We had a friendly welcome by the owner himself, as our first visit to the place and he explained us how everything works.... we had a ball of a time and our 4 year old boy totally enjoyed himself to the brim... thank you Wilgewandel for making our stop memorable and the melon jam I bought to bring home is Divine

A wonderful surprise when on route to Cango Caves. We made sure to stop here on our way back and it was great. We enjoyed the camel rides, zip line and the petting zoo. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were well looked after. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a big green garden area, ducks and peacocks walking around freely. Highly recommend for families, great for kids

The venue is awesome for kids with so much to do. Everything is really reasonably priced. The staff is attentive and extremely friendly. I found a great price with value for money. Boat rides, peddle cars, trampoline, donkey cart rides, train rides, camel rides and more. They also have waterslides that open a little later in summer. Would love to try those as well.

On your way to Swartberg pass and Cango Caves. Want to refresh yourself and get away from the city and traffic. Wilgewandel is perfect in every way. Enough activities to keep the kids busy while you enjoy yourself with a cup of coffee. Something for everyone in the family. Very nice place to visit. Youll experience farm lifestyle in advance. The camel rides are amazing.

Stopped for lunch and had a very good meal. Prices extremely reasonable and service excellence. Stop to visit the camels and if you like you may take a ride on one. Lovely playground for children.

Excellent place to keep the kids entertained-Camel rides, Pedal cars, Pedal Boats, Target shooting, Trampolines, play area and animals to see and Feed.Tasty and well-priced menu and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly.The staff assisting the kids were all really patient and amazing!A must visit for anyone in the area!

Pleasant surroundings, good food and prompt service. Our daughter spent at least 2 hours with the animals, long after the feed bucket was empty. Great joy.

Good food and beautiful piece of paradise, we stopped for lunch after cango caves and before going up swartberg pass, a definitely must when in this area especially for kids. They have lots of kid friendly activities. Im giving 4 stars because their food is just shy of being on par with Ostrich farm cape town

Wow wow wow! What an amazingly awesome place! While accommodation could be a little better, like some hooks and a bit more space the hotel was lekker! The view every morning was epic and the deck, as well as having a pool and other facilities. Waking up, having some coffee then showering and saying hello to the camels and other animals was amazing. Breakfasts were very good and milkshakes to die for. The staff were the best ever. So nice and friendly. And the prices were very good and all the activities were incredible. All in all an amazing place and would go back there any day. A must! Thank you, wilgewandel.

This is a must visit if in Oudtshoorn. Beautiful grass area, dam with ducks, camel rides and a wide variety of animals. And bonus, amazing place for lunch and they even host kiddies parties

Good concept for this area, order at counter restaurant with an array of entertainment for kids, including zip line and camel rides. Very close to the Cango Caves. The owner is also very friendly and attentive. Will recommend you stop for a rest and a meal should you ever pass by here to visit the Caves.

Lots of activities for the kiddies! Very nice toddler play area as well. Didnt appreciate that the donkeys remained attached to the cart the entire time. Seems a bit cruel and although they were stood in a shaded area, there was also no water or food for them. If it werent for that i would give them 4 stars.

Beautiful place, really friendly people and amazing views in Oudtshoorn. Its probably the first or second closest accommodation to the Cango caves as they say. We were offered the bigger suite 5 or smaller more modern number 8, and chose number 8. It overlooks a stunning field with the hills in the background (posting that pic here). Book with them directly if you can. Only reason I misused a star? The water slides was one of the main reason I booked there, but they didnt allow my kids in there because they couldnt swim. Whats the point of having a kids slide, but with a deep pool? We at least managed to have fun in the regular pool on the other side of our rooms, which again had areas too deep for the kids.. but were allowed anyway.. I dont get it? Still had so much fun, breakfasts were awesome and they were really attentive, friendly and helpful. We also fell in love with a grey tame tabby cat there that decided to visit us each evening.. which we thought belonged to the owner, but later found she didnt.

Its in great condition! Played puttputt, food was excellent!! We all ordered different food and all of it was completely unexpected! Proper hidden gem! Looking forward to more camel rides!

Close to beach and lake. Lots of restaurants and coffe shops in walking distance. Big park in front of resort for kids to kick balls around. You can order salad etc for your braai.
