A hidden gem so worth the visit, great fresh seafood, beautiful views of the yachts. We were very lucky to see a mussel boat and talk to the skipper about how it operates. You wont be disappointed..... Forgot to take pics of divine calamari....

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. I would have liked more seafood options on the menu and more regular options on the kiddies menu. There was no kiddies burger, for instance but a kiddies steak... Sitting in the open area is lovely, with a beautiful view and the feel of the sea breeze drifting over you. Dont let the run down exterior frighten you away.

Freshly prepared food was scrumptious. The spices in my battered fish was delicious and chips was perfectly done.Views are great and a created a relaxed mood. Services was excellent.

Was looking forward of eating at Slipway Waterfront but I was so disappointed with the service amd it took forever to get our food.Such a great restaurant with lots of potential.

The setting of this restaurant is excellent. We visited the place quite a few years ago and pop in to a late breakfast. The food was ok and not expensive. The service was friendly. No baked beans though with the steak and egg breakfast. We were the only people there. The only comment I can make is that the outside seating has deteriorated. Tables looks tatty and the restrooms were stuffy.

We loved this rustic looking restaurant situated at the harbour. Just be aware that you pay R5 per car for entrance to the area. The food was freshly prepared and of high quality. Prices are very reasonable. This would have been a 5 star review but the calamari tasted like rubber in my opinion. Well worth a visit.

Lovely place to have lunch & have a drink

A surprisingly tranquil and efficient lunch outing with a great view. Service was good, apart from them not serving tap water and up-selling their branded still water. The food was good overall, crumbed mushrooms were terrible, boiled and tasteless. The ribs were excellent, if slightly over cooked. Best parts of the meal were the calamari and mussels. I’ll be back.

Food is supurb.......i wish more folk would support this small hideaway......right on the waterfront in the working harbour in Saldanah.....the freshest freshest fish ever.Prawns were amazing.

Nice view and polite service. Food? Smallest kingklip in on the West Coast, but good. The crispy chips were slap, like times before. Still a long way to go. Please try harder and make a jewel out of this place.

We had a great experience at Slipway Waterfront. They were a bit understaffed, but a big shout out to the barn man, our waitress and the 2 kitchen personnel. Our food was delicious, fresh and warm when we received it.

My dad had the fishcakes. Were good. I had hake and chips. Had better. Batter not crisp. But tasty.

Not sure if today was just a bad day, but service was bad. Restaurant had no mussels or prawns. People had to go inside to get attention of staff. When we wanted to order we we asked if the food was going to take long.Waitress was honest and said yes which I appreciated. Decided to cancel our order (we werent the only ones).

Not what you see on the photos of web page. Place is dingy and tables are falling apart. Very slow service. Waited 20min for a cooldrink. Then waited a further 1h20min for a simple hake a chips. Very disappointing considering the location. Peak December period. 2 waitresses serving a full restaurant! And the kitchen staff look like they belong on the beach. Shorts and slops! If they spent less time swatting flies they might be able to tend the grill. Never again!

Great Food and Great Service with the best view

I was so disappointed in this restaurant, they have a sign that says open until late however when my husband went to book a table for us he was informed that the kitchen closes at 4pm and the bar closes at 5pm, he asked about the sign and was told that it only applies for busy nights, my husband was doing a course and only finished between 4 and 5 so we were never even going to get the opportunity to even try the food. I feel this is an absolute inconvenience for visitors and that during school holidays. In the 4 days that we were visiting, they were not open past 4 even once.

Service time very slow ,we waited 20min for our coffee then the waiter only took our order , after waiting for more than a hour we were told the waiting time for food is 45min. Our food itself was horrible overcooked gilled fish and calamari. Never going back there!!

Tranquil restaurant on the docks, good food and friendly staff

Great little place to get the westcoast vibe! But be patient, service slow and sometimes they run out of stock...thus if you in a hurry or fussy about service and food, this is not for you. Bring patience along and enjoy the view and Westcoast culture. Food quality is very good!

We had the most delicious lunch. The service was excellent. We will definitely come again and will recommend Slipway to family and friends.

Nice. In the harbor

Very disappointing and sad. They used to serve one of the best mussel pots around but under the new ownership it is inedible! Totally over cooked and the worst sauce (flour paste) imaginable.

Not what it used be ....waitress messed up our order twice ,eventually the cook came out and it felt like we where to blame for the waitress not taking the order correctly.Still a beautiful location pity the food doesn’t hold up anymore ,chips were undercooked and calamari was not like it used be .

The menu is very basic but worth the money

Great location, great food, good service, good for kids. Had Dorado freshly caught and it was wonderful. Take small fishing rod with and use mussels as bait, kids caught small fish and very easy. They loved it.

This was one of my favourite restaurants. Under new management the place looks downgraded. The decor is very low budget. The toilets are broken and the place looks dirty.The food was nice and the view beautiful as always.

When you cant take the general bad service of the restaurants in Langebaan, take a trip to this restaurant to get yourself into a good mood again. It was excellent.

Great restaurant with good food and one of the best views when sitting outside. Overlooking the west coast ocean and Saldhana harbour with lots of small boats and yachts. Enjoy fresh sea food with a variety of good West Coasts wines. The restaurant was on our bucket list and so glad we went there.

The view and the food were both good , the calamari was a bit rubbery but the prawns were amazing. There is a bit of a wait time after ordering but it is definitely worth it.
