Mac Lab: 30 mins to replace touch-pad and battery. iStore wanted 3-5days to do the same job...Mac Lab is just the obvious choice. I wont waste my time again even phoning iStore if I need upgrades or repairs. Thx Mac Lab!

Its rare to meet someone with such a passion for what they do, and to have such a great customer service, with incredible patience, detailed demonstrations & explanations of whats wrong and putting in the effort to help the customer. He gives you the risks, all the options and then recommends to you which option to take.He did all of this with my fiancé, and from my experience (working in a technical field) I could wholly concur that his advice with both accurate, and cost effective.Im actually stunned by how wonderful this entire experience was and how my fiancé could come back and explain to me in detail what was wrong and what they are going to do to get around it.You will not be disappointed.

Very professional service

I ordered a 2012 MacBook Pro, with 16gb ram, and a 500gb SSD from Ghervan. Was willing to pay his price of R115k because of his good reviews here and thought Id get a good machine and after sales service. Instead, I got a broken machine that randomly shuts down, battery failed within a year at only 160 cycles and was delayed or ignored each time I brought up the need for a refund.The way they fix issues is disappointing. I sent them the error code for the laptop shutting down but for the first 2 times I brought the machine back, they either left the machine alone to see if the issue pops up again and did nothing.The fixes they come up with just take your machine backwards: They fixed the shutting down issue by preventing the MacBook from sleeping at all bringing down the battery life down to 1 to 2 hours and then telling me to just keep the machine plugged in and use it that way. Horrible customer experience- I ordered a laptop and paid top dollar for a 2012 macbook pro, not a desktop that needs to stay plugged into a drip.My refund request was ignored within the first few weeks (well within Ghervan and Mac Labs policy)Less than a year in, the new battery drops from 60% to 3% in a minute at only 160 cycles. Again requested a refund via every contact method- my refund request was ignored again, only to be told theres a 6 month policy. When I confronted Ghervan and showed that I did request a refund within 6 months, I was just ignored again.Bad deal. Bad customer service. Over paid R11500 for this MacBook Pro. Poor value laptop. Poor customer service. Low quality fixes. Not professional with dealing with returns.
