Sister Khensani was rude to me. I was admitted on the 08 September and discharged 10 September. Dr Modau was going to be away on the 10 September so he prepared the paperwork including my medical certificate on the 09 September. He said I must come back on Monday to discuss the treatment. Dr Modua was still waiting for MRI results hence he couldnt discharge me he also wanted to do EEG if the MRI results are not clear. On Friday just after 12:00 I went to the nursing station to ask when is the Dr coming to discharge me. I also asked them to please call the doctor. Sister Khensani said We dont call doctors for patients, doctors come on their own when they are finished with their work she said it with an attitude. Nurses dont address patients like that. I asked them to call the doctor because I already knew that I was discharged and for that matter I did not even have a drip and I was not getting any medication from the hospital. There was no reason for me to be kept in hospital. Only at 15:20 I then called the doctors room I explained the incident. They were also supprised when I told about the nurses response. The doctors secretary came and spoke to me. I was told that the stand-in doctor was not aware that she was supposed to come and discharge me. If I did not call I could have spent a weekend in hospital without getting medication. I was officially discharged at 17:05 whereas I could have been at home at 10:00 or latest 12:00. My medical aid is charged for sitting and doing nothing in hospital on Friday because of rude Sister Khensani. This matter should be taken up with her HR manager. The hospital cannot afford to have a rude nurse. She works in ward 3. I was in ward 3 - G34. Please deal with her. I will never ever set my foot at Medforum I rather go to other hospitals where Ill be treated with respect.

The OB/GYN who delivered my little one was awesome. I cannot compliment the staff on the level of care they gave enough. It truly was an awesome experience giving birth at your facility and I wanted to make sure I was able to tell you all how wonderful it truly was. Good day 09/09/2021 from 12:15 pm -12:45 trying to get through to the hospital reception, I had to choose option 0 to get me through to Reception. (vaccination inquiry)1. Phone @ Reception rings twice and drops2.Or rings and kept you on hold for 10 minutes without saying a word then put it down.3. when they answered the phone they put me through to the wrong person atWard F @ 12:25 pm that lady was very, very, very rude she even put the phone down on my ears.4. I had to dial the number again and struggled to get through to reception (option 2), dialed again an chose option 0 where i always get help without 100 questions5. my last option was to call my brother ( patient) who recovered from ICU today and admitted to Ward F24 today to check if he is ok.this was a terrible service i had never experience in my entire life

Now that my aunt was here and questioning they tell us the dr didnt know he will come tomorrow, so I must spend another night without any care while they are charging every day, if you owe them R0. 50

Our experience at Mediclinic Medforum was so traumatic. My brother was admitted into Mediclinic on the 17th July with covid. It was like a kidnapping. We couldnt call the hospital because either the phone lines would cut out or they would put us on hold for an hour and we could hear them talking. At that point we still had contact with my brother through his cell phone. Thursday 22nd he was taken into icu and his phone was taken from him. I drove to the hospital and requested we speak to the doctor treating him. The icu nurse took our details, only when my sister in law took chocolates to them on Saturday did they pick up the phone and contact Doctor Maruti. Sunday 25th @11am she finally gets to speak to Doctor, all is positive. Sunday night we get a call that my brother has passed away apparently during shift change. All nurses are interested in is us filling out death forms....havent heard a word from doctor....so apparently covid gives hospital and staff the excuse to be inhumane. Just another dead person. That person was loved, had a family and a 5 year old boy. I know he had covid but he had no underlying conditions and I cannot shake the feeling that nobody in that hospital cared for him properly.... my dog was taken to Onderstepoort and I got feedback daily....so we have become worse than animals...and its a private hospital...Who do we speak to so other people dont loose their lives in this way....Soula Petoussis

