Why close at 17:00? Pathetic. Business must be booming to close at that time. 15 families buys supper at minimum R200 a family between 17:00 - 19:00. You make an extra 3000 for the day. Great business leadership during a pandemic must say.

We had the Hawaiin and Regina pizza. They were tasty and well prepared. We enjoyed the thin base. Take away preparation took 20 minutes. There is some really taste looking chock brownies and Apple crumble we want to try next time. The restaurant has a nice view and is centrally located. Prices are reasonably.

Conveniently situated in Hartenbos Seefront. Partially overlooking the Ocean. Neat and clean venue. Wide variety of well-prepared, scrumptious meals and cakes served in reasonable time. Capable management. Well-trained, helpful waitresses. Very pleasant experience. One of our favourite dining-out in Hartenbos.

Usually great food and service, today the food was great, but the service slow

This little hub is a gem. The food is always of excellent quality and the value for money is priceless. The coffee is great and the service is very good. Friendly and eager to help. Always busy and during peak seasons it can get a bit crowded, but it is worth it. Keep it up.

Large variety of good quality, delicious food. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. Also conveniently located in the Hartenbos Seefront.

Wide range of specials for the holiday season which was great, however staff werent able to keep up with the large amount of customers. The milkshakes and smoothies we had was good, however waited quite some time to be serviced and to receive our orders.

Friendly staff and great food, definitely worth a visit. Can get a bit busy at times, but it is worth the wait.

What a wonderful little peace of heaven.I an understand why people stop here and have a cup of coffee ☕ and a muffen.The bakery fills you up with nice warm thoughts. All the cakes just waiting to get sliced. And then a full menu of what ever you would like. Even stuff like Babotie en old favorites. Well its difficult to decide and describe.Do yourself a favor and go to this little shop, and you will be amazed.O yes, and its near the sea 🌊!Keep up the good work.

Extremely poor service. Dont bother ordering anything from them. We ordered a couple of breads from them for Christmas - when we went to pick it up on the 24th, we were told, by a very snooty waitress, that they didnt have it, as the baker didnt pitch. They didnt even bother giving us a call to inform us to not bother wasting our time. So we had to spend the afternoon running around, trying to find replacements, instead of actually spending time with our family.

Great coffee, bread and overall service

Staff are friendly, shop is clean and the smell of freshly baked goodies fills the air. Pricing is fair and view not too bad. Coffee is great too!

Great coffee and large portion of food. This place is a great value for the food they offered. You can probably take half of the food Ginger for a second meal. The service is friendly and they have a generator to serve got food in case there is load shadding.

Great food and milkshakes.

We had a breakfst, was so-so. Pork sausage was raw...we bhought a burger for take-away, the pattie was really raw! Thanks, bùt no thanks.

The service staff are a pleasure, combined with excellent food & at unbelievably good prices. We always return...the founding owners retired sometime in 2020 and sadly Doughys has taken a turn for the worse! Staff are still the same friendly people, prices went up although not unreasonably, however at the same time the food quality and serving size went in the opposite direction. Most affected seems to be the freshly baked goods, shelves that were previously chock-a-block is now near empty. We live closeby and always went in for lunch or breakfast, then bought a snack for later and tended to walk out hundreds of rands worth of snacks. Since the shelves emptied we havent been back in over 6 months, fortunately we found a fantastic bistro just down the block!

Good and friendly

Firstly, the waiter that were serving us were busy chewing while she was talking to us. When we ordered a piece of cake, we saw the cake standing on the counter for quite a while. When the waiter returned, we asked why it took so long and the answer was that she delivered a takeaway. It wasnt even busy and there were a lot of waiters standing around.

We had a realy bad experience on Sunday with the quality of the food are....our waiter tried her best to rectify the problem but the manager with the purple hair messed everything up

Great food, freshly baked breads and really nice coffee. Weve been there multiple times and really enjoyed our food and drinks every time. You can also buy fresh breads that are baked daily, which is really great.

Poor service. The waiter was not on duty all the time. Our food arrived cold because it was standing until she finally brought it. When I took I walk I see the waiter walking around outside. We had to go in and ask for the account after waiting ages for it because the waiter never came again to ask if we need anything

Please change all of the cheese recipes. The nachos and pizza were horrible. I ate 20% of my meal and were done. The service is great though.

Great food, good service

Food seems to be prepared long beforehand, received meals cold aswell as cold coffee. Got pita bread instead of nachos, do not recommend ordering pizza (or anything with cheese).

Its like having a meal in a bakery. The smell of fresh baked breads and the pizza oven is enough to drive a hungry person crazy. A mouthwatering selection of cakes and desserts and coffee to match.

Used to be one of my favourites, but the standard has drastically declined. A pity.Our food was expensive, tasteless and far too oily. Even Doughys famous sourdough bread was stale and far from freshly baked. A place that is really not worth your koney or time.

Food is om, a bit overpriced Id say for a scone that is really not a good portion to begin with and for that price we thought it would at least be home made strawberry jam, but all you get is a small scone with a butter and strawberry jam that franchise restaurants give you in those small co tai ers with the foil topping. Really dissapointing. At least the scone tasted nice. The people at our table also enjoyed their food.

Really really bad!!!!! Manager is rude. How do you let a customer walk out your restaurant still hungry. We ordered a steak, the meat was off. I sent it back and the manager came out informing me that all the kitchen staff took a bite and nothing is wrong with it. That meat was bad! I had to pay half of it and they didnt even asked if i would perhaps like anything else. Will never eat there again!

When ordering tea and scones at an eatery who displays and are obviously proud of their bakes and pastries, youd think that more thought and detail (and homemade strawberry jam) would go into the service and presentation. We were looking forward to a tea and scone experience, but were very disappointed in the scone on a plate, cream in a little plastic container and the jam in the foil covered packet that you normally get at a drive through. Not impressed.

Lovley place. BUT extremely cold inside. The waiter explained that the owner does not allow them to close any doors.... How ridiculous!Coffee is good, but purely because of the fact that they do not want to accomodate the clients in bad weather. I will not be visiting again. #Doughys #aweful

Not a bad place, the feta and spinach pancake was good, but the Oreo cheesecake was a bit of a disappointment, it was more cake like than cheesecake.The staff came off a little cold and sloth like.

Owner of the place have a golden opportunity to make this one of the beter establishments in Hartenbos. Awesome location, impressive menu but let down by terrible service, cold food and very long waiting for food. Staff not taking responsibilty for incorrect orders.This was not remote case, we are regular visitors to Hartenbos and experienced the same before. In fact cannot remember that we ever had a good visit to DoughysPlease Mr Owner you can make this an awesome place.

Worst ever experience at a restaurant. I pointed out to the manager that one of their staff behind the counter was sucking on a cube of ice, removing it and put it back in her mouth. (Around 5 times what I saw)She adressed the lady. The next thing I see the staff discussing me and looking at me the whole time getting dirty looks from some.Very unhygienic, unprofessional, rude and dont take any responsibility.
