Enjoyed my food tremendously. Never had Maize Balls before and it was really worth it! Enjoyed every minute. Music is nice and soft in background so you have the opportunity to speak with one another in a normal tone voice. Saw the Zebras grazing on the grass. That was an amazing experience.

The service is 5 stars and the food of exceptional quality. They even serve traditional south african dishes such as Maize Balls and Kaiings & pap. They definitely go out of their way to ensure their customers are happy.

A beautiful escape, hidden between bustling Pretoria East suburbs. We come here several times a month for a wonderful pause from the city madness. Consider enjoying the 4.6km hike before sitting outside under umbrellas or canopies, enjoying good coffee and great food with zebra, blesbok, springbok, impala, and ostrich often in view.

What a beautiful place and setting, I never knew that there is a big park like this in Pretoria where there is wild game that roam free. The restaurant consists of the original farmhouse situated in the park (reserve). We went to have their Sunday buffet, which was well prepared typical South African Traditional Sunday food known as Boerekos. The food was well prepared, tasty and delicious 😋😋😋. Whilst sitting some zebra came for a drink at the nearby fishpond. People also come and walk or run the trials in the park. Will visit them again soon.

Visiting Rademeyers were very relaxing and nourishment for the soul. Peaceful surroundings and opportunity to do a few walking trails or some scenic photography. The only criticism is that our food took very long to prepare (1 pizza) so giving it 4 starts for slow service. The cuppachino is very good.

I’ve went for a hike on two occasions in the last month or so at the Moreleta kloof nature reserve, and I decided to try out the restaurant with friends. We were attended to by a gentleman who I found out the second time on our visit that he’s called BRIGHTON, I postponed writing this review as I wanted to get his name. The gentleman gave us an outstanding service on the first occasion, gave us an even better one on our second visit, he was knowledgeable about the menu and everything, he was a humble and kind person, he served us well, 5 stars ⭐️ for him❤️

The restaurant was great. We sat outside which allowed us to view the sunset and animals. The food can take a while so be sure to order right away. However, the food was delicious, so it was worth the wait. There is a park and plenty of space for the kids to run and play. However, when it go dark we had to use kerosene lanterns which was kind of romantic, but they kept going out. Overall this place was lovely and would definitely come again.

This place is TOTALLY AWESOME - not just their food; although they lay-out an enormous feast on two-very-long-tables that reach from wall-to-wall - approximately 20-foot-tables on two-sides of the room. It is in a serving-room set apart from where the guests actually eat. The waiting-staff serve whatever food you want, as you walk down the tables edge. For example: their selection includes: hake, roast beef (which seems to be a favorite for Africans and some Americans - and the amount available to each guest is honestly enough meat to last for at least a week), and white-breast chicken in a Chicken-Cacciatore recipe made with onions, herbs, bell peppers, and a creamy-chicken-mushroom-gravy, which is NOT-TOO-HEAVY or THICK - rather it is absolutely DELICIOUS ! It was my personal favorite of all of the above. They have every vegetable, including an amazing beet-salad !!! That section of their table-display is TOTALLY AWESOME - VERY, VERY COLORFUL and INVITING. They also served pumpkin-mashed, Yukon-Gold-potatoes - small ones with melted butter, but still individual potatoes. Plus, rice-with-dried-tomatoes, and yams. They had plenty of 🥗 varieties from pastas to greens. 🍞 either sliced, huge specialty muffins in poppy-seed, blueberry, apple, etc., or regular biscuits. Of course, they had plenty of drinks, but their water was superior with 🍋 and a-bit-of-ice. Yes! Absolutely, the 🍞s had butter, 🍯, or jam to spread for maximum enjoyment! Now. this was one of the best parts: if you had a reservation, you could choose to sit inside in one-of- their-classical-traditional-rooms, or you could sit outside under one-of-their-long-umbrella-type-tables. The other choice was to sit on their upper deck, the same level as the serving-room. We sat outside on the deck! WE COULD SEE ALL OF NATURE at its BEST; plus, the performance was just down-the-stairs from where we sat, so we could see EVERYTHING on that LEVEL PERFECTLY and hear the music!!! I LOVED being out-in-nature, relaxing - not BEING-RUSHED-AT-ALL !!! The MUSIC was so DELIGHTFUL; I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! The singer had an enormously-gifted-voice and the accompaniment was exceptional, too. His choice of musical selections were superb!!! I feel like he analyzed his audience VERY WELL - his sweetheart came in during the last 30-minutes and sat next to us. She was a joy!!!I havent mentioned the dessert, but it was excellent. With the dish of vanilla-ice-cream, you could order a berry-mixture or a chocolate-sauce; both, were freshly made. I cheated and ordered a little of both - I wanted to TASTE each one. MIXED, THEY WERE TOTALLY-DIVINE. TO TELL YOU the TRUTH, I ATE the WHOLE-DISH-OF-ICE-CREAM !!! FURTHER, I havent ANY REGRETS about doing do.I admit however, that I still have food left over from the dinner, and I feel badly that I have not eaten it. Perhaps tonight ...At any rate after ALL of that, we changed our clothes, and went for a hike ALL AROUND for about two-hours. Again, we saw the impalas, 💓 beasts, zebras, fabulous-birds, and the MOST-AMAZING-OF-ALL, we WATCHED EIGHT-OSTRICHES NESTLE-DOWN-for-the-NIGHT, which was one of the grandest-nature-displays that I have EVER-WITNESSED. If YOU LOVE NATURE and ANIMALS in their NATURAL-SETTINGS, believe me - THIS WAS NATURE-AT-ITS-ROYAL-BEST !!!Rademeyers is the RESTAURANT at MORELETAPARK . They are an ABSOLUTELY-FITTING-MATCH. AS the OLD-VERSE-GOES: YOU CANT HAVE ONE WITHOUT the OTHER. Ya! YOU ARE RIGHT AGAIN; IT WAS FRANK SINATRA, that MADE THAT LINE FAMOUS !!!

