I love giraffes, so to be able to feed one was a truly awesome experience - and warranted my five stars.Stayed for lunch at the restaurant, which was great - we sat on the deck, saw Sheila and a number of boks and enjoyed the ostrich burgers with beers.

We went there for our Easter Holiday. We were a family of five and we were well accommodated.The food was on point. The service was great. We enjoyed all the activities that they put together for us which included giraffe and elephants feeding, ostrich riding, the cango caves, camel riding, the khoisan trail and the picnic in the wild.Our toddlers are still talking about the brown house ( the log cabin ) that we stayed in hahahahahaha. They enjoyed the animals coming to visit us at our doorstep.

We had an alarm right outside our room that kept going off. When we called to ask for some assistance, we were told thats they way it is and nothing can de done.

We did the giraffe feeding and was an amazing experience. Up close and personal. A must.

This was an engagement gift to myself and my partner. We drove here for an over night stay. When we arrived we were welcomed with drinks and sat beside the giraffe and then shown to our accommodation. We had prior communication from. The lodge asking what we would like for our evening meal and if we would like this under the starts at our tent or in the restaurant. We were both very impressed by the customer service before arriving and when we arrived. We were made to feel at home when we got there. We had our meal which was amazing. We woke up early to. Enjoy the game drive that was put on by the lodge. This was amazing and the game driver was very knowledgeable. We came back to have breakfast and then got to feed the giraffe. So many special little touches and nice little memories that we will cherish. Thank you once again.

Its a beautiful place. Our cabin was lovely. Well decorated. The only thing to complain about was the blocked drain in our shower, so the water couldnt drain away. The shower head squirted water everywhere other than our actual bodies. I think for a 4 star lodge, these aspects shouldnt be a problem.

We rented the house just off the lodge, its amazing the road out to the house is a bit bumpy so best if you have 4x4. You are literally out in the middle of the wild with your own pool and very lush interior. There is wonderful outdoor fireplace to spend your evening. The greatest part is the isolation the stars shine brightly in the evenings and is a amazing experience. To add to it all there are plenty of smaller game roaming around the outside of the house.

Best service we have ever experienced. Thanks to the friendly staff, they made our stay extra special.

Take the kids for the giraffes theyll love it. What an experience to be able to feed and touch these gentle giants. Shorty and Sheila love the attention. Spent about 2 hours with them and kids didnt want to leave

We did not stay over but came to look at the ostriches and got to feed a very friendly Giraffe. My children loved it and the staff are very friendly and helpful, thanks for the ride.

We had a breakfast here early morning to taste ostrich egg and feed their two giraffes, Shorty and Sheila. Staff was very happy and hospitable and the experience with giraffes totally worth it. The breakfast itself was a bit on the small size though

Fabulous wildlife experience in the Karoo, especially with giraffes and ostriches. Stunning scenery and beautiful tent accommodation makes for a romantic atmosphere. Johannes is always attentive and makes one very comfortable. Definitely worth returning even if for a day visit. Best viewing was a family of giraffes in the wild.

Very friendly staff (including giraffes) and they all went over and above good service when our 5 yr old daughter tripped over and went to hospital! Food was lovely and everywhere was clean and tidy including our tented chalet. We will definitely return and looking forward to another game drive

Went for lunch to the restaurant, cant understand why they dont exploit the restaurant section of the business. Food was mediocre. Did love getting up close to the giraffe.

I feel robbed, after paying R2490 for the night, we opted for the honeymoon tent, assuming it would be secluded as I would expect a honeymoon suite to be,it was not.Arriving at the lodge we were greeted with some orange juice, a good start , we were led to our accommodation which was unfortuantly a sauna,one would expect they would air out the tent for arriving guests, esspecially since it was so hot that even the soap in the bottles was hot, and it took a good few hours for the aircon to cool the room enough so we could be comfortable enough to lay on the bed after our 6 hour drive. The food was extremely disappointing, it was bland , tasteless and looked like dormatory food, and would not spend the R250 per person that we spent. Considering my fiancee has dietary issues and the carpacio was actually a salad with 3 small pieces of carpacio, and not ideal for her, it was a let down. Unfortuantly it was the only tasteworthy item, I suggest you give the food a miss. The breakfast was not much better and old cheese and rubbery eggs was just as bad. Also no jam so maybe bring your own.I would suggest also bringing some ear plugs as our honeymoon tent was next to a family with crying children and we could hear everything so not much of a honeymoon experience.....The honesty bar was a nice gesture for beer drinkers, but a gin would be nice though, their main bar is also not well stocked.We would have liked to have fresh cold complimentary water instead of the 40C bottled water that was actually filled with tap water, we were informed we cannot drink the tap water ....The game drive is disappointing too, we are accustomed to nature and seeing animals so May be it would be okay for tourist who have never seen any wildlife before? The guide was friendly and had some nice jokes but some information wasnt factual.I would rather have the game drive a optional extra and the accomodation at a lower rate.Really not what we would of expected from a 4 star lodge

We stayed in the luxury tents for a few nights. The tents were very nice, with everything you can need. The staff were very nice but a bit disorganized. Food was average for dinner, but nice breakfast. The downside was the game drive as we saw very little both days.We had an issue back home and they were very accommodating and we didnt have to pay the night that we have to cut short, so thats really nice customer service.

