Springs branch, we celebrated a engagement and the service was bad.We were 25 adults and 13 children, the adults finished their food and the children had nothing yet(Mikes kids party). There were only one waiter. They even added a 10% on the cork fees. When my wife queried it and the manager was very rude, they eventually refunded the money.Can not believe they do business this way. Will never support any Mikes Kitchen again.

Great food and great service. Kids can play forever under friendly supervision.

Was really impressed with their menu, very different from other Mikes Kitchens that Ive been to. The chickens wings couldve been way better, taste wise, but the friendly service and knowledgeable staff more than made up for it

To Whom It May Concern,I wish to formally complain about our family experience on Saturday morning, 10th Nov, at your Lambton branch.We decided to go to Mikes in Lambton for a quick breakfast as we were hungry and had lots of errands to do.When we got there, around 10:30, we were greeted at the door and we chose a table in the restaurant. The table was not clean and we asked the usher to have our table cleaned. She said she would arrange for it to be cleaned and that our waiter would attend to us.After waiting close to 10 minutes, having not received any attention from anyone nor having the table cleaned, we asked a waiter to help us. He said he would get our waiter for us as we not seated at one of his tables.Shortly after that, our waiter came and apologized for the delay and quickly cleaned our table. It was almost 11:40 and we were not given a breakfast menu, we asked for breakfast menus and our waiter came back with them.We then ordered, 1 Café Latte, 1 Irish Coffee and 1 Oreo milkshake. Now the long wait and frustration began. WE got our drinks just before 11am, nearly 20mins wait, I found this completely unacceptable. We then ordered our food and told the waiter not to take as long as he took to bring our drinks, he assured us it wouldn’t take as long.By 11:30, not seeing our waiter since we ordered we asked someone to call him, when he came he said our food was on its way, another 10 to 15 mins went by before our food arrived.Both my wife and I joked that our food better not be cold. To our horror, it was cold, ( 1 jalapeno burger and 1 bacon/avo burger) my son also had the jalapeno burger and just ate his, the only items that were warm were the chips and onions rings.WE immediately complained that the food was cold, again our waiter had disappeared so we called the usher and told her our food was cold, she apologized and took the food away. The manageress and waiter soon came and said they were not sure why our food was served cold but would quickly sort it out for us. A manager also came to our table and said he would personally oversee our food and make sure it was done correctly and quickly.We waited again for more than 10 minutes, we got our food and guess what? Both plates were cold again, this time my burger, ( I asked for it to be done, medium) was so rare its was basically raw. The manger came back to ask if we were happy and we said no, but by this stage we just wanted to eat and leave.But after a few more bites, we both just could not eat what was served. We sent it away and asked for our bill.The manageress quickly came to our table to try and explain that they had a large party table and the kitchen was very busy. I asked her what happens when the restaurant is full? She couldn’t answer me and just said they she would not charge us for our burgers. We didn’t go there to get a free meal( which was inedible anyway).We left the restaurant, annoyed, upset and starving.This is by far the worst experience we have had in any restaurant and felt it needs to be taken further. How can a restaurant get a serving wrong and then get it even worse on the second time?I would like a response from your customer care manager or whomever needs to take care of this complaint.RegardsMr Tony Moreira

Dear Sirs,For your consideration I have compiled a list of unpleasantness at Mikes Kitchen in Philips Road, Boksburg on Saturday, 14 April 2018 from 2pm to 6:30pm:My son and I attended a birthday party there and arrived at 2pm. Half an hour after arriving I was not still not served with a menu or a waiter to take a drinks order. I then called upon a waiter who happened to walk past the table, his name being Sherlock and ordered drinks.An hour and a half later I had still not been served with a menu to place a food order and mentioned my unhappiness regarding this to the waiter.My son being allergic to dairy, I asked for sorbet as a dessert or waffle or anything which does not contain dairy, however I was told by the manager and the waiter that they dont have anything of the sort although the sorbet is on the menu.My son then had to sit around a table with nine other children all enjoying their ice cream whilst he had to sit and watch.The ladies room had no soap or paper towels during my visit.The children at the party then received a party pack from Mikes Kitchen containing a packet of Nik Naks and a sucker. The Nik Naks was stale and had an expiry date on the packet being January 2018.After being there for four and a half hours which I would not have done if it was not for the fact that I was attending a birthday party, I left, still not having received a menu to place a food order.

Horrible experience, had to wait over an hour for our food!!! Dont come here hungry.

If youve got kids forget going to those clichéd places like Papachinos or Spur. This Mikes Kitchen on Main has a huge entertainment area for kids (indoors and outdoors) with a large restaurant that can accommodate families. And if you dont like the noise and bustle of kids and families, the deck area is far enough away on the other side of the restaurant to have a quiet, cosy meal.The food is also excellent with a really huge menu filled with unique, original items that distinguish it from other franchise steakhouses.

Never had such bad service in our lives. Our food was cold, and not what we ordered. We waited 30mins for a plain cold drink. The waiters are so rude and unfriendly. They dont even know how to use a card machine and mixed up our bills. So dissapointing...will never go there again.

Spectacular burgers and deserts. Really enjoyed them.

I was here on Mothers day 2015. the place was a full house as it was a special day , I think.Yes, some waited for their orders under the circumstances. I enjoyed the food and am planning on going back.Thanks for the service.

On Saturday 13th September, I had lunch at this branch of Mikes Kitchen and suffered food poisoning. I was very ill throughout Saturday night. On Monday 15th September I phoned the General Manager of the branch, Peru Viljoen and laid a complaint. He undertook to investigate the matter and contact me again. He has failed to do so.

Love the food, good atmosphere and excellent kids facilities.
