Ive been with Vermaak & Partners..feels like forever. My medication was changed and therefore had to visit them again this morning. Usually small things do not bother me...like the reception area not clean, people walking in and out where they are busy drawing blood (felt like I was waiting for the gautrain)...any case, all these things are part of life...BUT... the lady found a vein...Yeah right....then pressing on the needle (in your vein) to get more blood...well, never had this before in all my years of donating blood, etc...still I thought, yip, this is the new norm...when I really could not stand the pain anymore, I told her...she then took out the needle...wanted to do the cotton and plaster thing to stop the bleeding of the vein...dropped the cotton..picked the cotton up from the dirty floor and put it on my vein...I nearly had a heart attack. When I insisted on a clean piece of cotton...she was all sorry etc...THEN came the kicker...she THINKS that she did not draw enough blood, we must do it again...Nah, I do not think so...Will maybe visit them again...but will not allow relevant person to draw my blood again...or will just ask my dr to refer me to a different pathologist...this is not professional..

Like vampires, they take blood. Unlike vampires, they at least give you feedback about its quality. They are pathologists, what more can one say.
