Messed up my application by supplying an incorrect dealer stock form. that resulted in me being approved for a completely different firearm, after waiting 126 working days for SAPS. I was initially told i could pay in the extra R3k if i wanted the firearm that I was just approved for... I had already paid for the firearm i wanted in full. The salesman I dealt with was adamant that it was not their error and SAPS should have picked it up, he would not accept that they made a mistake and was quite rude. Ignoring the fact that the 350 form they gave me had the wrong serial number. To their credit, i was eventually offered the rifle I had been approved for at no extra charge. I declined as it would not suit a left handed shooter and lacked many of the features of the rifle I paid for. They eventually shipped the original firearm I bought to my local dealer and I have had to start the entire licensing process over from the beginning. So it cost me 175 calender days + 30 days before they would respond to my emails regarding the issue, all the costs of licensing and storage with my dealer. This is my 8th firearm Ive bought in the last 4 years and by far my worst experience, would not recommend them.

I like this shop! Good selection, helpful staff (update us about Pieter please!!) But I have a strong COVID / Business suggestion:: Ramp up your website!! Whatever you have in the shop place it on the site AND / this is the key make the payments easier. Now I have a cart, then I get an invoice, then I pay that through EFT, then it goes out via Postnet, where the issues start ..... Rather have an online paygate with the EFT & Credit Card option where its paid, courier (of choice) picks and delivers. The system you all have is still pre COVID - COVID is now a new normal and MANY of your customers live in other provinces. This way, making it seamless makes it easy. Check out 247 hunters site and Camdix. One click, bang its on the way. That will be the new normal survival method. Otherwise you would have had 5 stars as your staff are great and your shop well stocked. I am not criticizing the old school way, just making a suggestion.

Best to come in to the shop as the online was not great (it took almost 40min to complete).The owner almost immediately phoned to find out where the problem occurred. He was very polite and took the time to listen to my concern. He apologized and said that he will address the problem. Despite not having the best experience for online shopping, the effort to correct the problem makes me believe that I would try them again.

I phoned three times to inquire over a special they were running on the Girsan pistol. I was told by Pierre on the Saturday that they were already sold out but that he would call the supplier and see if they could get another for me, which I of course really appreciated that they were willing to go the extra mile. I called the Monday morning just after 9 again and spoke to Anton who also promised me that he would follow up and let me know later the day as he seemed to not have been informed of my inquiry by Pierre. I called again at around 14h00 the same Monday and I cannot recall who I spoke to, but I left all of my details again and was told someone would get back to me. Its now Wednesday and I still have not received any feedback.I finally gave up and went to a competitor who sold me a Glock. Im not angry, just disappointed because I have always only heard good things of Zimbi and really wanted to do business with them. Also reading the reviews here the bad service seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Perhaps in the future I will buy ammo or another firearm from them and get to experience the superior customer service everyone else is raving about.EDIT: Alan got back to me yesterday and apologized for the mishap. They could still get me the firearm for only 150 more than advertised. Still an amazing deal but I have unfortunately already made another purchase. But taking the time to respond shows their commitment to good customer service.

I visited 2 gun stores today Zimbi being the 2nd one. The employees at 1st store were arrogant and rude and the whole experience was unpleasant. I then went to Zimbi where I was quickly assisted by Anton who was very professional, friendly and answered all of my questions. I also found their prices to be quite good and competitive compared to the other stores in the area. Would really suggest buying at them! I look forward to doing business here in the future.

Nope this shot went through the church and killed the preacher. Shop attendants are too busy with their personal stuff too assist clientsI walked in there with a poor mans budget of R5000.00 having checked their website. Nobody greeted me, I helped myself, walked all the aisles, collected a nice stack of stuff and quite a minutes later walked out empty handed. Oh there was one other client in the shop.The only person who made eye contact was the lady in the office who was on the phone the whole time.Hell they buzzed me in and buzzed me out so they definitely knew I was there.No problem the opposition a few clicks north had everything and cheaper as well. I even broke the bank and bought a R25k Scope. Im sure you all know of the guy who walked in to buy tampons and walk out with half the shop.Management buy your personnel some glasses or replace with people half the age.The name of the game is client service, thats the guy who is paying for the salaries and overheads, telephone and ohhh yes the bottom line, i.e PROFITSNice book collection btw ...
