I highly recommend Dr Van Der Merwe. I am a general dentist and wouldnt have anyone else work on me. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Dr van der merwe has a very easy going personality that makes you feel as ease!

I received quick responses in setting up my appointment (which was rather urgent) and was pleasantly surprised throughout my visit there. I got my teeth washed here, and the oral hygienist was very warm in her approach, and gave me the most thorough clean I had ever had. She really, really took her time to do a proper job, and kept me aware of what she was doing each step of the way.Their services certainly come at a premium though. A dental check up sets you back about R900, even if it happens to last no longer than 5 minutes. But they are super professional and are happy to sit with you and answer any questions you may have.

Highly Recommended. Some of the best professional and medical care and expertise experienced. Entire process from consultation, to use of hi-tech and modern equipment/procedures to the warm friendliness of all the staff made the whole process of attending the dentist less stressful and with no pain experienced despite 2+ hours in the dentist chair .... almost a pleasure !.

Dr van der Merwe and his staff are AMAZING! The Dr is meticulous, particular, and cares about making your smile look great. I am from the US and had a dental emergency just before an important job interview. He got me in right away with very short notice, and fixed the problem. What an amazing experience! Im always rather nervous going to the dentist but Dr van der Merwe had my best interest as well as comfort at heart. Its seldom a person can say the dentist visit was a pleasant experience! State of the art technology combined with skilled hands has left my mouth something to be proud of again, without the pain. Dr Wynand has a beautiful practice and the service is exceptional. However, the practice charges way above medical aid rates ( in my case - 3 times higher) so please ensure that you have funds available to pay when the bill comes along.

A year back i went for crowns by a normal dentist who managed to cause more damage to my gums than good. Not to mention the crowns not fitting properly.Wynand has managed to save me from this and I HIGHLY recommend him for any dental work.The technology that Wynand uses is far more advanced than most other dentists so I suggest you go to him before even considering any other dentist. He is a bit of a perfectionist as well so If you want perfect teeth, Go see him !!

Sandton Dental Studio was recommended to me by a colleague, and as it happened I needed a crown just before my trip to SA. Appointment was made the week before and they proactively accommodated my limited time in Joburg. Very professional initial consultation and assessment for the crown, and then a visit to the hygienist while the crown was being made by the onsite CNC machine. That finished same time as the hygienist and it was back to Dr Wynand for the fitting without any delay or fuss. To say that this ran like clockwork is an understatement! Dr Wynand is obviously exceptionally good at his job and with some nice customer focused touches. For instance I don’t particularly like dental injections and so he administered a small amount, waited for the area to go numb before injecting the rest. A very impressive professional service from initial consultation to crown in just under an hour and a half. Most definitely recommended!

Went to Bianca, oral hygienist yesterday and I cannot recommend her services highly enough. From enterening the doors you know you are in for an experience and not merely an appointment! She is so professional and so kind and friendly and did an absolute stirling job!! Thank you very much for an outstanding service in a world where mediocrity is the norm more often than not!!
