Seafood in their Marinara pasta was frozen, they charge R185 for frozen seafood that was like rubber. Our waitress was excellent, however the owner refused to talk to us, sat behind her desk and the chef who came to talk to us didnt handle it so professionally, unfortunately had high hopes as the restaurant is lovely but I feel customer service, bar our amazing waitress is lacking and feel they are kind of taking advantage charging people a high price for frozen food. Owner followed us out the restaurant after paying the rest of our bill shouting insults and wished that we got sick....

My fiance and I had dinner here about a week ago and was I happy. I ordered a sirloin but got a fillet instead. Happiest mistake ever. The softest meat Ive ever eaten. Service is also great. Definite place to go.

What a meal!Starters - I had the mushrooms; define.Mains - had a bit of a wait, but was woth it and the restaurant was very full!I had a rib eye, chips and veggies, which was a special for the evening. What a meal! I cleaned my plate which is something I dont often do.Too full from the meal to have dessert, so Dom Pedro it isif I have to recommend a good Italuan restaurant in Stellenbosch, this would be it.

I think I had something call Zimino.. that was lovely! The best food I had in South Africa so far lol... the portion was quite huge not forgetting that I had turndown rice/chips/salad that should have come with it. No regret! We don’t find the food expensive compared to UK/ SG =)

Its a popular spot so I would recommend making a reservation, but today we stopped in after a hike, just before 5pm, so it was fairly quiet and we could pick a great spot outside. Unfortunately the outdoor seating is a smoking area, which can be unpleasant when its busier, especially if youre allergic to cigarette smoke, but despite that its a lovely place to sit on a beautiful day, under the shade of the veranda, which has some vines and other plants growing around it, which adds to the atmosphere. The service was great, and they allowed us to switch out some of the ingredients in our calzones for ones we preferred... And on that note, the food was amazingly good, as well as the chocolate milkshakes.

Delicious pasta dishes and a few vegetarian options too. Had great, friendly and efficient service from Steven and will definitely be back.

Always a great experience. My uber cla(i)ms it is the best vongole she ever had (and she has had a few 😉). Her other half only looked up when he needed a beer to scoff down his pizza. Me, fresh from a post op discharge and 22hrs of nil per mouth, I might just be biased when it comes to a succulent schnitzel and fantastic homemade pepper sauce💥

Great food, had the lam shank and cooked to perfection. Winelist include some if the best wines out of the Stellenbosch region and reasonably price. Service also good. Can recommend.

Ravioli Carbonara was decent. Nothing memorable but a relatively good price. 3 stars awarded as the bacon used was definitely out of pack of bacon bits and quite fatty and chewy. Friendly service though.

We had a wonderful experience. The service was friendly and very good. The food was delicious, I would definitely recommend the Al Curry Pasta and the panna cotta.Not the first time we have been to Decameron and it wont be the last.

If asked how I Rate Decameron earlier today - at least 5 stars plus .But after tonights disaster less than 1 star.Saltimbocca ,rubbery cheese with cold meat. Calamari cold, sauce ICE coldFortunately our waitress , although embarassed , served us very well.We visit Decameron regularly and this is not what we expect from Decameron.

Very good meal, small portions, which in a traditional restaurant is disappointing. But, extra very good home made bread is offered if requested. We ordered a side of chips to share afterwards, which filled the void... best fries weve had in ages. Perfect in fact! Coffee and Limoncelo to end a well served meal from friendly staff. Cherry on top was as we were leaving the chef came running after us with a bag of their home grown heirloom tomatoes which are on display, and about which Id enquired . Will use them for a great Caprese salad today.

Dont know why Google reviews doesnt have less than a 1 star but where do I begin firstly ordered 2 Kingclip and both were frozen fish not fresh and gourmet portions for R190 the chips are very oily. Staff need to get taught to not have their backs to the diners.Staff are very kind and helpful, another thing is that all the food looks to be overpriced for what you get would not recommend in MY OPINION

Mama Mia! If you like overpriced, average Italian food, then this is the place for you. There are much better eateries in the Stellenbosch area than this joint. Spend your money elsewhere. At least you wont be sitting on the street listening to cars go by whilst choking down pricey pizza!

A very bad experience.we ordered sal.on pasta and were told that they were out of stock of salmon.we then ordered meat caneloni and were then informed they have only one.the food we ordered took more then an hour.we complained a lot but the owner who was there did not even bother to come to our table.when we eventually spoke to the owner when we left she did not apologize but rather in an arrogant way told us that we do not have to come back to her restaurant again. I will never go there again and will not recommend this restaurant

An old-style family restaurant serving Italian classics. The ossobucco is my husbands favourite in winter. Great pizza and highly recommend the whole baby chicken done in the pizza oven. A great selection of local wines but you are also welcome to byo. Booking recommended for weekends.

This rating system should allow for an extra star to rate top tier restaurants, a six or even seventh star. However high the rating system would go this particular restaurant should rate higher than every other eatery in Stellenbosch. Everything is just simply perfect about Decameron