Found the tour of Chandelier to be different to the other ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn. More focus on the animals and breeding process than the products produced. Restaurant served good food.

Its a small very cute private game lodge. You must meet their resident dog who is a giant hulk. And Shortie, the sweetheart. He is more a loving dog than a giraffe, the most adorable creature on the planet.

We only went there to see and feed the Giraffes as it was on my wifes bucket list and she has never seen one up close. It was very cool to feed them and they are such gentle animals it is amazing. The one was very greedy tho haha. It is a must see.

If you are a light weight and fancy an ostrich ride, you wont be disappointed, however if you want to get up close and feed giraffes those memories will stay with you for a long time.The Chandelier Game Lodge is a well frequented game lodge in the Karoo, enjoy the experiences and treasure the memories.

The place and service are great. We did the romantic dinner in the wild and highly recommend it as girafes came to see us during our dinner! The personnel is really nice and always helpful! And dont forget to feed the girafes which is a unique experience for the kids and the adults!

We loved the luxury tents and game drive (mostly antelope), but very hot when we were there in mid-summer. No air-conditioner or pool.

The bush lodge we where allocated was deffinitly not a 4 star as adverised. Entire lodge is not well maintained , we had nails on the outside deck sticking out all over . Not a pleasant experience. Feel sorry for tourists that pay the high prices.

We were welcomed with the following, we are talking about the guests who havent checked in Gwens welcome was done. No explanation of the facilities was given, the outstanding balance invoice was stopped under my nose. Afterwards we were shown to the tent which would be our sleeping place for the evening and even before we could reach the door we were curtailed by the previous guests mattresses and bedding which stood in front of us on the veranda and displayed. I do not understand at all what the problem is that we did not arrive there early enough to the receptionists sense, as it was very clear to the welcoming mattresses, the dirty fridge and accompanying wooden shelf in the bathroom and the lack of shampoo, etc., that they were not ready to receive us at all. After my husbands unhappiness roaring to do, our receptionist left without a word. No visit or call was received from management, although we later phoned to confirm that we were not going to have dinner at the lodge, we were, by the way, understood that you will also not go on the game drive. It is very clear to us from our era that this institution is still trying to ride the wave of a good name that has long existed,

We stayed in the tents. These were very well equipped and it was a great experience. At breakfast you can watch the two giraffes up close. Sometimes even closer than you think ...

Oh yes ... a lot has to happen to make it attractive here.The animals (oh, its just a giraffe) and fish are neither worth seeing nor in the right environment. The tents are well equipped, but there is also a lack of motivation to renovate.However, the evening meal was really good! The staff was always friendly!But give yourself a jolt and do something with the thing, for so much money it has to be good for the animals - and for the guests. It doesnt do either of these at the moment.

We spent three wonderful days in the lodge. Food and accommodation were as promised on the pictures / website. The highlight is Sheila the giraffe, who stops by in the morning to greet her and positions herself like a diva for the photos 😉

Bell interaction with ostriches and giraffes ...we are really not in a zoo .... But a real farm that takes care of the little orphans (Giraffe) ...Do not hesitate..

Beautiful surroundings and wide views. Beautiful spacious cottages with everything included and hotel service. Even wifi while you dont expect it. Great food with a view of giraffes. Nice game drive that is included. The ostrich farm is also educational and fun for the children. Good breakfast buffet and involved staff. The only thing missing is a swimming pool. Rating: 9

The nights in one of the tents at the lodge was a great experience and something different 😄The highlight at breakfast is certainly Sheala, the giraffe. You can also feed them and even pet them. Our kids and we were blown away.Both breakfast, lunch and dinner were first class.And such a friendly and courteous staff I have never experienced. A really great team and thanks again.The game drives with Marcel and Jean have always been fun, exciting and interesting. The two made that really great. We took a lot to show and tell.I would book again anytime. It was just great!

We booked the Giraffe Experience which we can only recommend! It is a unique experience to feed the giraffe (only Sheila is still to be admired, Shorty is no longer in the enclosure because of the size) with the bottle to feed. You can also watch and take photos of the giraffe, but in the shop there is also a kind of dry food to buy. The enclosure is huge, on the species-appropriate attitude you really do not have to worry.The food in the restaurant is also good and not too expensive. We can recommend ostrich burger, cappuccino and milkshake!
