Every single time I go to this Checkers I find expired items on the shelves. Last time I was there I found cheese that expired 3 months ago, when I showed the Manager he told me he had taken it off the shelves.... the staff must have put it back.... Uhhhhmmmm, I would believe that if it was 1 day past expiry, but 3 months! no way!

There is a checkers less than 2km from this one that is FAR better.It really doesnt matter what day I go to this checkers anymore... Somehow management at this checkers think its okay to only have 3 tills open during lunch time... and the queue is all the way back to the coffee isle... no wonder i would rather drive the extra 2km for the convenience of a fully staffed shop.

I bought a cooked chicken there this evening 13/4/2021. Absolutely disgusting so over cooked and dry I am sure its about 4 days old. Very disappointed Checkers and no one answers the phone. No checking or quality control.

Their chicken strips is full of salt and not good for human consumption. I like to buy their chicken strips but not good for my health. Managers must look into that and do something since it will affect people health for heart diseases

Store is not bad really just there is about 10 tills and there always like 6 of them with nobody there and the tills that have people are slow and the 10 times or less always had people with 30 items and nothing is done .. also the car guards are really bad they stand in the way when you try pull out and basically sit against your car waiting for you to give them money

Had a problem with parking.

Me and my wife, we frequent Checkers store on a regular basis, but I want to express my utter disappointment with the stock in the store, it is never readily available, as soon as you walk in the store still needs to be packed, I would assume a store of that nature should have every ready before opening of the doors in the morning. The cashiers and packers, they chat between themselves in a language that most customers cannot understand. if you ask for help then there is no-one around to assist, absolutely atrocious. The staff are not friendly at all. I have been shopping at Checkers for 18 years now, lately its getting worse by the day.I am starting to go to other stores in the area, like the Spar in Meyersdal, absolutely professional, managers are always willing to help you at a moments notice, store is packed and cleanliness is of utmost importance. It might be out of my way buy I would rather get a piece of sound mind than get agitated and annoyed. Pity though. I did complain before to the head Office and nothing gets done or improves at all.I will now only shop the utmost necessity, otherwise they have chased me away.

Prices on shelf are different from those when paying at the till.

Normally my favorite place to go but absolutely appauled at the service or lack there of I recieved.... Can u please update your time I assumed that since the time was changed on here that you actually close at 6 but I arrived at 5:35 and I got ignored and then stared at! ... No times on the wall outside the shop.... So disappointed in the service.... I was forced to go to pick n pay

Had a bad experience with their customer service. No urgency. For the first time coming to the store I felt like a long staying visitor. Made to wait at the till or paying point with no explanation given.

The worst service ever they are too busy having chats while people have to wait for them to pack your stuff. And when you complain about it that laugh amongst each other

Staff are unhelpful and unmanered isle are blocked and staff just standing around and in the way.cold meat section probably the worst.i certainly am rather going to traveling a little further to do my purchases

Love Checkers staff is always friendly. Store is very clean . Fresh fruit is not always fresh.

There is hardly any fruit and veg to choose from. The ice-cream fridge only has 1 type of ice-cream available. Whenever you try to do a cash at till transaction, they never have sufficient cash in the till and you have to wait 30+ minutes to get the cash. You cant use Samsung Pay to make payments. It beeps, when you hold it near the NFC terminal but nothing happens. Their POS terminals are faulty and have problems reading the chip on your card even though there is nothing wrong with it. The cashiers attempt to pack mugs into carrier bags without protecting them with newspaper. You have to specifically request them to pack the mugs properly to prevent them from getting broken. They also over pack your carry bags causing all of them to get broken. This Checkers would get a 1 star rating but fortunately they are 1% better than the one located at Dischem which is the worst Checkers on the planet.

Good produce to buy but the tills are not all open and you inevitably gets delayed waiting to pay

Great shop. No cell service inside. But great shop.

No stock of mustard seeds,nor curry leaves,scale cannot weigh two chillies,Chinese ( 90 %) Indian and Argentinian frozen seafood only, no South African origin frozen seafood. Left without buying anything,because the impenetrable scale could not be solved before my patience ran out.

We were hijacked in this shop. 9 Armed men came in carrying guns. Told everyone to lie down. They took our handbags, jewelery and money from the cashiers. Where were the security. Afterwards management did nothing to console the victims.

This is the Checkers just up our street. Follows the standard Checkers formulae: very competitive prices, in-house butchery & bakery, deli and fishery section etc. Features are: open until 8pm 7 days a week and the made-while-you-wait pancake kiosk.

Dreadful service, staffs attitudes stink. Managers not interested in resolving complaints. Main store manager spends more time standing outside Indian restaurant around the corner smoking than actually in his store.
