What a disappointment ! The doughnuts were stale, the slice of cakes were bone dry!The only good thing were the bread rolls that were fresh but rolls are very small for the price.The shop is very expensive R51.00 for a slice of cake then it’s dry.I will not be back!!

Delicious freshly baked German bread and pastries

Love this place. They have a large variety of fresh cakes and German Rye breads such as Berliner Landbrot and Krusten Brot. The price of these loaves is rather expensive but they remain fresh for a long time. The bread is also very filling and last longer than normal bread. Their breadrolls wre always crisp and fresh, unlike those soft and mushy ones that one so often gets in our supermarket. A real priviledge to be able to buy such wonderful rye bread even though we see it as an occasional treat because of the price

The quality of produce is excellent and fresh, never disappoints. Eclairs a bit too sweet but its a win every time!

Drove all the way from Hartbeespoort to try out their goods, unfortunately my wallet was stolen yesterday and I have no cards to pay with. Luckily, they have a card machine with which I can use Samsung Pay on my phone by simply tapping my phone, something I have been doing everywhere recently, especially now that my wallet was stolen. The lady behind the counter however, told me that even though they can tap, the owner doesnt allow it. Very disappointed, drove all the way for nothing.

Popped in at this bakery yesterday just to buy 6 sesameseed buns. R30.00 for 6 buns is ridiculous!!!!😵 It wasnt even fresh. Sad to say but they wont see us again. Will rather go down the street to buy bread at Spar.

I havent eaten such good bread and rolls in Germany for a long time :)

For me as an Austrian, it was pretty crazy at first to suddenly find myself standing in a German bakery here in South Africa. I had heard stories of National Socialists who had fled to South Africa, so I didnt feel very comfortable here. But it can be natural that these are German immigrants from earlier times. Bread is definitely edible here. There is also a German butcher shop. Quite crazy, but worth a visit just because of the weird feeling.

I drove extra 450km to Pretoria to pick up my order, all good, bread tastes, Bretzel u. Rolls super, next door is the German butcher, had cool box here and have diligently shopped. Will come again.
