We visited Hussar Grill Waterfall for the birthday of a family member on 7 October 2021. We had 2 individuals with vegetarian preferences. Of the 3 vegetarian mains on the menu, we were told the Gnocchi was out of stock, with no alternative besides the lentil curry and vegetable stack. Neither of these was in the least bit appealing. These guests made to with starters and sides. My main dish of 6 queen prawns and chips was disappointing to say the least. R210 for prawns equivalent to 12 prince prawns, and a child-size portion of chips was nowhere worth the pricetag. The option of garlic butter was literally butter with garlic, not garlic butter sauce, leaving the prawns very dry. Another guest sent their prawns back after eating just 1 with 2 of the remaining prawns (others unchecked) undercooked. The quality was not even up to the standard of a common seafood takeaway franchise.The service was the reason for the 2 stars, with staff being very friendly and accommodating.One of the meals received in the party of 7 was up to standard, another was decent. The rest were well be low the quality expected.While I understand the establishment specializes in steak, there shouldnt be items on the menu that are not up to a similar standardI will definitely not be returning for another chance.

There is nothing I can say about the Hussar Grill that has not been said. The variety of top quality meat products is genuinely without equal. The service is good a the waitrons are very knowledgeable about the menu and the options available.The starters are a good way to start the meal. The calamari and the carppacio are nice light start to the meal. The special steaks are always a good option, but i generally opt for the on the bone. The only reason I dont give this a 5 star is because I always compare it to the original Hussar grill in Rondebosch.

Deco, ambiance, and staff are as lovely as every other HG. Great dining experience. Enjoyed both the pork belly as well as the lamb shank!

Good ambiance, good COVID protocols and service is fast. Drinks come fast and you get some delicious olives and sweet potato fries to nibble. Went there for lunch. The starters were delicious spicy chicken livers. For the mains, I ordered a steak medium-rare but was very disappointed. The fries were great large cut and crispy. But a quarter of my steak was an inedible, uncooked lump of fat. Thats just cheating. My wife got a gourmet burger and asked for it medium but got one thats beyond well done and so dry. The burger bun also wasnt fresh. She barely ate it. At their prices, the mains were very disappointing and for a grill house steaks and burgers should be theyre hero dishes.

Top notch food and drink. The decor is very sophisticated and Gentlemen lounge inspired. We had smokers in the party and the restaurant does not offer smoking facilities. The springbok capacio was delightful, the muscles in cream sauce is woooow the lamb shank can feed a family and I most enjoyed the chocolate fondant. I did not enjoy my drink I had a monkey shoulder something from the cocktail list it ewww and I had the flamboyed steak which just tasted like brandy so also wont be recommending that...

We had a nice evening and ordered their date nite special. The complementary chips and olives are a nice touch. Starters were excellent. Burger was great, the steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender unfortunately the basting tasted a bit odd, in future Ill ask for traditional or pepper crusted. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Food used to be good. But today I ordered medium well for ribeye but its less than medium and hard to chew so claimed to the manager but there was no feedback unitl leaving.

Compliments to the management and team. Upon returning to Hussar Grill for the great food, the experience was absolutely phenomenal this time around, exactly what you expect. The service from the waiter was outstanding and was always around and easily to get a hold of.The food we ordered was seriously great, as mentioned before, amazing steaks. Everyone’s meal was served at the same time and exactly the way we wanted it. The quality of it was superb, and you could just hear compliments around the table about how outstanding the food was. You should definitely end it off with a dessert as they are really good!Furthermore, drinks were always brought promptly to the table, which isn’t usual a/ many restaurants seem take a while. But the service provided by the waiter was great and friendly.It was a hot day, so the climate inside was great which made everything all the more enjoyable. Restaurant was clean and pleasant decor.Old review: Great steak! All though, was let down by the poor service levels. Tables werent necessarily clean, was served glasses that were chipped and got dirty glasses when we ordered a bottle of wine. Did not particularly enjoy the ambiance of music and friendliness of waiters. Waiters seemed to be standing around staring everywhere else but tables (in my experience), while we had to make an effort to get someones attention. Worth a visit, but will not necessarily be a regular.

Date Night on Tuesdays an incredible deal for the price! Delicious food & wine, lovely ambience and great service. Well be going back soon.

Maybe cause my girlfriend and I are quite young.... We werent much of a priority since we went on the date night special and majority of people were older than us... So service was abit poor. Great food though!

Meals were served quickly and proficiently, wait staff are very friendly and personable.Well appointed menu whilst not being over loaded with too many options.Steaks were amazing and the mushroom sauce was incredible, desert was also very enjoyable.Very nice venue. Service was not great and we were sat at a dirty table. Starters were excellent, mains were ok.

Got there late when the Restaurant was closed. I explained to the lady that Im from Pretoria and someone recommended me to HuSSaR Grill. And she opened for me and the manager came and make us feel free to order and the food was something else... Thank U.

This has to be the best restaurant Ive ever been too. Not only is the food 5 star quality but also the service is great. The owner is super attentive and friendly. The waiters are highly skilled and know what they talking about. Absolutely 5 star quality.

Came here after being disappointed at La Parada and we loved every moment of it from the attentive service from the staff to the good food. Loved the sweet potato crisps that we were offered when we arrived please consider adding them to your menu they are so nice and yummy.Ordered a Hussar burger which was so juicy and tasty. My friends also enjoyed their deboned half chicken. The place is just so beautiful and the ambience so pleasant.

The mojito was very sour and I didnt like the pork belly. It tasted ok but it was very hard to chew. The dessert which was crème brûlée, was very nice.

Love the decor here! Excellent welcome by manager and great waiters. Food presented so beautifully. On couple items the look was better than the taste (calamari and avo/prawn cocktail...both starters) Steaks are however amazingly delicious!! Chicken schnitzel also great. The choc volcano cake and ice cream with all the yummy bits in was exceptional (no pics). Superb touch of the free scrumptupious liquer/pudding made of melted chocolate fondant, vodka and cream...out of this world in deliciousness and much appreciated. Will be back

Weve canceled out reservations multiple times but still they gave us great service when we finally went there. Place plays nice using on the background. You can still hear each other when you speak.

Weve often gone to Hussar Grill Waterfall Corner, so this review is well overdue. Every time weve gone, we had a wonderful experience - excellent service, great food (little pre-starters with your drinks, best calamari starter and quality steaks) and an enjoyable environment. And really good to see them exercise appropriate COVID controls upon arrival and in the restaurant - felt very comfortable and safe while dining!

Never a letdown. Its my steakhouse of choice! They dont charge corkage so you can bring your favourite bottle of wine. The steaks are grilled to perfection and you can choose from a variety of side dishes to compliment your steak.

Went through last night for dinner (12 Jan 2020) - The service was pretty average, I had to get the attention of a waiter to be seated.Ordered the pork belly chefs special - The meal was cooked well but served cold :-( also did not include the extra basting sauce I had ordered.Sent the meal back to the kitchen and they managed to warm the top only, the middle and bottom layer were still at room temperature. This is the second time this has happened at this establishment.Also, no manager came through to check up on me. The layout, location and ambiance was great, however the finer details like food presentation and temperature of the dish plays a huge part in the culinary experience.

Excellent service, Covid protocols are being followed, a good specials menu and they have my all-time favourite craft beer on tap (DB Bone Crusher). Sadly the burger wasnt the greatest - whilst not bad, the toppings came externally and the biltong was extremely hard.
