Bad service. I came to upgrade and i was told I’ll need my ID and proof of res. So i went to the nearest atm to retrieve my bank statement. I then return to the store and i’m told that they cant help me cause they are closing in an hour. It was Saturday I arrived at 15:30 they were to close at 17:00. I was furious and i just couldn’t believe what i was told. I had to go to Woodlands and i was happily assisted there.

I would like to warn everyone dealing with Menlyn iStore. I bought an ipad pro from then. On Tuesday 8June 2021 I ordered the ipad 11 inch, the latest one that was supposed to be the 5th generation. On Thursday they phoned me to say it’s in store. Then they sold me the old ipad 3rd generation, i asked them several times how do I know if it is the latest one they showed me photos on the internet but neglected to tell me that it should say 5th generation on the back of the box. I wasn’t comfortable with their answer and decided to play detective…. Today (sunday) I went back pretending to want to buy and asked the assistant how do I know weather it’s the latest. He showed me in settings it have to say 5th generation. I’m am really not happy about this. They deliberately try to mislead me. Be aware before you buy anything from them

Visited the store today to buy a gift card and was really disappointed with the service. One consultant at the door and two speaking to clients while the rest go shopping in the mall and then go and do something in the back. I waited for 20 minutes at the counter and then just left. Im sure there must be much better iStores out there who are more client orientated.

If there was a zero they would get it!!!This stores has got double standards ,staff so unhelpful. Came ons Sunday 21/02/21 and staff member inform us that we need copy of id and proof of residence. Drove n 120km today again today to do the upgrade and today they the original id because they need page 3&4 of id document!! Sorry we have done a few upgrades in the past and never was this the case!! The criminals has got more power that normal citizens of SA!! Staff members not helpful

We proceed to go to istore Menlyn to upgrade the business contract. Firstly, a waiting period of 3 weeks for stock to arrive. On Saturday, the 20th of March at 16:30 we were added to the queue to upgrade the MTN contract. We were inform of a waiting time of 45 minutes to an hour. 45 minutes later, we were still in the exact same spot in the queue. So we went back to the store to enquire about the delay. Only be find the person at the front door tell another client the same rehearsed story, and were ask to continue with our patience. At 17:39 we received a sms and told that we could go to the store to finalize the contract. At 17:40, another sms came through saying that they tried to contact (which didnt happen telephonically as stated) and that we missed our appointment. So as we get back to the store for the 3rd, we ask why the appointment was canceled and it was said that it was canceled by accident, but no attempt to contact us and correct the error was made. A consultant said that the MTN representative was in the bathroom, no problem. Upon his arrival, we got told that they were offline and unable to assist with MTN. Which makes no sense as we told them from the beginning that this was our intention? How can this store get this process so completely wrong from start to finish? And still be told, we only have 48 hours to collect the phone or it will be taken off reserve. Nothing short of inept and continued inconvenience caused by trying to achieve something basic. Unfortunately I cant give less than 1 star for todays service.

I walked into the shop and found not one sales consultant on the floor . I waited around to be helped . I spotted the manager behind the computer . After a while a man walked in and a sales consultant ran to him . At this point I walked to the manager and asked if someone can help me . He responded with β€œ SOMEONE will help you . His elbows on the table and lying on his hands . No eye contact , nothing . His attitude is astonishing . This is where i asked him who is going to help me . He looked up and said someone will help me . I had to make such a scene for someone to come and help me . Fortunately Dumi came to help me she was friendly . The lady who ran to help the other customer also had no respect for the customer, she did not greet or ask what she could help with as she was taking the iphone charger off the hanger she turned her back on me . The manager has a really bad attitude . This must please be investigated .

Quite Disappointing, was looking forward the whole day to upgrade to my new Iphone. Arrive at the store 1715 to be informed that they close at 1800. I state that i am aware. To be told it takes longer than 45 min to upgrade to a new phone. Honestly it has never in my life taken that long to upgrade maybe 30 min at the longest. Rather than just we dont want to help, they say something ridiculous like that. They definitely do not aspire to give the same service to their loyal customers as Apple USA. They clearly do not understand that people using Apple devices are willing to pay the premium which apple devices cost as they want the whole experience that come with owning a Apple device.

Closer investigation by my service provider showed it was done fraudulently by staff at this iStore. Tried getting hold of the manger without any success even left messages with Apples central call centre to have the manager phone me... and still no response. I find it unacceptable that i have no option for getting this phone fixed in ZA (aside from 3rd party stores that cut corners). I am a senior citizen and visited the I store Menlyn on 20 July 2020 . I had a problem with my email on my iphone x. There was long que and when I was nearly in front i got tired and fetched an empty available chair sice I had a small operation and got tired. A vere rude whit male i store shop assistant came to me and told me to get of the chair immediately because I am not allowed to sit down on the que. the chair was ment for customers purchasing new products.He took the chair away. I then sat down on the floor. A technical guy then came to my assistance and apologised for what happened. Behind me was another senior citizen which said he would think twice coming to the menlyn store again. i think I would also think twice because the main object for MENLYN I store is selling products and not service. i am considering after 15 years to change to another brand.

Service is extremely slow and sometimes even non-existent. Product knowledge is lacking. If you return something that you purchased because they couldnt tell you if it will work or not, they charge a 10% handling fee. First time in my life that I experience this. I do think think Ill ever go into an Apple store again.

We had a bad experience. We had an employee sell us a phone. It was his first sale. He messed up and sold us the wrong phone, so it had to be refunded. After this he brought the wrong phone again. It’s frustrating, but we understand it’s his first sale. But the other employees were absolutely not helpful. Every step took super long, because no one wanted to help him. We then waited over 30 minutes for him to come put the screen protector up and after trying to get other employees to help (got only β€œsympathy”), we decided to leave and put up the screen protector ourselves. After an hour in the store, for one purchase.

After driving up and down we sent someone yesterday to make sure everything is order and we can come collect the phone (as we live 50km away) they assured us that we can come collect, we then drove all the way there just so that they can tell us that the phone is sold and the is system down! The store is very disorganized. There is no manager walking around to let you know where to queue. There are so many work stations - why not organise them properly and put signs up? Waited 1hr45mins just to get the phone reset. The people working as the tellers also have to do other tasks such as putting phone covers on for customers and preparing contracts so had to wait 25mins just to pay. Since the phone was bought on contract through vodacom and not at the store we had to pay R200 service fee. Seriously?! Its still an apple product. What a great way to say thanks for being brand loyal. Rather stick to Android. You dont have to deal with such rubbish. Only good thing I can say is that the staff that helped us were friendly.
