Sadly I have to cancel my contract with the courier guy because of the services offered by the Capetown department. I have not had any problems with the Joburg department for my takealot deliveries but every other week my orders have to get cancelled because the courier guy Capetown department never books my deliveries in time. An entire package will be recorded that its on the floor for over 5days. Sent a package from jbg to Capetown and it took them a whole week to get it delivered. And they only did so after I had complained. Im totally disappointed by how the Capetown department operates its a disgrace I wish I could rate it with a minus 5. Because every other week I have to remind them to book my delivery.

We will no longer be doing collections from our customers and delivering them back again, after 10 years of using The Courier Guy, in the last month they have damaged 2 of our customers gaming consoles and then tried to cover it up by putting them in one of their boxes so we cant see that they have been damaged!Now they refuse to replace them for the customer.We then sent the customer a replacement PS4 Slim console, and they have now lost that one too.Stay away from #TheCourierGuy they say they handle your package, yes they handle it very badly and you will probably lose your items if they do collect and send it for you.Or when you get it, it will be so damaged that you can never use it anyway, and then they going to basically tell you, it your problem!See the pictures below of how The Courier Guy will handle your package for you 😡The Courier Guy

Great rates & quick delivery times, but do not use, if you have fragile/ glass items that need transporting.According to their Ts & Cs they will never pay out any glass related breakages. I highly recommend to the courier guy, that you make this very clear and dont mislead your customers. In my case, latest at my first dispute, you should have told me, you will never pay any glass related damages. Which is fair, but you need to let your customer know before they spend 1+ Million Rand with you.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!! It was the first time I had booked a collection through them. I called the call centre and the lady was very helpful. She talked me through the booking process (super easy). I booked the collection yesterday round about 10 AM and they collected and delivered yesterday!!! It was a flyer and was reasonable priced at R103.50. Will definitely use them again.

I received a boxed package today. The box looks like its been through war, dented and bent out of shape. When the delivery guy opened the back of the truck you could see the parcels were just thrown inside and were moving all over whilst driving. I contacted the sender and this is definitely not the state it was sent in.

Reference TCG33268824. The Courier team managed to break a Teak Lamp pole in half and then blame it on the Packaging. If it was a scratch, yes i MAYBE would believe them but breaking a solid TEAK lamp pole in half takes considerable effort, and means that items were not properly secured while in transit so therefor the fault of the courier company. I will go out of my way to ensure I never have to use this company again.

This courier will damage the reputation of your small business.I have been using the Courier Guy for my small start business for almost a year now and I must say it has been one disappointment after the other with the Cape Town branch. From breaking my things, to no-show to drivers doing whatever they feel like. I have given them some months to improve because last year was difficult for all, but they continue to let us down. And when I call and complain, I only get attitude. The Cape Town customer service helper even yelled at me at one point and talks over me. This is so sad. I suspect they only really care about big corporate clients.

Send numerous parcel via the equestria depo and service was exelent and prices excelent , but used the express service last time , the express service charged us 3 times more than what we usualy pay at the branch , dimensions acording to them was bigger as exactly the same product that was usualy send from the depo , we declared a despute and was assured we will be refunded as courier guy will retake the measurements before the parcel is drlivered , courier guy did not do this and now they are saying that they will not refund the extra cost , after we gave proof of the measurements taken by staff at the depo 3 numerous times , and cost all 3 times was the same as also the fimensions , the last parcel we paid R1200 and previous times R350 , so somebody at courier guy express is incompetent and over charges clients

After using TCG as our preferred delivery partner for over 5 years, we have have decided to part ways with TCG due to a noticeable drop in their standards over the past 12 months.While engaging with their damage control manager to try and find out why so many of our parcels were being damaged lately, we were informed that it was reasonable to expect that a parcel should withstand a drop from 1 meter.Needles to say, we do not find this reasonable.

Ordered packaged to be delivered overnight. No call or apology to explain it will not be delivered the next day. When I call there’s a lot of finger pointing about its CPT’s fault not JHB etc as though they are not the same company. Just rude customer service. More interested in passing the buck than apologising, making a plan, or assuring the customer.

The Courier Guy has gone from being one of the best couriers to one of the worst. They absolutely destroy packages then will email you and say It is not courier guys fault when clearly they are the ones that damaged the packaging. When their drivers arrive to collect parcels they throw around packages without any regard to the value of the package.

