Very nice and cozy, enjoyed outdoor shower especially at night watching the sky. That was an exciting experience. The food was excellent. This is steak rapped wit bacon 🥓and a salad

Pathetic ServiceI called numerous times. Made a booking. Sent an email to request an invoice to pay in advance. After multiple phone calls, WhatsApp IM, and emails. I never received an email. This establishment must learn to not make promises they cant keep.

Pleasantly surprised, could not find accommodation and tried Ebony. What stood out is the amazing atmosphere in the dining hall, excellent food from start to finish. The staff were polite and professional. Ive been fortunate to travel extensively in my career and to find a Gem like this is a rare find. Highly recommend and will be my new spot to visit each time Im in Mthatha.

One of the most decent restuarants in Mthatha, I live their Thai seafood pot and their red velvet cake is great.

Nothing much to share, the place is very quite and clean. I just enjoyed their Big Boss breakfast.

Very serene place. The food is great at the Ivory Eatery which is at the lodge. Recommend it.

Great ambience

I would never recommend Ebony to anyone. Firstly we booked a double room and the bed was small and uncomfortable. The room was definitely not worth what we paid for. Secondly I forgot my AirPods on the bed and only remembered them when I had already checked out. I called the following day and was told that the cleaning staff will only be in after 9am, I subsequently called back after 9am and was told the cleaner who was allocated to the room we occupied was running late and was not in yet. I then received a call from the receptionist after 10 and she indicated that according to the cleaner no AirPods were found in the room. This can’t be true because the evening before I slept I explicitly remember that I had placed my AirPods underneath the pillow. Honesty seems to be lacking among staff member but they claim to have a policy that talks to items left behind by guest showed be handed in to reception. This is truly disappointing!!

The food is amazing, especially the desert Malva pudding the best in Mthatha... cocktails are great too...

This B&B didnt meet my expectations. Noise level from other rooms was easier to hear. Staff frendilyness & professionalism was none existent

I had a very good experience. The people was kind, helpful and friendly. I felt safe in my room and the premise. The restaurant on the premise was nice and the food delicious.I will strongly recommend them to any traveller especially ladies.

Very nice place to stay over. The staff and Management go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. the food is great and the breakfasts that they packed for us were extremely well thought out and well packed. We left at 6.00;am.

Centrally located in Mthatha. Lodge has a very safe environment with safe parking for a vehicle on site. A very clean establishment, with rooms offering television and satellite as well as lockup safes, but sadly not very geared and prepared for people staying over week ends. On both days on the weekend I stayed there was No breakfast and it was BIG let down. Had to make arrangement at SPAR to get snacks

Very nice rooms and, swimming pool and there own restaurant that stays open till about 10 at night so yiu can always have a drink or something to eat if you feel like it. Food is also very good.

The food served from their very cozy restaurant is amazing!!!

Sadly was very disappointed with the accomodation. Was booked in Ebony but was placed in a venue next door. The bed was terrible you sink right in and hit the springs. The TV reception is so poor you might as well not offer a TV. The entrance carpet was not in the cleanest state and the broken wall heater and cracked walls added to the poor appearance. I hope management will take the time to rectify these and more shortcomings.
