and a sit-down restaurant. Staff are very friendly. Enjoyed sitting on the ostrich, kids enjoyed feeding the animals.

What can I say? Just a very nice place with beautiful scenery. Food was good. We had ostrich and it wasnt bad. Just dont like eating something with the pictures of the animal all around you.

Had a lovely day at the Ostrich Farm a great space for the whole family. The have 2 cheetahs and some goats for the kids too look at and take pics, with tours of the farm available. A great open space with a good menu for young and old you can even try some ostrich.

We had our sons birthday party there. When setting up the tables the morning under the trees, we found that there were these small bugs that just covered the tables and ourselves. It wouldve been nice to know before hand so we could bring things along to cover the food. They bugs did disappear as it got warmer. We had good service from the waiters and the kids had a great time with the tour. Food was excellent.

Lovely place. Free entry. Not just ostriches- they have geese, goats and cheetahs. You have to pay for a tour, but it is well worth it and very interesting. I learnt so much. Lovely picnic areas too.

It is wonderful, clean with facilities, I expected it to be smelly but actually was so clean , you can feed the ostrich , the burger was so woooooow absolutely recommended .Omar was our great guide and made us feel comfortable.

Peaceful and cool tour of an ostrich farm 20 mins outside of cape town. Buy ostrich feed for less than a dollar and have fun feeding them, your kids can feed them safely too. Theres an excellent restaurant and an exquisite shop.

It was an exciting experience. Had an opportunity to interact with the ostrich.

We had a blast here. Its a great environment with fantastic service and guides. Its well worth the price of admission. You get to feed, pet and even sit on an Ostrich. The animals are well cared for and the museum is very informative. There is also a gift shop and a cafe (that serves Ostrich meat).They also have 2 cheetahs that have been rescued and they are associated with a great non profit that protects them.

Ostrich ranch near Cape Town. The drive from Cape Town to the ostrich ranch is very beautiful. You will get to see many ostrich of different age group in the ranch. You can feed them, click pictures with them, see the ostrich eggs hatching process, take pictures sitting on them and you can even try ostrich meat at the farm. They have got the knowledgable guides to guide you throughout the tour. They have even got two chitah at the ranch.

The venue is absolutely breathtaking, the food is amazing, the activities are incredible and the hearts of the owners and staff are made out of gold! Hospitality to their best! Supporting local and their community to their best! Please support them in return! They absolutely deserve it!

A nice family outing with a large green lawn for the kids and stunning farmland and hills scenery. There are some swings, a large sandpit and a jungle gym. The actual ostrich tour is nice for the kids, but not something to do more than once. Just dont go for the food, its substandard at best.

Had a stunning day at the Ostrich farm on Sunday 2nd May. They had a market day there with live music. The restaurant, bar and curio shop was very nice as was the other amenities. Will definitely be bringing my family here again for a days outing.

Great place, theres many ostriches, amazing food, i tried ostrich meat which was full of flavor and mouth watering, we had small talk with the chef and he was very friendly ..I really enjoyed my time there. Beautiful views and very relaxing spot.

Loved it. Calm and serene atmosphere. Chicken salad was lovely and quite a lot. They didnt have any avo though. But the ostrich burger was also divine.

Want to feel like you are visiting a friend who owns an Ostrich farm, then this is the place for you... So personal, brilliant up close views all sitting under the best views of Table Mountain; which it is not far out of town...One minute you can be having breakfast and a morning swim at Sun Set Beach and then be siting down for lunch at Cape Town, Ostrich farm...We visit for my sons birthday part, the kids loved it; it is a dream place for kids and families alike...Dont take my advice, visit this amazing ranch and experience South Africas Ostriches face to face...I recommend laying under the tree where they place giant pillows, I drank ice water and lemon and closed my eyes... Yeah I did that!!! Your turn...

It was my first time visiting an ostrich farm. Amazing! There were abundance of ostrich in this farm and they were roaming around freely. We were allowed to feed the ostrich but they do bite. We were also allowed to ride and take picture with them. Other than ostrich, they also have Emu, cheetah etc.

This is an ostrich farm. They have many ostriches and wild cheetahs. They breeding ostriches from eggs to adults. Then they sell ostrich meats, feathers, ostrich skin handbag, etc.

Very relaxing spot! Lots of greenery and great place to take pictures if you are into photography.

Was pretty cool. Enjoyed the tour. It was short, but allowed for enough interaction with the birds. Got to feed a few ostriches and pet a baby one. Restaurant section is free to enter, and meals are reasonably priced. The menu caters for people that arent interested in ostrich too (although, Id highly suggest trying the ostrich salad at least). Its worth the trip if you want to try something delicious and different.

A stunning location with great views of rolling countryside and table mountain in the distance. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. An interesting selection of ostriches and other animals. Overall a fun experience - would recommend. Also you can sit on an ostrich when stationary but cannot ride around.

It was a very informative and interactive experience. Very enjoyable.

The service at their restaurant is virtually non existent. 30min to have a drink order taken, another 20min to have a food order taken and I had to open my own beer. Prices are quite reasonable and the atmosphere is very pleasant. If only they could jack up their service.

Here you can eat Ostrich meat after a nice tour of meeting the Ostriches. You get to feed them, sometimes they can pinch your skin but you can minimise this by putting your hand out flat. You can also sit on one at the end. Nice open space, small restaurant and a great experience if you have a couple of hours free.

Free entry is as good as not going as the main attraction to this place will be the ostriches that is not visible without paying for the tour, which for me was a bit on the expensive side as for the same price i can enter the zoo in PTA or JHB and see more than the two cheetahs, two small goats the goose and ostriches. The tour is not bad as you get to feed the ostriches and sit on their back but not worth paying the price. Unfortunately we did not have time to spend at their restaurant so i can not comment on that. Their children playpark is nothing to write home about but atleast they cater for children.

Nice venue, pleasant people and reasonable food

My family and I have been enjoy visiting the farm every now and then for years, even had children birthday parties there until yesterday. It was my daughter’s birthday and we decided to go there for drinks, 😱 the staff at the restaurant were very unfriendly and seemed like they were not willing to help from arrival until we left it was a horrible experience. We had to dig for service and when it came, the coffee and milk milk were cold, no glasses for drinks were expected to drink out of cans, bill came without asking if we needed anything else we were left there to gulp the drinks and go😳 even my children commented on the lack of quality of the service there! Another annoying thing is the flies & bees galore! They zooooooom around as you sit. The staff is definitely not happy and that shows on the way they treat the customers. IF I go there again, it will not be anytime soon. Have to sit and lick my wounds!Awful experience!

What a beautiful place for locals and international travelers. The view of Table Mountain is spectacular and the vibe at The Ostrich farm is outstanding.

One of the best place for both adults and kids entertainment. My two boys have learnt a lot about ostriches and cant wait to go again. The ostrich steak burger was very nice and one thing good about this place is that its not fat from Cape Town. So one can go there for lunch and have supper somewhere else unless if the kids are enjoying to run around on the farm

You go on a guided tour and get to be enlightened about the place. There are two types of ostriches here, Kenyan and south african. Sit under the shaded canopy of trees and enjoy a light meal. Visit the gift stores and take back gemstone momentos of your visit or even handpainted ostrich eggs. Watch the very talented ladies painting these eggs. You get to feed and sit on the ostrich. There are two cheetahs here plus 2 crocodiles. Meet Tom Thumb the smallest adult ostrich. He features in theThe Guinness book of records. Good clean toilet facilities. Good parking. Fantastic place to visit.
