As a lady who has lived here for 3 years I can honestly say that I loved it. I would however advise you to please take some time to come and take a tour of our residence before you judge it. I do admit that living in a residence does not suit everyone but taking a tour will be able to give you a much better perspective on whether you would enjoy res culture. The majority of ladies are very friendly and are eager to help.Also do not hesitate to contact anyone listed on the university website on our residence s page. Please remember that the name has changed to HOUSE Mags and this is what you should be looking for if you need are looking for more information.

Its been an amazing place. Its clean attractive and quite.

House Mags was my home away from home for 4 years. Neat and tidy with proper maintenance being done on a regular basis. Close to university and shopping centres and with only residents having access to the building and parking it’s a very safe option for student accomodation (if not the safest). Ma Maria is very friendly and always willing to help with a smile. I made lifelong friends here and would recommend this res to any lady studying at UP.

My daughters both reside at Magrietjie while studying away from home. It truly is a home away from home.

Easy access to everything, closer to UP campus and shopping center. Also high level of security during the day and night. Less than a km away from Steers, spur, McDonalds and other restaurant. The rooms are perfectly spacious also.

There are too many useless rules, most that oppress the residents
