This place ticked all the boxes for me. The right amount of options on the menu, the food was delicious, exudes luxury, cotton hand towels in the restrooms, stunning deco. Anthony gave us the right amount of attention. A new favourite for me.

I cannot describe in words nor with adequate English the joy weve experienced here. The furniture and decor are relics with souls that are reminiscent of better days far gone and yet to come. The majestic wood interiors create a sense of warm wonder that stirs a feeling of home away from home and the sense of comfort and relaxation sets in. The wine was clearly a table favourite by the great Dionysus and well received and utterly enjoyed by us mere mortals. The chef wowed us with his dexterity and gifs for the art of making food, for a burger and a pork belly never tasted so good. The dessert was a show stopper as all conversations died away like the last burning logs on the hearth.

The wine was great. My favourite was the cabernet sauvignon and the least favourite was the pinotage rose.The service was amazing, shout out to Bulelwa.

The setting is beautiful. The trees and squirrels running on the lawn make it a peaceful and idyllic place to go for a great lunch staff and service is friendly and professional. The food and wine selection is diverse with something for everyone. Beautifully presented food that tastes so good. It is a bit expensive but it was worth every cent.

We went for wine tastingThen decided to have lunch.I ordered the pie ( the waiter told me its a beef & vegetable pie.)After a long wait ( more than 70 Min) my Beef & mushroom pie came with a salad that was so dry of standing in a hot kitchen!The decor of the deli and farm is really beautiful.I only recommend this place if you have time to spare and you dont mind waiting!

A place where tea lovers can enjoy a special tea surrounded by history and tranquility.We chose to sit inside as outside in the non smoking section, people were smoking. The beautiful waitress was kind enough to close the door.Sitting at an antique table on comfortable chairs was a better experience than sitting outside. Our waitress was so friendly and polite as were the others.The special treats from the deli section looked amazing. And I believe tastes amazing. We will be back.

4.5 stars. Honestly was a pretty stunning winery! The only thing I wish was that the terrace where they serve food wasnt overlooking the parking lot. I wish the views from there were of the estate.

The scones were incredible! It also included fresh cream and absolutely divine strawberry jam. I would definitely recommend coming here for a lazy afternoon.

This is by far my most favorite wine farms in Stellenbosch, very knowledgeable stuff, beautiful red wines and beautiful views.

Exceptional venue, amazing staff, above average food. Ended off a lovely terrace lunch with a whiskey in honour of barman Herman who retired after 50 years. He was as much an institution as the establishment itself.

My partner and I had the most incredibly good experience at Lanzerac today. Beginning with a generous wine tasting and scrumptious light lunch in the cool shade of the deli, followed by a walk around the Historically established gardens and vineyards, and ending in the most delicious dinner at the Taphuis. The service team (Monique at the Deli, Bheki at Taphuis) were so welcoming and knowledgeable, it was awesome to experience service from a passionate and confident staff. The whole experience at Lanzerac can be summarised as the perfect balance between chill and finesse and we would definitely love to come back here again.

TL;DR: service is sloooow, expect 2-3 hours.So, I have a bit of a love/hate experience with this place. Clearly its 5 star look and feel but man, the service times are atrocious. 2-3 hours for food and a wine tasting... honestly. They werent even that busy...and it felt like they were doing us a favour. To be fair, I do not blame the waiting staff, they were very good once we got going. And we didnt book bit we were shown a table none the less, I dont expect less of a service because I didnt make a reservation.I brought some foreign friends for a wine tasting and food... Unfortunately was let down by very poor turn around times and lack luster management. Food took an age to arrive, the tasting we eventually got going.Both the wine and food was very very good, for sure top tier (when it eventually arrived) But the wait time and me having to chase down a waiter and ask for menus and all that, was not worthy of a even a 1 star rating.Thing is, we got AMAZING service at the lesser known farms and honestly after today I feel our time and money would have been better spent elsewhere.

Classic historic venue. Beautiful setting and the buildings beautifully restored after the tragic fire two years ago. Excellent service and great wines. An iconic place to visit.

Wonderful breakfast. Not oversized with a focus on quality rather than quantity. Friendly service and beautiful environment. Only downside was the coffee machine that needed a service (burnt taste). I look forward to coming back and changing my rating to 5 stars.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very relaxing. You dont have much of a view from the restaurant, but the view from the spa is beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the wine tasting and the cheese platter was delicious, surprisingly very filling. They also have a really nice selection of deserts and pastries too. I would definitely recommend going.

I booked a table on the terrace for two pax, which was confirmed by Le Roux. On arrival I was informed that we will have to sit inside or outside at the back. NB nobody else inside or at the back. I informed Duty Manager Smit of our disappointment but was then informed nothing he can do about it. Not a very customer friendly person at all. We then sat inside and our order for drinks were taken. After a while we were informed a table was available on the terrace and we then had to change tables. When ordering food we were informed that various items on the menu were not available - how disappointing. We then settled on scones. Scones were served but the clotted cream was the consistancy of butter, not near the texture of clotted cream. Eventually requested the bill which after three efforts in asking never came. After 20 minutes waiting for the bill I went inside to pay at the desk. Really not impressed with either the presentation of the scones and in particular the poor service.

Do not go when theyre busy. The staff struggle to keep up with the number of guests, especially once the tour groups start arriving. Other than the ow and disjointed service our tasting experience was quite pleasant. A good compliment of wines expertly introduced by the lovely Lukhanyo.

A great place to come for a relaxed lunch in a beautiful setting. The staff is very friendly. I found the smoked trout overly salty, but everything else Ive had has been fresh and delicious. Ask about the daily specials (pies, quiches, tarts), which are always a treat.
