Very slow customer service. We waited for 2 hours while the lady assisting us at the store waited for customer service to pick up the line and process our application, only to be sent back to complete another process independently. So unprofessional.

Worst experience.It took us 1 week to do something that they guarantee takes 2-24 hours.The person who helped us was FIFI and CHARLES.One week and they could not open nor register. Everyday you have to go back to beg as if they are doing you a favor and not taking your money

One Star is a compliment !A contract was taken and canceled in the second week of January. Four months later I am still being debited for a device as well as data usage, For a device that was returned to the store in the time allocated yet the sales rep and the store manager refuses to help in any way. Who do I contact for further assistance as the workers of the store are never there and the manager swears and shouts at us every time we call him saying that it doesnt concern him. The sales reps name is Thuso and the Manager is David

I was assisted by a guy called Tebogo God he is so unprofessional ,also their manager David it took him a whole month to fix what Tebogo did. Mtn i am not happy with this Mtn direct. i hope you do something about this store ,please do a review the store.

Small store with not enough staff-however when finally assisted-they were good-on the ball and knew all the ins and outs to get what we wanted done smoothly. Kgomatoso was awesome in transfering all the data from the old to new phone and our sales rep(Charlene) was outstanding. Go direct to her to get things done pronto. Good recommendations with no pressure for things we didn’t need. Paperwork is tiresome, surely as a modern technology company there are better ways of doing this?

Absolutely useless. My phone was stolen, so I bought another and went there for a replacement SIM. The consultant was Simphiwe. Tried every day for 3 days to get the SIM activated, but the phone still didnt work. She kept saying she had escalated it and to wait 24 hours.After 3 days I called MTN helpline and they sorted it out in less than an hour.

Waited for 40mins only to find out that the speaker/recording called my number which was B061, but it cant pronounce B so it read E061 whilst there are other tickets with E numbers. Only 5 consultants to assist at least 10 people in queue. Terribly annoying. One would expect better service at a branch like Sandton City

Excellent & friendly service received from Simphiwe Mahlobo at the MTN Sandton City Store. This store used to have a reputation for indifferent service but thanks to staff like Simphiwe, all bad image is wearing away now. Keep it up!!!

Wow wow wow!!! If you want to see Xenphobia in South Africa, that’s where you need to go. One of the ladies over there, bluntly told 2 French guy and a French lady to go and speak their language outside. She had an altercation with one of them and as revenge simply told them that if they want to speak in their own language, they will not be welcome in “her” shop. “Her”shop? Seriously? So on top of being overtly Xenophobic you also gets confused as to who really owns the shop??

Worse experience, after being told that the package we were signing up for included the data and phone that I wanted we signed, then start receiving 350 mb on what was supposed to be 15 gigs a month, went In to query and told were liars by Malome and his colleague Sonya, we were scammed by these people and they have the audacity to argue and Accuse of us lying when they instructed the package to sign for and provided other wise, he even forgot to rica and activate the SIM card for the contract ,I would never sign up for 350 MB’s but whatever to get the signature I suppose is their only agenda, after seeing these reviews I’m wondering how these people are still employed, stay away, contract cancelled moving back to Vodacom because of these scammers, will escalate further as fraud was committed,Saying a contract provides something that it does not is a lie and a scam and I will not deal with the liars and scammers at mtn Sandton city. The worst service that you can possibly imagine. They have a ticket service system which is a waste of time, their entire ethos is based on poor and pathetic service. Whilst waiting 50mins for no service all one could hear in there was customers complaining about them billing incorrectly. Clueless organisation. If you are not with MTN do yourself a favour and stay away, look at their 12 year low stock price and in conjunction with this kind of service- it all makes sense now.

How counter productive can a store be??? Stopping earnings is the most ridiculous thing for a business.This staff and store deserve a negative rating.

I did the whole application process,signed everything and was not given my phone. Then they tell me I need to cancel the application and start againAlready frustrated, I tell them to cancel.Today I get charged for a new phone which I dont even have and I call the call centre and they say it was never cancelled.I dealt with the assistant manager Charlene and with Thabo who was the sales assistance.I am extremely upset and disappointed.

The store is the worst level of service I have ever experienced in my life. I switched over from cell c hoping the process would be seemless, I was horribly wrong. I had to go to this store 5 sperate times to sort out issues I had with my phone, and every single one of these issues should have been resolved on day one had the person just done the application properly. Theyll promise to call you but never do. They duck and dive when they see you enter the store. Abosulte digrace.

Only rating it one star because theres no option to give it zero stars. The in store service is terrible and its impossible to get hold of this store over the phone. They never get back to you and they just make it impossible to get anything done. This stores horrendous service is the reason Im going to port every single one of my contracts to another network. Terrible representing of an otherwise good company.

I dont like going to that store because of the service you receive from the employees. They act as if like they are doing you a favour by attending to you. I dont understand why are there so many people on shift, who just sit, are busy on their phones and talk to each other, when you walk in they are not there to assist, instead they continue with their conversations. I didnt know that you have to take a ticket when you walk in, I waited hoping to get assistance but I ended up leaving the store without being assistant.

Went in this morning to apply for a new contract, as i needed one urgently. The consultant tells me they offline and will capture my application once they online and email to me for signature then forward for vetting. I hear nothing from them, i call in again around 11 I am advised that they are now online but still i have not received the application for my contract.

It has been a week since my contract was approved and I am still waiting for it to be put live (not sure of the correct terminology).I have phoned the store several times every day because the store does not bother to follow up on my behalf. The assistant manager does not even bother to return calls.I would never deal with this store again and in fact, I couldnt be bothered to remain with MTN.Clearly they dont need customers.

Dont bother visiting, this is a franchise store, meaning anything you want done is more hassle than going to MTN itself and they charge you for things that MTN will do for free. For example, as a contract customer, MTN will upgrade my SIM card to LTE for free, but franchise stores charge R130.
