He would be a good dr if he wasnt as rude. Will not make use of his service again.

This doctor is rude and patronising. He is not keen to discuss valid medical questions in a professional and patient manner. Makes you feel like you are wasting his time.

He was so rushed to get as many patients in at one time as possible that he dismissed symptoms and simply came to a conclusion from an external examination. He was rude and hasty, will never visit this doctor again. Sorry we went to him.

I honestly wish I took to head the reviews that were written by others here. He is extremely rude, Ive never in my life met a doctor like this. He refuses to listen, patronising and honestly I think racist. When I expressed that I am getting frustrated as we seem to not be able to converse he said everyone is frustrated. Maybe he a knowledge doctor as others have mentioned but he an awful person with no people skills. I would not advise anyone to see him. I shook it off the first time but this was my follow up session where I was hoping to also discuss the side effects of the medication he has given as well as how they have negatively affected he said I dont know what you want Im shocked!

Unprofessional - very brusque and patronizing. Had a pap smear done and over a week later, was still feeling the discomfort. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr Joyce is the best GP we have ever had. He is caring, professional and always correctly diagnosed and helped us get better, and he always made time to see us at short notice if it was urgent.

I have been with Dr Carl since 2008 and before that he was the doctor for both my parents. He is top notch. What I like is his honesty and directness. No soft soaping. He may come across as strict, but it really is in your own interest to take his advice. He has guided me through some tough events and times. Be honest with him, tell him your symptoms and needs and I am 100% sure he will make things better for you.

Friendly and knowledgeable Doctor. He was very informative and assisted in insuring my script can go off my medical aid network list. Define value for money.

What a great Dr. My parents come through from JHB to see him. He has help my father endlessly and Im quite sure I wouldnt still have my father if it wasnt for Dr. Joyce.

I have no doubt in Dr Joyces knowledge or how good of a doctor he is, but to say he is a ray of sunshine would be a lie. Its as if he doesnt want to help you, how dare you go to his practice and bother him! Hes antagonistic and rude, he even asked me why I went to him, when I told him the other docters were fully booked, he replied that hes also busy. We used to use him as an absolute last resort doctor (in case its an emergency or other doctors are booked), but my son was sick so I didnt have a choice this morning, however after this I would rather drive further and see someone else.

Not so sure if patient importance is number one for them. Asked for Dr to phone me, Secretary bit of an attitude because I wanted to talk to him direct. Still no call back after two days.

Very mixed reviews, thats why i will leave a 3 star one i saw him the 1st time and he was reasonably friendly asked a lot of questions and gave me some antibiotics. NOW FOR THE 2nd visit, he was rude dident speak much just said, why are you here in a very annoyed voice, dident give me a chance to explain all my symptoms, and man handled my head like a rag doll ! and kept saying i said keep looking forward ( again in a very angry tone) , bit hard when he forces your head to a different position hahaha . but yes wont recommend this DR,

Dr Joyce is straight forward and gets to the point, he is knowledgable and doesnt prescribe medicine unecessarily. My husband doesnt do doctors at all and he loves Dr Joyce because he does what he needs to and gets u sorted quickly. I would recommend him.

The reception is mildly friendly which could be a bit nicer but the Dr is efficient and advancedly knowledgable which is the most important.
