Good food. Good ambiance. Greeting was a bit lacklustre. The seating arrangements were very casual. Bar service left something to be desired. The garden was interesting. I would have liked a tour or some information on this fascinating venue. I like the new entrance and parking. Hope that this venue can grow in professionalism to become a destination in the moot. A beautiful, quirky venue. A real facilitator for the arts, especially music. Excellent food at excellent prices. This is one venue which doesnt abuse artists, but genuinely works with them and for them. A must to frequent.

Great ambiance... Really calm and relaxing. From the moment I entered it felt as though Im not in the city... Loved the food too.

This feels a bit more like an extension of someones home but its nice and open with a calm atmosphere. The food and dessert was really nice. And its an awesome place to go to with friends or a lover for live music with dinner.

George and his team really know what they are doing. The food is 5 star quality. They also have an exptional atmosphere that almost make you feel like you are at home. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

We had our 30 year school reunion last night. The manager was absolutely amazing, serving drinks, accommodating all of us very professionally. But the food was well below a average, in fact the worst 3 course meal I have ever had, at R250, and charging me R22 for a buddie coke and after I questioned the price was told to leave the restaurant. Absolutely shocking!! You have no idea chef how to serve descent food, your attitude was disgusting and I know a lot of people in Pretoria, big mistake, I will make sure word of mouth spreads about your absolutely shocking behaviour and food. Definitely will not be recommending Lucit restaurant to anyone ever.

Lovely art film viewings on Sunday evenings. Viewing starts at 19:30. Welcoming drink for R50 gets you in.

Great venue for a small intimate gathering. Beautiful atmosphere and outdoor space with gardens and water features.

A very quant and stylish setting. I particularly love the romantic grotto they have. coffee is good and breakfast is interesting. At first glance it seems basic, until you realise the great care taken to prepare. Bread is specially home made with interesting flavours.Atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. I highly recommend it.

Gideon is back! We attended a Jannie du Toit concert which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was secondary, yet suitable to be enjoyed quickly before the show.Well visit Lucit again!

Nice and unique venue but below average food complimented with poor service....Tips for improvement: get a front of house (Maître dhôtel) and some waiters. Also rather serve dishes of with less of a variety and of higher quality i.e. Dishes that are better looking and more flavorsome. Offer guests a drink once seated. Lack of parking.

Beautiful tranquil setting with water features around the venue. The Grand Piano you spot upon entering the dining area, made me very excited knowing that there is always sounds of music in this wonderful theatre restaurant.The accoustic is just musical in this beautifully styled setting.Staff greeting was friendly and homely and to me it felt like I have just been heart warmingly invited into someones home for dinner...but here you get dinner and a show. *bonus*French onion soup with the most wonderfully tasty croutons - two little buttons packed full of flavour. The perfect accommpaniment to this creamy soup. Not long after the first course, actually within perfect timing, the main course arrived - unpretentious yet marvelously presented Phyllo Chicken parcels or beef with a smoked paprika sauce, small rosti potatoes, dotted with a sprinkling of fresh herbs and a vegetable kebab, cooked to perfection. A few simple ingredients, elegantly presented, ticking boxes of texture, balance and flavour. While still talking about the little tang of the onion from the kebab, the show started - #DivaGalore, a Petronel Baard production - we laughed and cried and laughed some more, while Gideon was preparing the dessert.Dessert....oooh what can I say about the Red Velvet Cake - au natural - no colorant, only the earthy tones of the beetroot coming through with the unapologetic taste of chocolate. So light and fluffy and the perfect marriage to a cup of freshly brewed coffee.I loved every minute of my experience at Lucit. The staff are friendly and attentive, the winelist adequate and well priced. Good food, good music and good friends is what this artistic hub is all about. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. See you all soon.

Lovely place with beaitiful garden. Very tranquil setting. Some of the seatings are private hide aways that make it excellent for romantic settings. The food is top class and diffrent. The prices are very inexpensive. The staff are all very friendly and helpfull. Really an amazing little place that you have to go and see
