Wow what an amazing experience. Friendly and helpful staff. What an experience interaction with the lion cub and the lemurs. Wow the Lemurs came and eat of your shoulder some cut fruit, that was awesome, and what big Lions and Tigers. Very clean venue. I would recommend it to all families. Thanks to everyone that made our day special. We loved it
The best sleep over ever with the best service imaginable. Will recommend Letaba River Lodge to anyone!Management handles any situation very professionally!High 5 to you guys!Regard van Wyk Family
Too exspensive because you pay 150 rand per person for a tour through the predator park with a guide, there were no guide with us.R250 per person for a interaction package ,there were almost no animals to interact with, some cages where empty and other cages were been worked in,maintenance guys.It was not like that before covid,we loved the place. It is really not worth goingthere now .There money per person is way to much for what you see and interact with.not for
A beautiful venue and an excellent learning experience for young and old. All staff were extremely friendly and our game drive ranger was super informative and my children learnt a lot. The restaurant is reasonably priced and I can highly recommend the beef and cheese burger. Will definitely make a plan to visit as often as possible.
We attended a wedding here and booked a room for the weekend. The rooms are confortable, clean and neat. The facilty is beautifull in general. We do have some suggestions though:To serve only Ricoffy in a venue like this is unforgiveable. I suggest you find a decent coffee supplier and serve filter coffee, especially with meals. The toaster used at breakfast is wholly insufficient.I would suggest you invest in a commercial toaster. At breakfast a chef preparing eggs to order, at the buffet, including fried, scrambled and even omletts is a huge benefit. The food for the evening meals were excellent.
Must visit for anyone. It is really a amazing place and these people really love their animals.Food is top quality.Staff is verry friendly and helpful.Would love to give them more than 5 stars
This was more than ever expected !!!!It is a must come back.Must mention Luke and Lindie by name. Did treated us as royalty !!! Lukes knowledge is to another level and Lindie is friendly, special and warm hearted. She loved spoiling us !!!!
Awesome experience to interact with the cubs. Staff at the restaurant and rangers all friendly. Bathrooms extremely clean and beautiful. Kiddies play area neat and safe. All areas well maintained
Beautiful place, very friendly staff, neat and clean rooms.Rooms were beautifully furnished, clean, air-conditioned, tea and coffee supplied.Awesome place . Always a pleasure to stop there
A amazing place, while you eat breakfast you hear the lions in the back round. Wow views, great staff and great place for a family break away.
Stayed a few days and the overall experience was AMAZING!!! The people were friendly, the animals were take care off so well. The food was great, the staff very professional. The rooms beautiful, the view to die for... a definitely MUST visit🤩🤩🦁
Loved it!Enjoyed my staywill be back soon
A welcoming environment, friendly staff and delicious food
Beautiful place and we enjoyed the wildlife
Tranquil place. Great for weddings and 21st parties
Bad. Cannot book for animal ride. On arrival were told have to pay double. This should have bedn told over the phone before driving there.
One of the best lodge
Affordable and all meals included with the activities eg. game drive, animal viewing
We just loved it. Everyone is very friendly and we enjoyed the chats. The food is 9/10. We will defenitely go again.
Loved it..nice game drive and the cats kingdom (lions, tigers, leopards and many other) it was refreshing to see
The experience was so good, fantastic.... It will be so nice to bring children.
Quick and excellent service, staff members are very kind and friendly, well taken care of wildlife and interaction facilities. Loved and enjoyed every moment of it.
Only visited animal sanctuaryLoved it
Really interesting tours, amazing milkshakes and pretty views. Would recommend for the experience
Not too impressed, waited at gate for 15 mins before someone opened. Went for a wedding, meals were mediocre, barmen had no clue what Jameson was, garden and pathways need attention. 3star venue
Friendly staff service is outstanding and animals are well taken care of
Very lovely place and the game drive was awesome...
Good for the kids and a lovely restaurant/ bar for adults
Great experience with lions and cubs
Very Good site to visit with amazing animals, just bad menu and the room are smart but customer service is bad
It was a nice quiete place having fun with the animals.
Love the place the tour of the animals was wonderfulBut the location on google is wrong so please correct it
This is a beautiful, affordable lodge, however the first room I was taken to had an electric problem, if you were barefoot washing your hand in the bathroom, it would electrocute you. I was moved as soon as I reported the issue, however it was something they were aware of which is concerning because they still booked it out. They need to close the room and any other room with that same issue until the electric problem has been fixed.
Very nice place. My sister hosted her wedding here. Love the surroundings and the animals. Waking up to hearing lions roar is the ultimate best
The restaurant service and the food 1 out of 5. Waiter and the guy at reception was very friendly but we waited 15 min before anyone helped us. The food was not fresh and the chips oily. The park itself was very cool and tidy, and i could see they look well after the animals in the park.
Great place to visit, clean and food is of high standard.
Liked it but got raw chicken with a milkshake but it was milky🥺
My brother had his wedding there on the deck of the water, was so beautiful, theres hippos in the water. Loved doing a tour of the animals there also. The tigers are my favorite. So gorgeous
Its a very nice place to be. The animals are great to see and take pics. They could improve on the TV and the channels they show. The remotes were not working properly. But overall it was nice staying therr
Letaba river lodge is a complete family retreat. Lions, tigers, and many many more. The food is amazing at a decent price. All and all worth while. There is a burger calles the monster burger. It is a must.
The guide was good. The animal variety is excellent! The flies were such a problem it lost them a star.Smear yourself with insect repellent, take a hat, and try to go during a cooler part of the day.