I believe they only open accounts for certain individuals or companies. I had scheduled a meeting with one of the managers around my area which is Boksburg in April 2021 to open an account for my company. The reason we wanted an account we send courier to customers almost everyday. Because, I stay in the location, we decided to change the one on one meeting to discuss over the phone.Our meeting was for 14:30 that day. I never received a call to date. Maybe I dont qualify to be serviced by them.

Yesterday, i had the most wonderful experience with The Courier Guy in JHB - i was able to chat to the friendly agent who contacted the driver and provided an eta. This is the worst service I have received from a courier EVER! The box clearly specifies FRAGILE yet this box looks like it has been driven over by a bus. There are holes in it, the top wasnt properly sealed. And the fact that there is a fragile sticker crumpled up within the box proves to me that this box not only has been completely mishandled but it has also been opened and then closed again. Absolutely shocking! I would never recommend this courier to anyone EVER! And after receiving this service, I honestly believe they should be completely shut down. They have one job - deliver packages - and they cant seem to get that right. All you receive is a complete invasion of privacy and the remnants of your order smashed beneath a box which is no longer even a box but a crumpled up cardboard mess. As if things arent difficult enough at the moment with this virus, we are having to rely on couriers more than ever and you think they would take that seriously but clearly not. If only there was a 0 star rating, I would be giving that instead.

I have had an absolutely awful experience with Courier Guy. Parcels are never booked for delivery for Takealot and have been delivering late , Customer service agents have a disgusting professionalism, they take ages to answer their phones and when you request call backs they never happen. And dont even get me started on your drivers !!! The most rude and incompetent people I have ever worked with and have the audacity to tell ME how to do MY job. I do not know what is going on over there but you people seriously need to get your things together.

National service review, Great service BUT, recently my account was charged for a random package I did not send, this is not the first time this has happened, one needs to keep an eye on all deliveries when using an account. Otherwise you might end up paying someone else deliveries. I would give 5 stars, but this problem is really bad considering their status.

A parcel from Bloemfontein to Witbank. Told no overnight. Ok... delivering to Checkers Hyper an important parcel.Day 2 Im told the driver worked till 10pm and could not make the delivery, but will happen today. Called 4 times today to find the parcel. Told its en route. At 4pm Im told it will be there at 5pm. Doesnt arrive.At 6pm Im told the driver was there but no one home. I pointed out its Checkers they are delivering to. He said oh... let me check...20 min later Im still holding on then click. Phone goes dead.Called back... 30 min later someone very helpful answered. She tried very hard to fix the mess and agreed this should not have occurred. Someone picked up the parcel and is taking it there tonight (I hope).But this no one home is a cop-out. They never delivered...

Courier called me to go outside, then disappeared. I took 2 minutes to get to the gate. Called him, and he was next door for other business and made me wait for 15 minutes before coming back. Had a bad excuse, and not wearing a mask while yap-yapping in my face during the pandemic.

Employees not trained on how to assist customers. Overnight to them mean you send your parcel today and it will only be delivired 4 days later......... The best of all if you phone the branch manager they tell eish I do not know. This was the case with the Vanderbijlpark Store

I recently started a business and I needed courier services. I almost did not use the Courier Guy from viewing the reviews and noting their low score. Its 2 months in and I can honestly say that I am happy with the service. My parcels are picked up and delivered with speed. The drivers are courteous and professional. The improvement I would recommend is in communication from the company or response time to customer calls and emails. That is one definite developmental area. I am a happy customer so far and I hope to have a long ,relationship with the Courier Guy.

I ordered some meds for my Betta fish. They were supposed to drop my package the next day, instead they took it all the way to Middelburg. I then contacted them to find out why my package hasnt been delivered...they didnt even know the location of my package. They then rescheduled the delivery and again failed to deliver. My Betta fish died 6 days later and I still havent received my order. Terrible service!

Ive been using The Courier Guy for 2 months and what a pleasure it has been. The web application is simply amazing. Mistakes are limited as you have full control when you capture a collection. No more spelling every address out over the phone!!

My review is unfortunately not based on their services. Though, given the way that their drivers DRIVE, I will never use their services to be in a position to comment as such. I pass their Kya Sands head office daily around 7am every morning when their entire fleet embark on deliveries for the morning. I have never, in my life, seen such a large fleet with complete disregard for other road users. Every time theres at least two or three drivers that almost ram me or other drivers when the perade of 40 vehicles join Malibongwe drive, because they are in such a rush to get to their destination quickly...Terrible.
