I was degraded and humiliated by customers outside because I am apparently poor because of the car I drive! None of them were obeying the law by wearing masks. The woman that was calling me words I refuse to mention, name is Charmaine, but luckily I know the law so I took a photo of their cars no plate. Already layed criminal charges and opened a civil case at SAPS.

They have stools, tables and drinks nothing more else to say

I always enjoy shovels. For a pub their food is top notch. Beer is a bit expensive but nothing ridiculous. The bar ladies are always very friendly and the staff in general does effort to make you feel welcome. Even the manager/owner is friendly and welcoming.

We go there for a certain platter and it never fails to deliver. The staff are awesome and we always have a great time. Pub fare and drinks your thing. This is the place.

If you are like me from a small town then you will feel quite at home at this bar.

I have always had a good time here. Drink prices are above average, food is absolutely great and very cheap for what you get. Great local watering hole.

Havent been there in ages. Had a T-bone and chips today. Still the best pub with an ambience in Pretoria by far. And you can play pool, listen to good music videos and watch sport. Highly recommend any time of the day. Youll be spoiled silly!!!

Shovels is a great hidden away place that offers great food as well as a wide selection of whiskeys. Its great place to meet new people or just to pop around for a drink

Never been there but I live just over the road from it and they do not consider the people that live in its close proximity. And no consideration at all for the noise that comes from there either. But I am led to believe that there food is very good.

Theu were closing as we arrived and the people looked at us like we were aliens landing. Sonit seems mostly locals hang out there. The criteria foe becoming local is still remains unknown and unexplained to me.

Small, cosy pub, with style and culture. Pretty barmaids that will choone you stukkend if you are not friendly; but the service is great and still done with a smile. The food is great.This is a place for a real kuier / hanging and drinking with friends. Remember its cosy. It may remind you of some small British pubs you have visited before.
