Typical Builders/Mass stores:- disinterested floor staff that feel they are doing the customer a favour. Cashiers are friendly and efficient

In store staff very helpful. Outside, parking bays designated for the disabled, was an LPG truck, offloading gas bottles. Totally inconsiderate of needs of disabled/ wheelchair bound customers. Re paint deliveries over the disabled sign, n stop bul....ing the public. also

A good hardware shop that is within a community, with not only an impressive in store range, but with the wider facility of being able to order online from the major site and then pick up.

Twice I went there and twice I walked out empty-handed. I found their selection pretty limited and ill-chosen. I say that because I found the product I was looking for, a 5m HDMI cable at PicknPay. On the other occasion I was looking for a electrical extension cord and found their selection pretty limited - again I had to go to another store to find what I was looking for. Management of a scaled down version of a large store is much more challenging - the manager has to determine the product line width and stock levels to try and keep as many customers as possible happy - a happy customer will return. Too often one sees an oversupply of one particular product at the expense of alternative products. This is what requires analysis and implementation. In my case I was disappointed not once but twice, and as the saying goes: Once bitten, twice shy...

Great place for all those things you need around the home. The only issue is that it’s not a full Builders Warehouse and so they don’t always have the full range of stock and I have to go to Boksburg for some things.

Convenient hardware store - as the name says it is an express small store but carries a great range and selection. Staff are friendly and willing to assist.

Not good....system show 4 in stock of Garden Master lady fork at R160.I phoned 1st but nobody pick up,then drove almost 20km and no stockVERY DISSAPOINTED.

Incompetent, lazy staff (When you can locate them) who have no knowledge of the products in their own departments. Staff duck and dive any real work and pass the buck at every opportunity. The shelves are as empty as the heads of some of the staff members. I will not use this store again. P.s The demise of the Builders group is extremely sad. Thank goodness we still have other options.

Was a little disappointed at the low amount of stock of multi plug adapters

Builders staff have a reputation for doing as little as possible, this branch is absolutely no exception.The information clerk staff are always playing on their cell phones, the shelves are half packed, nobody is will willing assist you.Management arent present and certainly dont manage anything.

Its my go to place if I need anything for my house. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are super helpful and friendly.

Absolutely useless. Took 40 minutes to purchase a drilling machine. Took 30 minutes just to find staff member to assist. Whilst we were in shop we phoned the branch and watched them ignore phone call absolutely pathetic

Hi thereHate to complain, but got there and it took three people to call other people to help us. When we chose the lighting fixture we liked which was hanging on the display, the salesman said it was out of stock...then why have it on display, he said it had been out of stock for months. Then we chose another one and he said there might be one in the back because there wasnt one on the shelf, after waiting a long while nobody came back....so we just left. We then went to the one in Boksburg and they were also out of stock but managed to locate one in another shop which I will only be able to get on Saturday. Hope its there when we get there...

Stock of basic items very poor.

Got a trolley full of plants and when i got to pay the one specific plant had no label or price , no assistance in the garden section, the cashier called for assistance, no manager to help waited 10min for a price , not very happy ..

The store is well laid out. The garden section is lovely and the plants are beautiful and were damp not dry like the plants at the Woodlands Builders Warehouse their plants are always dry. Loved the Northmead store.

Hit and miss re helpfulness of staff. Had few experiences of advertised products not being in stock. Very frustrating.

Showed 1 off in stock on the website, but when I got there it was a damaged opened item left on the shalve. Had to go all the way to Boksburg Builders where they could assist

This place is the best, for an express they always have what we need and the staff are knowledgeable on all products. As beginner DIYers they have steered us in the right direction everytime.

Absolute joke! Bought wood from builders, had it cut paid for it to be cut. I brought it back for a trim( all to happy to pay for it)It took them 48 min to tell me the would not cut it without a slip🤷‍♂️. Not only was I unable to spend my money there but I definitely wont be there soon, worst customer service .

Best Builders experience by far, shopped at Builders Woodlands, but this Builders is truly for me the best 👌

So glad that this little hardware store opened nearby me, but they don’t stock everything the larger Builders do; which is clear by the name.The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and it can really take two minutes to get in an out if you know what you want and your kids aren’t with you.At the exit is a popcorn machine which works on weekends, but having it at the exit is different to the Builders in Boksburg where they serve you at the entrance for free and this makes you feel relaxed and free to wonder the isles and really take you time in the store, perhaps to buy more than you first expected you would. So having this at the exit doesn’t seem to serve any purpose except to keep the floors clean from curious buyers reading labels and purchasing unnecessary goods.I might be wrong - perhaps it has changed now to serving free popcorn at the entrance - I sincerely hope so because that’s the smartest place to do this.

Had a good start and now they are just as bad as all the other Builders outlets. 3 staff members walked pass the electrical section where I was waiting for someone to cut a piece of electrical wire. All 3 acknowledged I was waiting and they all just said WE DONT WORK IN THIS SECTION!Well you can fire the lot cause clearly they dont want to work! You wont see me again!
