We visited the restaurant yesterday and had a very disappointing experience. Let me start by saying the food is amazing and of a very high standard. The decor is also world class.Our visit here was unfortunately spoiled by the rude and unfriendly staff. It does seem that the management of this establishment is a bit lacking and the staff are not taught how to make guests feel welcome. The staff made us feel like we are intruding. The staff seemed to be unhappy and having serious discussions with each other around every corner, almost like they were fighting. Even though this is a high end restaurant always make your guests feel welcome , be friendly and ask them if they need anything or would like to order anything.We spent a large amount of money and should leave feeling great and positive. We won’t be back unfortunately.

Had a delicious breakfast at Vistas and the view out over the town is lovely. Really nice and strong flat whites.

The spa facilities and staff there were amazing!! Norma from reception was very nice and made us feel very welcome and was the only friendly face we saw at the resturant.... the accomodation is a 10/10 and spa facility!!!Breakfast took 1 hours and 30 minutes to come out which was ridiculous. The waiters were not friendly and quite frankly did not know what was happening half the time when we had questions. The supper the night before was terrible, overall rating on the good and service is a 2/10 and the only reason I would not come back is because of the food and the service we got from the waitresses.

I won a couples spa which I had the absolute privilege to take today. I am single, so I decided to go with a friend. What a joy! We were treated like royalty from the get go. From pedicure to full body hot stone massage to facial to Indian head massage... It was our first time at a spa and we loved it. Included in the package, we were also treated to lunch and cocktails. Delicious! And the view is absolutely devine! 5 star treatment.

We had our hostel dance there in 2018, wow!The venue is really cool. The weather wasnt nice, though, so we had to stay inside.The venue is really lovely and I wish I couldve seen it during the sunset and stayed a bit longer.

The view is amazing the food is meticulously prepared. The service (waitresses)could be better however the manager always provides excellent service. Definitely worth the money

Its a beautiful place but i wasnt happy with the food...we went there as a group and ordered same plates of food but was served different portions of food...i had a burger with 1/4 of a burger pattie in it and it was dry

Coming from the Western Cape were spoiled for special occasion eat-outs and Vistas is on par with the best.

A well appointed Hotel and Spa, Modern, well manicured gardens , clean the staff are professional, food excellent top notch. Rooms AC modern, flat screens, Pool, ladies bar well worth staying if you want to get away or passing through or just in the area. Recommended lovely.

An absolute Jewel and perfect highlight for anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a special somewhere for an event.It was a relatively smooth drive from Johannesburg to Potchefstroom where the Feather Hill Soa, Restraunt & Boutique Hotel is situated. Had it not been for the fact that my partner was competing in the SA Powerlifting Nationals we would never even known of this area let alone this gem of an establishment, and boy are we overjoyed we have. From arrival to departure every single staff encounter was met with a professional courtesy and every request a genuine determination to have it met effortlessly. In other words, nothing was a problem and at no time were we made to feel like we were putting anyone out or being difficult. Big thank you to the chef and staff for, for despite their big “Jazz & Gin Night”, ensuring we were catered for with our “off menu” dietary requests, setting a table up on our balcony away from the set crowd booking - this was due only because of said partners competition being following day. Our request too to utilize the spa, again explaining that my partner needed to she’d just those tiny extra kilos for the next day .( ie sauna and steam etc) was met with a “most certainly “ getting the manager to make sure it was set aside for our use and everything was switched on and operational.The night after he has competed, as we were still booked in the hotel AND booked for the restaurant, staff we hadn’t yet encountered were asking how he had done at the comp and we were amazed at how genuinely attentive everyone was.What else was incredible was the food! Amazing ! My being a vegetarian and requesting the chef to mix up the couple of veg plates on offer wasn’t an issue and hungry man stated that the beef he inhaled was in fact the best he’s had since being in SA. Absolutely done to perfection full of flavor and tender as.Our only disappointment was that we had hoped to stay on one more night and though the staff tried to make this happen, fully booked they remained, so after a friendly call up to us to inform us that we could catch breakfast - which again was out of this world, with my partner having 2 dishes! Another statement being that the French toast was fabulous - yes even better than mine !We’ve travelled quite extensively throughout many countries around the world,staying in quote 5 star hotels, many of which don’t rate nearly as high as I rate this one. It all comes down to genuine real, customer service that’s followed thru on and results delivered .A huge thank you to everyone for making our stay seamless and trouble free.

