Best tranquil place eva. Giraffe walks are amazing, call Craig.Its a must do

We booked the giraffe walk last Sunday with Julian and what a truly amazing experience!! The game drive was fab, Julian is extremely knowledgeable and great fun, plus we got to see lots of giraffes. Perfect!!

My goodness such a treat!! What a beautiful place to spend a few days- so much love & knowledge was shown and shared by Peggy & Craig, cannot wait to go back!!!

Out of this world beauty, offering an all round experience of nature and activities and the combination of both. One of the most beautiful places in South Africa, boosting some incredible wildlife and natural beauty. Residing in the Swartberg mountain range this place is a must visit. From amazing waterfalls with Black eagles nesting on the cliffs to walking among giraffe on foot. Definitely going back again.

We loved our time at Swartberg Game Reserve - truly a little piece of heaven.Craig has an immense knowledge of the area and all of the wildlife within it. We spotted so many animals!Peggy is super organised and such an accommodating host.Well be back soon!

Had an epic weekend exploring this beautiful game reserve in amongst the mountains, had the place all to ourselves. Thanx to Craig the host for making it one to remember, well be back for sure.

Unfortunately there werent six stars on this rating, but if there was id happily give it to them. Top class experience, service, knowledge from the guides and the unmatched scenery. Ill be back again.

We spent two really special hours being driven by Craig around a tiny portion of the 7000 hectares in the Reserve. Unlike so many Safaris where you find yourself in a convoy of trucks, we were the only LandRover out there which made it particularly magical. The variety and quantity of game we saw far exceeded our expectations, including pronking springboks , Cape Zebra, and really close encounters both with buffalo and a beautiful group of giraffe. We were even lucky enough to see a Courtship dance with two Blue Crane, something which Craig has only see three times in the 20 years he has lived on the Reserve. Ironically though, another of the real highlights was Craig himself. His knowledge of and passion for the Reserve and its animals was infectious and the simplest questions would be answered with really clear and comprehensive answers. He seemed to take a genuine pleasure in sharing his knowledge and we felt that we had engaged with his re-wilding project rather than just being passive observers. Add to that his charming personality, and it was a late afternoon we will treasure for a long time. Utterly brilliant and great value for money.

This was such an amazing experience with knowledgeable and very friendly guides and to get so close to the Giraffe was really an once off experience i would carry with me for a long time! And as a bonus we got to see a heard of buffallo aswell up closeThis is a definite must do if you are in the area!! Thanks again guys it was magic

We had a wonderful experience in this reserve, even tough we booked the tour on short term. Our competent guide and CEO of the family run reserve, Craig, brought us to diffrent animals and beautiful scenic points. He had a lot of knowledge to share and you could feel his enthusiasm for the wildlife. Deffinetly worth a visit while in Oudtshoorn!
