This is a beautiful gem in Tzaneen, the people are friendly and very helpful.The breakfast is a winner and you get the healthy fruits with yogurt or you can jave the english breakfast. If you want both you can.The rooms are spacious and very neat, big shower and a tub for two people which is nice for a couple getaway.The pool is sparkling blue and looks really refreshing.All in all its a great place work work stay overs or a quick get away.

Amazing View, the weather is just great. The setting is top class, very impressive. If one is looking for a getaway on holidays, Tamboti is the place to go.

Its a great place to use escape a noisy environment. The environment is beautiful and quiet. The staff is very friendly and we had a warm welcome from the receptionist whom I got to know as mam Martha, she assisted us with a smile. The food is very delicious, especially dinner which is a three course meal. The chef always prepares the best meals. The pool is well kept and also the plants there, they are very refreshing. The view from our room was amazing and the interior didnt disappoint. Next time Ill book for a longer stay because this has been one of those experiences of a lifetime. We stayed for 4 nights, and it was very affordable on top of that.

One of the best B&Bs Ive had the opportunity to stay in while travelling for work. Staff is friendly, the lodge is beautiful and clean, beds are comfortable and rooms are well maintained. The reception and cleaning staff always go out of the way to make our stay more comfortable, and the breakfast is exceptional. Wont stay anywhere else when we need to travel to Tzaneen. Highly recommended.

Not a happy guest. Nobody assist with taking bags to the upstairs to economy room no 14. Do NOT accept a booking in ROOM 14! This is an upstairs loft room with a beam which causes head injuries! When we arrived,the room was stuffy even after making a pre booking. This should have been a sign to rather leave! The aircondioning is only cold according to reception, after the fact .Only if you ask why the aircon does not work, the security staff brings an oil heater. So now in room 14, you have no fresh air because the aircon only blows cold and there ate no windows... the aircon is too cold and heater becomes too hot!No ice in the ice trays. Someone from management should sleep there 1 night? Hair dryer can not be used at the dressing table...the plug is either by the bathroom ot fridge! 4 star? No...check out the shower...no people taller than 4ft 10 can use this room. There is wheel chair parking but wheelchair guest could not access to reception? I raised my concern to reception on morning of 30 JULY2021 . She thought it is the norm to have a air conditioner which only blows cold? TipListen to your guests and do not try and outsmart them! They pay you salaries.

Nothing was working in room 20 except the plugs.The was only one tap that had water and cold water at that, i had to Boil water using the kettle.The aircon only blows out cold air and theres no hot air

A missed opportunity. With a great location and well-rounded facilities, Tamboti falls short on delivery. Although their breakfast could have been great - with tasty mushrooms, perfectly prepared poached eggs, it must the dirty tomato sauce bottle and poor quality juice that left a horrible taste. The cheap dairy snack just added to the nightmare. Fruit yoghurt is the answer.The room, on the right side of size and design, was marred by a stained bed cushion that the cleaner insisted on displaying showing the soiled side. The underbelly of the toilet seat is yellow on the rim and I twice left this up to show that it needs to be properly cleaned or scrapped. My efforts were in vain. Did I tell about the terrible stink that I walked into on my 1st day? I had to empty the airfreshner just to mask the unwelcoming smell.And to top it all, horrible shower experience. The shower head, the water flow, complete disaster.That I stayed for full three nights is not a testament to the greatness of the place, but a lack of choice.

Awesome stay with great service. Facilities are clean and well maintained.Security is more than expected and as helpfull as the lodge staff themself.From reception to cleaners all are friendly, helpfull and patient no matter the issue or question.Rooms are services daily and are deserving of the 4 star rating.Gardens are lush, green and very well looked after.

This place is very need

We stayed here one night. We got a very big and beautiful room. The bathroom is big even as the beds. The food is amazing! The chef made us a 4 course menu with all homemade food what tasted outstanding! The pool is nice and clean En is very nice to sit by and relax with a drink. The breakfast was also very good with a lot of choice. We loved to stay here!

The service is excellent. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Internet is slow sometimes but that does not matter as the beds are so comfortable you will fall asleep straight away. Highly recommend this place

Its a lovely guesthouse. The room and bathroom are a good size and I liked the white walls and floors too. I think this is better than any place I have stayed in Tzaneen and most 3 to 4 stars hotel/lodges. The breakfast can be improved.

Except for renovations on the pool, leaving it out of order... The overnight accommodation was perfect. Lovely deep bath and shower, perfect amenities, and a great bed and aircon. All you need!

Friendly accommodating owner and the staff always have a smile on their face. The food is excellent and the rooms well decorated and always extremely clean. The manager is always accepting of you no matter the request. If I could I would move in there and most probably live till the age of 250 years old. Thanks Tamboti

White lady at reception is unfriendly and not welcoming hence we didnt stay here. The staff welcomed us at the gate and we got the impression that this was a place we could consider but after meeting the owner/admin inside we quickly moved over to next location. Seems like the pool is dirty too.

Nice place to stay with friendly service, with a beautiful central swimming pool. The room was perfect, the WiFi however was bad or non existent. The breakfast was ok.

Terrible service. They will need to pay me to go back there again. I could not sleep because of the noise coming from the upstairs unit. I dont know if there was a party or not but I felt like I was in a township shebeen. Between 23:15 and 00:30 I called all 3 cell numbers on their leaflet. One was off, the other 2 just rang. I reported this rwith the lady at reception at about 07:15, who wore an oversized jersey, also uninterested in my complaint just told me that someone is on her way. Its 9:00 now none of my calls were returned. For a 4 star hotel, they need to be ashamed of their service! They are a 1 star kind of service place!

They have wonderful rooms equipped with almost all basic amenities required in a room.

Hi, altough the garden and rooms are lovely the service is poor, arrived to find that for 2 of us there is abooking but the vouchers was not received from travel, do u not check your bookings and make sure u have all the paperwork? For a 4 star establishment the reception looks like some back storage room, the lady at reception is cheeky and my friend did not sleep at all as someone in room above was having a party until after 1, she called all 3 mobile numbers and no one answered, several times, it is now 8h40 and yet no one bothered to return her calls, so we are paing to sleep in a shebeen. Never again!

A nice lodge ever been

Very clean and spacious rooms. Awesome breakfast and very friendly staff. An awesome all round experience with full DSTV bouquet and 55curve tvs in room perfect for business travelers wanting to relax for the next days drive and work. Will definitely come back.Only thing I would recommend is for them to put a bigger or secondary aircon in the rooms as the singular unit installed is not adequate to cool the size of the rooms effectively.Thank you Tambotie Lodge for a relaxing and friendly experience

The Lodge is located in a beautiful quiet area (villa park) on the outskirts of Tzaneen. We had a pleasant stay in this accommodation for 2 weeks (!). The rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with all comforts including flat screen satellite TV (BVN), refrigerator, coffee / tea, hairdryer and spacious bathroom.Parking space is on the same closed and guarded area, camera and fence security available including night watchman.Breakfast is well organized: fresh fruit, yogurt, sereals, coffee / tea / fruit juice / milk and various egg variants are freshly prepared.Dinner (dinner) is only available on weekdays however SUBLIME.The chef Peter Irons chooses his own products and prepares an excellent three-course menu. He will explain this himself, serve it up and tell in a pleasant way about the preparation and choices.The wait staff and room service are very friendly.Well worth a visit for the future!Patrick and Marianne
