Highly recommend stopping here for a wine tasting! Not only are the wines unique (where else have you tasted a White Pinotage?) but the staff are also really friendly and make the whole experience a treat.

It’s a definite must. The staff is great. We where met by a very knowledgeable Andretti. The wine is🍷 great the atmosphere is awesome. We also met Dirk the wine maker he took us for a private tasting. It was just so good. Take time and visit when you are in Tulbagh.

Arrived late on a Sunday afternoon, awesome welcome, enthusiastic wine stewards, great white pinotage. Wine tasting was informative, wine was great tasting. Highly recommend.

A small but magnificent vineyard in Tulbagh, most certainly one of the greatest we went to. The tasting room is directly next to their processing area and you feel a part of the wine making when youre tasting. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and passionate about their wines. A very unusual white pinotage on offer. We were fortunate enough to be given a cellar tasting by the winemaker himself. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, was brilliant!

What a fantastic visit! Dirk, Louise and Catherine were incredibly welcoming from the very second we drove up. This is so much more than your average wine tasting experience. Absolute must do when traveling to or through Tulbagh.

We came to this wonderful vineyard based on a recommendation of another winemaker in Tulbagh. We had to try the white pinotage - absolutely amazing!But even more so was the hospitality of Dirk and Louise. Even though the tasting room was closed on this day Louise opened it up for us and Dirk even took us to the cellar to taste their wines right out of the barrels. Although work in the vineyard was waiting they sat down with us and we had some great conversations. It feels like we came as strangers and left as friends. Thank you very much for this experience!

High up in the Tulbagh valley, overlooking the town and views towards Ceres, Wolseley, Worcester and Bains Kloof.Oude Compagnies Post is a great boutique wine farm with wine - tasting with extremely knowledgeable and innovative wine makers.There is also the option to choose a mountainside tasting, from a little plateau above the vineyards, with wine maker Dirk Swanepoel, who will also entertain you with historical facts and anecdotes about the town of Tulbagh and, of course, this farm in particular.If you are in need of a truly relaxed environment, without the sound of traffic or industry to annoy you, there are a few, delightful guest rooms (with Wi-Fi), if you really need to get yourself busy with the outside world.There is also a beautiful little swimming pool for the guests.

Stayed in room 2, great place. Got way more than expected, everything seemed new and the whole place was very clean with great views. Definitely reccomended. And the braai are was really amazing.

Beautiful old world farm style place with lovely views overlooking the valley and mountains. Stunning place. Loved the historical buildings. The wine was very good too. An enjoyable day with the Van der Mentals Band along with wine tasting and tasty lunches. Thank you for hosting that event.

A hidden gem!!First class award winning wine by talented young educated winemaker & father. Stunning views, creative self catering guest houses, hiking routes & guided overnight camping on top of the Winterhoek mountains! The latter a must for the more adventurous inclined!

We were staying nearby but spent a memorable, spectacular evening at Oude Compagnies Post recently where Dirk Swanepoel and the team set up a very special dinner/wine-tasting and wine-teaching experience for a large group of 18 people in the atmospheric wine cellar.

Very good wines and friendly, passionate owner.

The accommodation was absolutely lovely and tranquil!
