Quiet little restaurant in Glenfair Mall. Coffee was very good and there was very friendly service. We had toasted chicken mayo with salad - delicious.Prices a bit high but all and all a very delightful experience.

Disaster.... We waited for 45 min for breakfast. Then the order was, also wrong. The portion size is absolutely pathetic. Cocktail tomatoes that are cut in slices. Feta cheese one had to look for. The mushrooms were a joke. About 25 thinly sliced. Food was cold. Training and supervision is desperately needed here. No manager there at all all. Wont be going back.

I have been supporting this restaurant since its inception in the Glenfair Centre in Lynnwood. Although the service has always been questionable and sometimes amateurish, I have endured it because the food was quite good, while the prices are very reasonable.Today, December 3, 2019, however, is the last time I ever set foot in La Cucina Cafe in the Glenfair Center. Pathetic is not the correct word to describe todays service.I made my usual order for a Cheese Griller Breakfast. I assumed that I would wait a little longer than normal, as there were more people than normal. About five tables were occupied. The waiter brought me coffee and I waited .... in the end I had to wait more than an hour while watching how various other tables got served with people who entered the restaurant long after me.When the waiter finally served my breakfast, the toast was rock-hard and cold, the butter (in a bowl) was still frozen, the fried eggs were hard (I asked for medium fried eggs) and the chips were hard and drizzled from the oil.And there was no bacon on my plate! When I called the waiter and inquired about the bacon, he looked at me like I was from another planet ... without an excuse and without saying a word.I asked to receive a bill for the coffee, which I had already drank an hour ago. After paying the R22 (!) for a cup of coffee, I left La Cucina Café in the Glenfair Centre in Lynnwood forever. Never again! To top it all, there was no manager or owner on duty with whom I could discuss the matter. Just a bunch of waiters who stood in the corner looking at me like I was the one causing the problem!Like i said, pathetic is not the correct word! I only give it one star because a lower option is not available.

Went there today with my daughter intending to get coffee and cake. No cake in sight & its weekend.Ordered sandwich and coffee, but the smallest sandwich ever.Coffee good, waitress friendly, but service bit slow, although place wasnt busy.To be honest, a bit disappointing.

Very bad value for money. We visited the restaurant this morning for breakfast. The coffee was good but the breakfast was terrible. One very small slice of tomato, two 4cm sausages, 2 very small pieces of bacon, a teaspoon of chopped mushrooms and one slice of toast without butter for a neat R70-00. Definitely no comparison to the pictures on the menu. No manager available to raise our concerns. You will never see us again!!!

Less than enjoyable experience. AFTER we had already sat down and AFTER we had ordered something to drink, we were forced to move to another table because that specific table was already reserved. The service was exceptionally slow, it took close to 10 minutes to get three bottles of water. When the food eventually arrived, they only served two of the three meals we ordered and one of the people in our group had to wait an additional five minutes to get his order. Lastly, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a chicken parmesan with tomato sauce which was nothing more than a fancy name for a crumbed chicken with raw diced tomato on top and some hardly noticeable traces of something pretending to be parmesan cheese. The side salad was a few chopped lettuce leaves with ONE black olive (cut in half to make it look like more), TWO transparent slices of cucumber and ONE thin onion ring. Despite taking long to be served, it seems that this meal was put together with much haste, no love and no effort whatsoever. Very, very disappointing indeed.

Terrible Buffet breakfast. Food is almost tasteless and very slow service. My toasted bread was always cold and there was no manager on site to take my complaints. Stay far away from this place.

So far. So very good. Under new Management. Food was awesome. Service was very friendly. Service was just extremely slow though. Breakfast was cold due to no heating element. And waitress forgot our coffee order and asked me again what it was while i was busy eating with a mouth full of food. All our food done. Still no coffee. The table accross from us came in after we did. And they got their coffee ages before we did and paid their bill. Im giving 4 stars due to the food being very good. Service being very friendly. And their home made bread with Marmalade Butter was unbelievable. Its like pudding. The place is also very beautiful and clean. And we did get our Coffee eventually. It was really delicious coffee. So yes. I can recommend them. Just remember. Dont be hasty. Be calm. Be relaxed. You will be waiting a long time. If you are in a hurry go to a drive thru.

Disasterous,!!!!!! Coffee tasted like dishwash soap BECAUSE Cups was not rinsed properly! My Tea had exactly same taste so did the cream which distinctly tells u the cutlery was not rinsed properly! The breakfast FOR THE PRICE PAID was a teeny pinky size sausage. The funny looking splat i found on my plate was what they call Haloumi !!The toast was bite sized. No never again ! Walk on by people.

Shocking! Absolutely shocking. Don’t bother. Most tasteless food, and had to wait over 30 minutes for a toasted sandwich that was absolutely disgusting. The size of the breakfasts were dismal to say the least. Waitress was friendly enough
