I always get everything I need. The staff members are friendly and give excellent service with big smiles on their faces. The shop is extremely clean and welcoming.

It is good and lean, but not comfortable with the crowd hanging by the door outside and by the gate sometimes. I wish management can look into this. I almost got robbed there. Its not safe.

Very very frendly staff cz i am not from SA but that does not make me think that i am better no cz my late hubby he was fro SA ok please my friend do not ever close the Shoprite cz i live by the Alberton Ritemenr Village as i did say the staff are very friendly cz i am a people person

Dodgy people hang around there, there needs to be more security. One time someone wanted to scam a friend of mine out of her phone, some other time a guy wanted to scam me and take my car.

The place is just the right size. Has a lot of variety and very good prices. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. It is not over crowded and the uphold covid rules and standard. They have quality goods. Next to the shoprite opened a new cell phone shop in place of the old standard bank. They fix mobile phones and sell assesories and electronics. They are planning on selling hubbly and flavours soon as well as new mobile devices. Also very helpful as well as inexpensive for quality brands.

I bought Similac baby formula only to find out it expired a month back, when I went to return it turns out all the formula on the shelves had expired....even thier milk at times its rotten yet sealed.

Does not deserve a star at all the stuff is rude and has absolutely no customer service i worked late one night and was at their doors 15min before they close and they chased me away when i asked for the manager they said she said they must close the doors I called and was left on hold for 25min if not more pathetic if you ask me...

Tonight we went to Shoprite Alberton North because we urgently needed an item or two for our 3 month old baby. It was just before 7pm that I checked their trading hours and saw that we were in luck as they are still trading until 8pm according to their Google Business Account. Well, we were stopped at the front doors at 7:15pm and told by one of their security guards that they are closed. There were no cashiers available. Really?! Guess what? We were not the only fools who rocked up hoping to find you open. There were several more! Please change/update your trading hours accordingly for your customers convenience. It will save us all the time and inconvenience of making unnecessary trips to your store.

It is about as good as you can expect from a Shoprite, however worth noting limited product selection, isle space is cramped and when I was there at least (on a weekend morning) there were very few cashiers. Shelves were being restocked across multiple isles with goods littering floor space adding even more flow constraints, and as with my experiences with retail stores in general, shop staff seems to have this sense that you are in their space and as such they maintain the right of way in all instances and that you as the customer, comes second and that it is okay to chat in the isles with no consideration to flow, walk across your path cutting you off, stop when and where they want to. I think the biggest thing to note, and this is something I have observed with every Shoprite I have ever been in is that it is in general a depressing space. It has a cluttered, well used slightly shoddy feel to it. I used to believe it was because the stores I have visited was old/have been there for a long time, but this is a brand new store. When the same space was used for a SPAR previous to the last set of owner/managers it was a relatively vibrant space, with enough isle clearance, a light roomy space and a decent product selection.

Its the newest one around, can do with a bit of a speed improvement when it comes to checking out, otherwise ShopRite as we know it
