Great butchery and super friendly useful butchers behind the counter

Bought pork for a family spit braai. Was told they will make it up, but when we got there it was prepacked and frozen solid. We had time to defrost it but after we finished cooking the meat and started cutting it up we realize it was off and had a very bad smell. Worst of all we had already cut some of the other good meat up which was now lying in the juices and was also bad. They said we could bring it back before 5, but this is a fairwell and I didnt want to drive almost an hour to take it back. The spit was already ruined and it was to late anyway.

I love Meat World and the great service you always get!Although, I was bit disappointed with the biltong I got recently, there were small salami pieces in with it..

I must say this is a smaller MeatWorld I went to, not that much variety lots of out of stock, not sure if its because where the butcher is situated, a bit hidden. Not many people would know that it exists.

They did not complete our hamper. We packed it out at home, called them to confirm what should be in the hamper. They told us to please come and collect the chops tomorrow. When my husband got there they now all of a sudden did pack the chops. Drove all the way for nothing. Overall I love meatworld. But will always check my hamper before I leave their store

What a nice and neat butchery. The staff are very friendly and efficiant. The shelves are layed out very nice and packed very neat to make it a peaceful visit, and makes it very easy for the customer to chose what they want to purchase. It is a very quiet and a peaceful atmosphere. The butchers are always available for good advice if you are wondering what to buy. I visited them today and met one of the butchers Jan ou bok. What a pleasant discussion and good advice he gave me on meat and the preparing thereof. Thank you Jan. The only problem I have is their prices. The meat is very good quality but they are expensive. They do have good specials at times. A good shopping experiance. Enjoy your visit.

My mother and I got there 5 minutes before closing time, looking to buy half of a lamb. The butcher had already cleared up, but they were so kind and got us the lamb in fact we got a lamb for approximately R1200/R1300. Thank you soooooo much to the ladies who packed it all up for us and gent who cut it up nicely.