My father has been in and out of hospital for the last two months, nurses refuse to clean his wounds (he is a diabetic and this can be very dangerous to his health) we provided the nurses with a written letter from a wound care sister that explains exactly what medication needs to be used, yet the nurses decided that Vaseline would be appropriate. My family and I are honestly very disappointed in the way they have treated my father, especially since we have been using this hospital for many years nowAs a diabetic he has a certain diet he follows yet the kitchen staff serve him whatever they feel like even when he clearly states what he can and cannot eat. The individuals that take the patients order do not ask the patients what they prefer, my father came out of surgery after not eating for a while and was served something he cannot eat, he then asked for plain brown bread and jam and then had to wait over 3 hours to receive it.( I would highly recommend that the hospital seek a new catering company as this company provides VERY poor service)As a patient with chronic heart failure and now kidney failure all we can do is hope that they take care of him and that he comes home safe.Small things like using the correct medications to treat wounds and feeding patients what they ask for or what they like makes a huge difference, especially to people that are sick.Im sure that my family are not the only ones who have experienced something like this.To the hospital management I would like to say, Please do better.. you have the lives of our loved ones in your hands.

I delivered my son at Medforum in January and had an amazing experience. It was truly a home away from home. Sister Silvia at the Labour ward was a mother. My husband and I never for a second felt alone in the process, she and Dr Dada were nothing short of amazing. She then left me in the capable hands of the maternity ward staff who were amazing as well. My son was well taken care of in the nursery, had one of the nurses teach me how to properly hold my child and how to breastfeed 😊Sister Katlego, sister Dikeledi, sister Gloria you guys are amazing. Its a pity I cant rememberall your names but it felt like I was taken care of by friends and family. The hospital was clean, my meals were brought on time ( I ate all day 😂), the cleaning staff were friendly and cleaned regularly.Dr Dada is heaven sent, the best I promise you!!Dr Hlatswayo and Dr Nkomo were so good with my son.Mama Silvia I really appreciate you, cant thank you enough. 🙌🏽Overall the entire staff ( including the lady from Home Affairs that helped with the birth Certificate and Receptionists) are heroes without capes.Giving birth during COVID19 is not easy but you all made me feel at home. This past weekend, I went with my daughters to Mediclinic Medforum to pick my wife and my new daughter. We waiting for 2hours to eventually get the doctor to come and get discharged. We were exhausted but excited that we forgot the stroller base, and bag with cash, and some valuables at the parking lot.On arriving at our home in centurion, we realised we had forgotten these valuables back at Mediclinic Medforum, which was 22km away. I tried to call the call centre, and every number but no one picked up.So I drove back to the parking lot. On getting there, I couldnt find the stroller base and bag. I then decided to look for the guards. It was a guard called Kobus that had taken the stroller and kept the items safe for me. I was so happy, I took the time to chat with him and also gave him some parting gift for his service. The take away for me was that Kobus refused to take the credit alone. During our chat; he emphasized the support he continues to receive from his supervisor (I forgot the name Kobus mentioned). I felt the supervisor has done a great job to be remembered at such a time.⁸

Took my sister for an MRI yesterday, she is disabled and in a wheelchair. There is no disabled parking and I was told to park where there were cones and a boom gate broad enough for 3 vehicles, take her out, go park my car in the basement and then take her to the MRI building. After arriving at the MRI building I found that if I was allowed entry through the cones I could have stopped right in front of the MRI building with the wheelchair. I was told that it was where ambulances would come through in emergencies, which I fully understand, but there was more than enough space for three vehicles and a whole empty parking lot next to the MRI building and more than enough space in front of the entrance of the hospital which could be controlled for disabled parking. After returning to my car I was given another earful by the security guard and saw another patient that was being dropped off in a wheelchair that there was no space for. The manner of the security guard also left much to be desired as well at the congested parking lot in the basement. Not a pleasant experience at all and would definitely not visit ever again out of choice. In todays day and age where even schools and restaurants have ramps for disabled people, it is actually totally unacceptable that a hospital does not have any.
