I would like to thank Sunshine Hospital for all they have done. I was in an accident 2 months ago and they have been amazing. I am sure I was a difficult patient, always asking when I can go home. But almost everyone was understanding and friendly. I was only on a soft diet but the food was very good as well.

Today 2021-07-02 is my daughters birthday and all thanks to the Sunshine hospital team who made it possible for us as a family to celebrate this day with our Angel

The treatment I received from the first day I got here was a wow factor. The nurses n the doctors are very friendly n polite.There’s a one specific nurse that I’d like to mention her name is Miss maNgcobo she welcomed me with such warmth hands n made me feel at home she was so friendly with everyone in the ward n made sure of it. Thank you so much once again maNgcobo you’ve made my stay so pleasant even though I was not feeling well you the best ❤️❤️❤️

I am so disappointed in Sunshine Hospital as much as we thought it was a very upstanding hospital with good ethics. I do not believe that anymore.My brother has been hospitalise for two weeks now, and he was doing fine even after hes head and eye operation. But suddenly after placing pipes in him hes not waking up anymore nor moving any parts of hes body. And as a concerned parent my mom needed answers but no one could tell her anything. The doctor who has last operated on him was called to come in and talk to my mom but he chose not to. He is hiding and cant talk to my mom to give her answers. No one knows anything suddenly, but from a relevant source at the hospital,we know now that its due to the operation that was last performed that has placed damaged to my brother. Bear in mind an operation that was not suppose to have been performed in the first place. The source also says that the doctor and hospital is running around scared to give us answers as they know they in the wrong. I would not advise anyone to take your loved one there as you this hospital is in no state to help them or even find common ground to speak with the family in person..Concerned Sister!

In 2016 my husband had a very serious car accident. He got treated at different hispitals accross the East Rand. He broke his lower right leg, just above the ankle in 27 different places. He had about 20+ surgeries just rebuild his leg. He got treatment at Clinton Hospital in Alberton where the doctor wanted to amputate his leg just under his knee. I refuse. After 2 years the dr stopped seeing him as RAF didnt pay anymore. He was fir 18 months without treatment where i just washed his leg and change dressings. We had to apply for a reopening at RAF. We were then told about Sunshine Hospital where we got to meat Dr Khumalo. He operated and removed the steel plates in his leg. Then we met Sis Alette and Ivor. They infection controlled specialist. They put a suction machine on his leg, and the past 3 to 4 months i saw more improvement in his leg that i saw in 2 years at Clinton. His leg is closing now and you cant even see the bone (wish i can posts photos)A very big thank you goes out to Vusi at reception that always greats him very politely.Dr Khumalo for doing what other couldnt do.Sister Alette for always changing dressings.Ivor for helping at a moments notice and for always making time to see us twice a week and giving the things that i need at home to keep his wound clean and dry. Thank you for the small talks that we can have when you busy cleaning my wound.Thank you that every one at Sunshine hospital treats me as a human and not just another human beeing.I will forever be great full for all yoy did for me.I wish i can give yoy more tham a 5 star rating.I would gladly recommend Sunshine hospital to anyone that is in need if professional help and a very clean hospital aIvor, see yoy soon.

Such a wonderful hospital filled with so much hospitality from the nurses and doctors , of which my inspiration is Dr Mukenge , the orthopaedic surgeon is so caring .Overall everything is good , the food , care and the staff

This morning was my first time at Sunshine hospital, my son was sick 3 times in a month last night suffering with a fever of 38.7 and this morning as well. taking him to the hospital the receptionist lady not sure of her name but she had a gold tooth. kept telling me that I am traumatizing my child by bringing him to the hospital, I was there for about 15 minutes and I promise you she told me this over 10 times, ending with she would never do that to her kids, I never asked for the womans opinion Im just a concerned mother wanting my childs chest to be x rayed because of his cough that just wont go away. she kept telling me to go to another doctor, then telling me to go home because its the change of season. I was really so upset by this, please stick to your day job, I didnt ask for your 2 cents I just wanted a doctor to have a look at him. and when the nurse gave the go ahead to open the file even that was a problem she went on AGAIN about me traumatizing my child and when I handed her the medical certificate she said she cant accept it, cards only and why dont I have the card as yet. Ive been to so many hospitals using a medical cert from Discovery with no issues. why was it an issue? Ive asked her she says they dont work that way. I will never recomend this hospital to anyone and neither will I ever go there again.