This venue is out of this world beautiful 😍The chapel has high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers with a backdrop of the horizon.The hall is very spacious and allows for ample tables and setups. There is a cash bar and dishing area, a large kitchen and patios for smoking guests.The Hotel is ultra modern, And fulfills ones every need for a overnight stay or a break away from the city. The hotel borders the Spa which also looks very inviting, unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit. Oh and let me not forget the spectacular 360 degree view of Potchefstroom and the surrounding areas.

A absolutely beautiful boutique hotel, jam packed with art and extremely aesthetically pleasing. The restuarant was truly a delicious and special experience, you can tell the chef’s take pride in what they create and succeed in seeing customers extremely satisfied. Living in the lap of luxury, is what I would call it. From outstanding service to luxurious rooms. It’s home away from home, but better.

We had spa treatments at the new revamped spa and it was lovely. One recommendation would be to have some water available in hydro area to drink.

Very good facility with wonderful breakfast. A somewhat remote location with tricky access after hours.

Their website is a blatant lie to the public. We went to view our room prior to our stay and it was stocked with the Kalahari products, it was polished and clean. When we arrived these products had been removed and replaced with a cheap bulk bottle all guests have to share and it appeared as if the guests before us had only left moments before. This was meant to be our honeymoon. If you are tempted to stay here....DONT!

Sunsets are breathtaking. Ostriches and kudus on the farm are nice to look at. Service is decent. Beautiful in late spring.

We went to Featherhill spa just 2 days before my wedding as mom and daughter for a last breakaway after all the stress. Unfortunately we were very disappointed since there was spider webs in many corners not much to say for a 5 star venue.we asked for special drinks to be put in our mini bar,the waitress only brought it after dinner the night at that time we didnt even want it any more.tea light candles were put on the steps to the way of our doors but were net lit.they did no extra effort for a bride to be,not even a freebie bottle of champagne or some treats in the room.treatments were good but the sound system was off so there wasnt even some nice tranquil music to listen to.The jacuzzis werent that good since plastics was loose and was was under maintenance and couldnt be used.The general idea we have of a 5 star spa is not at all what featherhill produces.Danel Janse van rensburg and Dee Janse van Rensburg 23 October 2014

Both Garmin and Google Maps take you to the back side of this venue via dirt roads. You end up at a locked gate and that result in you being late for the function as you now need to go back to the tarred road and drive around. The owners of this venue know about the problem but does bugger all to solve it. Shame on them!

We did not have a good experience there at all. Place was full of cobwebs in corners.Our rooms sink did not work Spit floated on top of the water all evening after brushing our teeth.Our drinks we ordered extra the waitress only arrived after dinner and then it was too late. The jacuzzis plastic was broken and one was out of order most of the day. They put ticks on stairs but were never lit.There was no music since the music system was off As a result, you had to listen to the blast of therapist above you with full body massage. We felt it was a lot of money to pay and not at all up to standard for a 5 star place. Plus it was as bride to be me last time together as mother and daughter and they did not make any effort at all even a glass of champagne or chocolates in the room.We were very disappointed.23 October 2014 Dee and Danel Janse van Rensburg.

I have been attending the place since 2011I thought I surprised my parents with the night spa package of R4300 and it was the biggest vout oit .. for 5 star as they call themselves.Where can I start ..As a client since 2011, the feedback from my parents has been very disappointing.1. When they got there and went to the room there was only 1 bathroom rope- that my father had to get off and sit and wait for the msagers or to bring him one while the other people watched him sit there with his colors and me mom with her bathroom rope. wow certainly not the masseurs fault, because they are used for everything there.2. They could not even get a chance to relax a bit in the so called complimentary hydro and relaxation area because they were so rushed and then it is also mentioned that they want to complain.3. Then the funniest thing is they call themselves a 5 STAR ... but when my parents wanted to drink something then there was nothing in the fridge in the room - they probably had to drink from the tap.4. Then the bath - My father wanted to relax in the bath - when he opened the tap there was not even hot water - and the water was so little he could wait for an hour before the bath was probably half. then he climbed out rather, and went to shower and wow then there is plenty of water and hot water. can you noual it complain imagine ......6. I do not know if they OIT replace their sheets, but if they go look the sheets have holes in- sure because it is so old already. Pathetic7. And then their dirty jacuzzi pipes that run out from under the dining room tables ...8. Then why are their massage staff used for everything - to carry food and everything ............................... .................................................. ........9. their gardens look pathetic grass is not mowed. You can see that nothing is inserted10. The massages were not the full few as they put in ().Advice is people do not go to the place- you are going to waste your money they have down grades. I could have let my parents go a better place in fourways for the sele price.Thanks for making my parents night fantastic.