Having been to a few places. I would definitely recommend this place for a outing. Clean and well maintained. Animals are everywhere and a great place to bring the kids. The dining venue is historical and catters to all needs. Die to time i could not wonder around longer but (WARNING) it is one of those places one gets stuck at all day long. Calm quite and very relaxing.Food and service was top class and they do cater all functions . Kids partys to. Fully stocked bar and prices are competitive but affordable. Definitely worth a revisit in my books.

Lovely place and setting. I think it is ideal for group bookings. I enjoyed my Pap & Kaiings but my friends dish - the special - Chilli con Carne nachos was a huge disappointment. We appreciated the good service from Milton. Bought delicious fudge and koeksisters from the Deli. We still want to attempt the walking trail. I think the dishes and drinks are a bit pricey. Not sure if well go back soon, but might try the walking trail.

DissapointedMy family and I were looking forward to visiting Rademeyers for the first time. We loved the idea of sitting outside surrounded by nature. Not very much to choose from on the menu , so we chose Chicken Snitchels and my son ordered a cheese burger. Worst meal we had ever had. Burger bun was so hard you could not cut it with a knife. Snitchels had no flavour not to mention the sauce. Not once did anyone ask if our meal was ok. We waited so long for the waiter to remove our plates that we stood up and went to go look for our bill. Maybe we should have just left without paying. The manager/owner saw us waiting but not once asked if he could assist.Spent R500.00 here and will never do so again.

Fresh air, opens at 6 am (if the security guard doesnt arrive late), beautiful sunrises, cool forests, lots of animals (impala, blesbok, springbok, tortoise, zebra, ostrich) that have become rather tame. A calm space with a bird hide, bathroom in the middle of the trail, well kept paths. The parking is safe and there are always enough other people at the reserve.

The setting is nice but I will not recommend the food. The chicken burger I had was the driest I have ever had and the chips were also not nice. The plastic container for the tomato sauce was quite grimey and not clean. The toasted sandwiches my family had looked very unappetising. They were undertoasted and looked and were also very dry and squashed so flat it looked like one slice of bread. One of the sandwiches also had the wrong filling than was ordered. Also, pse teach your chef how to make kaiings. Its not soft cooked pieces of pork meat, it is pork fat cooked until crunchy. No, I will not recommend anyone to eat there. Not worth the money spent. Very disappointing.

Beautiful venue and nice trails with animals, but the restaurant is tired. Our table had loose legs and two of the chairs I tried were half broken. Waiter also lied to us when we asked if there was a bathroom, claiming that we had to order something at the restaurant to use one (he claimed there were no other bathrooms on the property). Attitude clearly changed when we indicated we only wanted something to drink and not a meal, despite giving him a large tip out of sympathy for how quiet it was he showed no gratitude.

Were not too happy with the food. It was a reasonably busy afternoon for the only 2 waiters on shift. We sat on the patio which was quiet. I ordered the Rademeyers Burger of R95 (I think) which was very mediocre and frankly I expected better. The bun was stale, the patty was either frozen supermarket pattys but definitely not round, big or juicy. Rather flat and bland. The caramelised onion was far from caramelised, just sweated down. My caprese salad was nice except I got shavings of Mozarella cheese. For a caprese salad? Also, the oil o the table was vegetable oil, not olive oil. My husbands chicken Gordon blueu was good but the side salad was minimalistic. Hope they can pick up their game because the venue deserves better. I dont know if well be coming back though

Great for the photographers that are just starting out (70-200mm or even 135mm lenses are great to use in this environment. And ideal for couple shoots) and also great for those who like hikes. Even the most challenging trail offers great exercise and it is certainly a breath of fresh air.
