Apart from some of the security staff outside the building, the staff in the main were polite, courteous, professional and friendly.Good efficient service and thank you.

The place was well organised with enough space for all people .There was enough signage and the staff was helpful ,friendly and professional.
All good. But!!! they have a ridiculous system with 3 lines, one person is checking, another one is taking documents, another one it taking finger prints. So your waiting time is ×3. Why do they need this, only they will know. Instead of waiting 30 min (till 1st counter) ended up waiting 1 hour 30 min. 30 min each line. What a waste of time and job creation 🙄
Absolutely useless bunch of lazy people. Their website says one thing, I arrive there and they tell me something else. Not once did I receive an extensive or accurate answer to any of my questions. (Facebook visa group gave me more accurate information than VFS employees) They made me come back there countless times because they failed to do their job properly in the first place. Paying for premium lounge was just a waste of money because the service provided was far below satisfactory.

Hi i have been applying for renew visa application for the past 3 months or more, ip stiml waiting for the out come. No one to answer the phone. What must i do next ?
I had a bad experience today, I went to renew daughters study visa with an appointment confirmation at 10:45 AM. I arrived there at 10 AM and was made to wait in the sun at a parking lot on mutual road , all this for paying 1350 as service fees. I waited till 11:45 as the letter said that service may take upto 1 hr. Eventually I waited till 2:30 PM and then I understood that something is wrong. I eventually went inside at 3:30 and came out by 5 PM. So whats happening here is corruption to issue tokens. The appointment system is not being honoured by VFS staff and their security company Vusela Risk Services. While they make the genuine appointment people to stand in the parking lot, others with appointment later in the day or no appointments are being let in after touts approach you with I can make you go first promise. So basically they have make their own token system a mini money making side business. I spoke to the security manager, the VFS manager and their response was very slack. When I went in at 3:38 PM I saw in the security register that all appointment after 10:45 were already inside as they jumped the queue. This is after paying 1350 as service fees. I highly recommend that VFS higher management look into these malpractices at the Rivonia branch of VFS. I am sure this is not a once off occurrence. If you go there do not trust the security guards, go inside the building within 15 mins of your scheduled time and demand a reason for not honouring the appointment.

Dont bother paying for premium because we still waited for 3 hours because the staff inside ask for bribes to let other people into the premium lane. This is disgusting behaviour how can you ask for money for the premium service then allow premium customers to sit for 3 hours while asking for bribes

Vfs service has been great.. but not Home affairs after I got rejected from employment contract which I forgot to attach.. however letter from the employer was there..i wish vfs can do the whole process..cos its an anti corruption organization.. thank you

Its really a struggle from the time you arrive. You are asked to line up at a parking area with no clue how long it takes and the guards does not follow first in first out. Electronic system must be implemented to efficiently turnover the customers at the initial arriving area. I booked a premium lounge and was asked to wait at a random queue and it was a struggle with a 2 year old boy. I recommend you arrive at least 30min prior to avoid long queue.
Nice experience. Well organised and service was excellent. The Lounge service was a great and better experience. Consultant was very helpful. I would say it was a better experience when compare to the Pretoria office...
Staff can be extremely rude. Especially lady who served me when I was picking up my results. Their organisation is chaotic. All over a poor experience. Not a good advertisement for South Africa

VFS in Rivonia Village made sure to offer the authentic Home Affairs experience. Dont go in with any expectations higher than a standard government office. The staff was unbelievably unprofessional, to the point where I dont trust that the application will be handled properly. Good luck.
Very efficient, not crowded and parking spots available
My appointment was scheduled for 8:00am and my wife 08:15am, the first time slots available. You need to enter the VFS office from the back, not the entrance at the front where Rocco Mamas is. Walk around the building to your right. There will be a queue of anxious people waiting for the doors to open 8am. Dont jump the queue, just wait for the crowd to enter at together and make your way up the stairs to the first floor. The guard will call out all Shengen Visa applicants to form a new row. Dont forget to print out your appointment confirmation to show to the guard. Once inside the whole process is organised and quick. You get a ticket and take a seat until they read out your ticket number. The lady who assisted us (my wife and I at the same time) was fast and professional and asked for the documents on the checklist one after the other. After digital bio metrics and paying a hefty R 1,325 each we were on our way by 08:40am.Tip: You can get complaint visa photos from PostNet Sandton City

Are you rich? Do you like being treated like a unwanted guest. Then this visa processing center is the stop for you. Pay to recieve exclusive Premium services and jump everyone in queue who has been standing in the soldering hot sun, only to get served first, coz yeah its not bribery if you make it a product or service. If this place was a video game the best way to describe it is Pay to win. Broke people better go to your home country, you might get less xenophobic treatment or service from agitated personnel.

From security to vsf staff excellent service
Crowd management was poor from covid perspective. Not sure why they had long queues as it is a must to have appointment to visit.Once you are in the office area, then social distancing is strictly followed.

This year it have been difficult to submit the documents. Very long queues. Even if you have an appointment, you have to be on the queue.
Wish Home Affairs would just close this circus of a place. Things we much better before vfs came into the picture, dont forget the special treatment given to agents.

For all builsiness related issues like international Visa applications for European countries thats the place to be. Safe and quite but also with local vendors trading hand made artifacts..maybe buy two or three and support local artists

Absolutely useless service!!Arrived at 8am - now at close to 2 still waiting !!Disorganised , no order, no clear rules, people cutting the lines, no communication with people waiting for hours, rude security guards . Pathetic!!!How do organisations run like this? There are basic principles of planning in running a business which one would expect from any organisation !I am disgusted and your service & recommend you hire consultants to teach you the basics of how to plan, deal with people and run a business !!!!

Terrible service, rude staff, booking times are never on track
Covid-19 aside you pay a hefty fee for their services but on the 25/11/2020 we were made to wait in a carpark actoss the street to respect social distancing but no chairs to even sit. How does this account for older people and people with dissabilities and single mothers with young kids accompanying them. Disgusting no organisation.. VFS catch a wake up.. people are not cattle waiting to be branded!

Waiting times can be quite long even with an appointment.Limited information on their website with regards to documents needed, which almost always mean you’ll be turned back for missing one document or another, so be prepared for that.Premium lounge is overpriced but certainly needed amidst all the queuing and delays.Queuing during COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions is a nightmare. Due to physical distancing inside the building, prepare to queue on the street or parking lot for some time before you’re allowed in.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Had an appointment at 11:30 and wasnt seen until after 5pm where the clerk gave me a hard time about being slow with my papers because he was supposed to be off at 5pm. Should be noted that you will be standing in a parking lot for the wait time. In my case 5 hours.

Came into contact with 5 employees, one slightly helpful, one who barely acknowledged me and three who were helpful and friendly. I was there for a collection, in and out in seven minutes. I was dreading the visit and had been putting it off for weeks. What a pleasant surprise.

I understand the confusion of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, but I have received no communication from VFS on the status of my application appointment, nor has there been any update of information on the VFS South Africa website with regards to your services since March. Even an automated email reply with some updated information would help. VFS in other countries are providing regular updates of information on their websites to keep applicants informed.
