Food was great with a good view. Batter on the fish and calamari needs some work, but very tasty.

Would have loved to taste your fare. Takeaways available prominently displayed outside the front door however the restaurant was too busy and we were rudely turned away empty handed.Heres the lesson ... takeaways add good additional value to your business with little added fuss or service especially if your menu simple with fish, calamari and chips. When youre busy you can always buy extra time with a seated diner with a quick chat or additional drink, giving you the opportunity to clear your Takeaway orders.I did manage to find fantastic fish up the road at Fish and Chicken.

Was there for a take-away lunch today. We were told that they cant do a take-away as the restaurant is busy for lunch! There is literally 6 items on the menu all of them with a side of chips! I worked in the restaurant industry for a while and I never heard of anyone telling a customer that they cant make an order cause they are busy Heheh..... in times of Covid I would have thought that they would just about anything to give a customer a great experience. Would suggest they dont offer take-aways on their sign boards makes for a bad customer experience when you cant fulfill an order.

Delicious, fresh sea food!We had lobster, calamari, hake and tjips.Lobster was nicely salted and juicy, the hake was soft and fresh, the calamari was well made and the chips crispy. Not expensive!Over all, it was way better than any fancy restaurant or Ocean Baskets.The service was great (we made a reservation and they asked what we would like to order), the waitresses were friendly and helpful and the owner was also very kind.They played good music, we had a great view of the sea and the homey atmosphere cant be missed.

This authentic fish restaurant, located in the small harbor of Stillbaai has got very tasty fish and a beautiful view.The restaurant sits right atop the fishshop and looks out over Stillbaai, its beach & river mouth and the open seas. The kitchen can get quiet busy as locals fill up the restaurant during -and after- sunset. The fish is grilled or fried to perfection and served with delicious salad, veggies or tasty chips.Our waitress advised us to order the Cob, which according to her gets brought in fresh everyday and it was delicious! They also have a nice selection of (organic) wines and small starters.Unfortunately you cant make a reservation, but because of the beautiful sunset its definitely worth an early check in.

Waited 40 minutes for our first round of drinks (while the kitchen was closed, between 4pm - 5pm). Ordered 2 x hake and chips and 2 x seafood platters. First they got the order wrong. Then the hake was off.When we eventually got to eat (2 hours later) the food was good.

Went there a week ago for lunch and it was good. Went there tonight and got served fish that was off. They offered to replace the meals with something else but after having a mouthful of bad fish your appetite is gone. Hope we don’t get sick overnight! Such great potential - but not getting it right. 🤢😡🍤

If you are in Stilbaai I definitely recommend this place. Order the seafood platter, it is good for 3 ideally but I saw 2 people eat it and actually finish it

Cannot believe that it is the same restuarant that we use to eat at in June, December and January. We were very dissappointed. Friends feel the same. We are going to try Lapskuit tomorrow.

Absolutely ridiculous that you have to drive to the restaurant to put your name down on a list. If you would be able to call and put your name down on the list you wouldnt have to wait till 22:00 to get a table. Very bad logistics from their side.

They are not familiar with gluten free food but they will do their best to assist. Food is easy and nice. Bring some warm clothes if the night is chilly.

DO NOT ORDER PRAWNS!!Heavily priced prawns for what can best be described as tasteless swimming amongst garlic which is all you will taste.The view is nice and corkage is cheap. Stick to fish n chips.

The calamari was unseasoned and bland mixed with soggy and tasteless crumbs. Not even tartare sauce and lemon juice could get some flavour into it. The dining area was pitifully dirty, so much so, that we did not know where to put down our handbags as the floor was covered in what looked like three-day-old trampled chips, while the walls and tables were decorated in smudges of sauce. The only plus side is the location and friendly waiting staff.

How long must you wait from start to finished and food not e en fresh but frozen and you are f.. 300 meters form the sea f.. had u drinkand a starter in 2 hours and still waiting to pay the bill!!! F.. unbelievable there is 3 waiters and and 4 tables really stay away rather go to McDonalds

Food was way overpriced for the bad quality we got. Calamari was bland and the breading looked like old wheetbix. Chips were ok but not that great. All in all, I can make better at home for a fraction of what we paid. Not impressed and will never see me or my family staying here again.

We ordered oysters and it was old. Not fresh but frozen to the point that the oysters tasted strange, the shells were brittle...and sort of on the oysters. Ice cubes were put on top to create a fresh look. We mentioned this to the waitress... The manager/owner removed it from their blackboard. We ordered kabeljou... It was hard and dry. Tasteless. My salad leaves were brown...obviously old or scraped together from leftovers. My husband also ordered salad but vegetables were put on his plate. No excuse was offered. Not once were we approached by the management to apologise. This was a very dissapointing experience. Not to be repeated.
