Well, The Sandstone Restaurant,this is one of those hidden gems.Breathtaking view of the ocean and music playing in the background whilst you enjoy your breakfast.The T-bone steak was prepared as requested, the food was fresh.Man, check it out for yourself, you wont regret the trip to Saldanha bay.

Such a gem that we saw by accident after Slipway has closed down. Food was amazing and great service from friendly waitress and also got to meet the nice chef. Great place.

Sandstone is a hidden GEM! We had the most amazing time there yesterday, the small seafood platter is enough for 2 people (well priced too) the portion size is really generous, even though we werent hungry, we ordered more of the snoek springrolls. Yum, drool! Views to die for, lovely childrens play area and fantastic live entertainment. Superb West-coast hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Great views of the bay with a choice of seating areas from On the deck, to On the sand or a nice cozy spot on the veranda next to the fire place, which gets going as soon as the sun is about to set. The food is really good and at a good price. I have to add, the barman made one of the best Margaritas I had in a long time that would put a lot of Cocktail bars to shame. I definitely will return.

Great restaurant for the whole family. The food is excellent and very reasonable prices. Delicious milkshakes and coctails. They have a beautiful view with great music! I definitely recommend The Sandstone.

Mothers Day- we anticipated having to wait as we knew the kitchen would be busy, so had plenty time to sit and talk. Food was great, worth the wait and we also enjoyed the live music. Fortunately the weather was good - we sat outside on the deck.

I would give this place a negative rating if there was one. I decided to eat at this restaurant earlier today after reading some good reviews. However, my particular experience was HORRIFIC. Im actually DISGUSTED at the level of service to say the least. After being seated and glancing over the menu, my mind was made up within a minute about what Ill be ordering. I sat at the table waiting, waiting and waiting for a waiter to come take my order but at the same time I was observing what was happening while trying to get the attention of a waiter. Thats when I noticed that other patrons, who walked in and was seated after me, was attended to. Could it perhaps be because my skin wasnt the appropriate color? or perhaps I wasnt dressed appropriately for the waiters liking thinking I may not be able to give a tip? what happened to fairness? Shocking to see that the waiters at this restaurant rushes to attend to white patrons even though I was seated before them. I eventually got up and left. I wont step my foot in this place again and I will definitely tell others about my experience at this place.

Amazing food and milkshakes and service!!

The burger patty was great, however the plastic cheese slice was not.My daughters nachos were from a bag of doritos and the salsa seemed to be from a jar.

Fantastic setting with killer views of the bay. Food was excellent and well presented. Milkshakes were delightful and so pretty I couldnt resist taking a pic.Only negative was they let patrons to smoke at the tables under the verandah. I know its technically more outside than in but I still dont think it should be allowed. We noticed at least 2 other tables request to be moved as they were downwind of the smokers and the smoke was blowing directly to them.Barring the smoking issue we were very pleased and would definitely go back again.

It was my first time visiting sandstone in 7 years that I stayed in saldanha so I enjoyed very much with friends and the service was 100%

Real value for money. Burgers really tastes good....hmmmm....those huge milkshakes 🍧 never had the oppurtunity to taste one, but its on my bucket list ! Next time I visit there I am going to try one. Thank you to the owners who manage their waitresses to be scencere and down-to-earth. This is what WestCoast hospitality is all about!