Perfect for holidaying
Excellent service👌👌 the food was breathtaking. I love their breakfast. great place for relaxation. the animals were a bonus. I visited this is 2019/01/19❤❤❤❤
Awesome place
What a lovely experience. More people should come and interact with animals, it helps grow intense love for wildlife and will help with reserving these beautiful creatures.
Excellent place to experience the African sunset with the roar of an african lions nearby. If you arent scare you can play along with them.
Very accommisating staff. Fabulous food! The animals are beautiful.
Great experience
Really well kept, animals seem happy and staff know their facts, I keep coming back
Tigers in cages (in africa) in a hot humid Tzaneen climate, perhaps some people will not notice the suffering of the animals but this was not for me at all! To my knowledge, which is limited, these animals needs vast open spaces not small enclosures. Also the close proximity in which the different species of big cats finds themselves must surely lead to a lot of stress for these animals.
Its one of the must-see places when you in tanzeen. The staff is very friendly and helpful there is also a lot of animals to see and just for a little bit extra money they also let you touch the animals and its quite the experience touching a lion. They also have a beautiful restaurant where you can have a nice meal and look over the river. Its also kid friendly and have a lot of small animals for the children to touch like baby lion cubs and baby red cats. A real beautiful place to go visit.
We did not get to see the lions we had driven so far for. The receptionists attitude was off-putting. The lodge looks well kept though.
Very nice place for families with kids. The zoo adheicent to the lodge is not a game park. However, interacting physically with the animals (at extra cost) is impressive.
Great place to visit, super friendly staff
This is what I have been looking for for a long time when I came to SA.I like the tour Guards, they are very interactive and help you get more related to the animals. The names of the Lion etc. the lodge is a comfortable. It is not funky in the rooms but its okay. we went for the Lions and the other predators. I was also excited that they actual invite Students in for educational tour. I met with a batch of student on my second visit and I was impressed. The peacock around the surrounding makes it more lively. The interaction session with lions is fun.
Beautiful place and friendly staff .I also enjoy the natural aroma and the greener garden
The place is good and relaxing, its next to a great dam. If you want to smell and touch lions, leopards and tigers, this is a great place to be.
It was an awesome Saturday, great fun and activities. Delicious food in a warm environment.
Beautiful setting with the sound of lions all around. Classic bathrooms very neat rooms and the lions..! Most affordable accommodation. Will return to bring the family..!
We had a national training camp hosted at the lodge. The food was really good. The rooms were comfortable and the staff efficient and friendly.
The place is the best especially if you wanna relax and have a little bit of fun
What a experience. Awesome people. Effective and efficient. Friendly and helpful. Amazing eco park.
Visited the lion park. Lions looked so depressed. Mini zoo feel and not worth the R150 price. My kids didnt enjoy it much
One of the best places in town. The place is beautiful and very exciting from the moment you enter the premises you just know that you are going to have a lot of fun there.
The wedding venue looking over the river is breath taking. Spent some time sitting here in my quiet moment.
What a lovely venue for weddings. An African experience with Lions roaring. Rooms are clean and excelent food and friendly staff
Very nice place to take some time off and just enjoy nature. A real lodge as its supposed to be - not one of the shebeen lodges that pops up everywere
Got to interact with lions. Quite an experience. The tigers are a sight worth seeing. The place is worth visiting
Enjoyed a relaxing meal with good friends. Saw all the animals, feeding of the lions & tigers. Very enjoyable indeed.
Lovely place with all types of cats, well maintained, friendly staff
We had a birthday surprise party there great place! 💯
Disgusting exploitation at its finest. Where are the mothers of these very young cubs that get handled by humans all day long? Why are all these animals being raised at a camp for tourists? Why...because they are being raised for canned hunts! All of these animals that are being loved on and hand raised by people, all of these animals that seem so well cared for, all of these animals that pose for pictures will wind up on the other side of a rifle and their heads will hang on some trophy hunters wall and their bones shipped to Asia for medicinal use. Great way to disguise yourselves as some sort of animal refuge.
The animals are well looked after and seem to be healthy. If I was rating the animal aspect alone I would be rating 5 stars. However, after the animals we went to the restaurant to eat something. We discovered a limited menu awaiting us and decided to let the drink be our deciding factor as to whether or not we will be eating here. Service was quite slow and the Cappacinos we received still contained undissolved pieces and seemed to be from sachets. In conclusion: Animals 5 StarsThe Rest 2 StarsKind RegardsHeinrich
Lovely place away from city where roaring lions keep you up at night. Tranquil and exciting
Nice place to visit. It really enjoyable. Most of the wild animals are available
Beautiful place. Rooms advertised as self catering but no fridge in room. No stove or gas braai available to guests to prepare meals. Water quality not for human consumption. No teaspoons. No coffee cups. Only teacups. Cuttlery levels on the lodge itself is very low. At least got one teaspoon for two rooms.
Great place and good interaction with lion cubs
Best place if u love animal coz u even have a chance 2 touch the lions
A great opportunity to interact with Lion and other wild animals.Kids had alot of fun, good value for money.Nice venue and beautiful surroundings next to the River, guides were great.
A very calm environment. Sight of big cats 👌👌👌
Great overnight prices. Amazing animals. Very friendly staff. Had the best barman.
Best and most friendly staff. Definitely a must to visit it. Will be back, thats for sure.
Predator park is amazing.
It just looks exotic when you get there. Its very nice
The lions are always stinking and are kept in small cages (as well as the other animals) plus when the spca comes they move lions from over crouded cages away so it all looks fine.and their music is too loud and disturbs the other guests .. Other wise the food is good and service is kind
Great value for money! Friendly and helpful staff! Loved the animals.
