I still dont understand how this office will decline to implement a court decision for curatorship, when all the required documents were submitted to court. Whos powers take precedence in this case? Why is it difficult for this office to communicate with family members than take a word of some whos not even related to the family.

Phones & emails not answered. Overcrowded, so dont want to go in if not necessary. Is there any other way to check if a Letter of Authority ha been issued? Soooo frustrated!

I reiterate that their service indeed doesnt deserve a star. If the goverment cares about the peoples dignity they will definately send a person to investigate this place. Its indeed heart breaking how they treat those in need of their help.

I had to go back 3 times when applying for the Letter of Authority. Being assisted by different people on all 3 occasions, all asking for additional documents. It would have been much better if I had a complete list of all required documents after the first time going there.

This is another one of those Government Departments with bad service, long queues and a unhelpful attitude. Spent 4 hours in line, requested to get the phone a number or an email address to do a query on a late estate. Was refused any number or email and told to get back in line and wait for assistance. Then they just walked away from me with no care.

The service in this place does not even deserve a star. What a pathetic guardian fund section. They treat people like we owe them while its our childrens inheritance. I know they not gonna do anything about this but Ill write this review anyway.I went in to request application forms I was told to que just to get a form their lame reason is that they cant give forms without verifying funds. What the hell does forms have to do with availability of funds.!!!!

My daughter school fees havent been paid up to now. Went there 5 times cleave in the East had to ask time off from work. They cut the queues whenever they feel like. You will swear this is a loan you came to borrow from them. Emails were answered but forwarded to a certain name for response and that person never responded

It is a terrible place to be,the lines are quick but I have to admit that Friedeline Strauss is the worst person to try and deal with, absolutely useless. The direct line is never answered or she says lunch from 10am-3pm,she never replied to emails no matter how often they are sent...going there is pointless because you need an appointment made with her but how do you make an appointment with someone who is never available. This is a inconvenience and disgusting service. Furthemore it makes me wonder if this person even exists or works here, however i have to give respect where it is due to the people behind the counters, namely the gentleman at number 33 and the lady at number 34.

The service is at most poor, there are a few individuals who actually do their work and if you lucky to meet them, Then you will get what you want. But generally the way they provide their services is very poor. expect to queue for at least 30 minutes and it can be up to 2 hours or more. For appointment letters there can be 20 to 30 people but only one counter open to serve everyone, and the same person who you order the file with has to go and look for it whilst the queue is getting longer and longer. As for calling the offices, that is a waste of your time, an average of 1 call will be answered on 20 calls that you will make.

Phoned early on a friday morning. Got answered within less than a minute. Got all the advice and service over the phone straight away (regarding making changes to a trust). Relevant application forms were e-mailed to us. Ms Molefe in the Trust department was a wonderful help and provided excellent service.

We queued from 7.30 am. then had to queue for 2 hours to get a survey form, when we eventually got to the estate controller it was 10.45 but was told to come back tomorrow as it is to late to assist...I sat a watched 4 people go through the estate controller after me.......my personal opinion is you are not black you will not be assisted.
